        반려동물 동행 입장에 대한 인식도 조사

        국내 반려동물 양육 가구 수가 증가함에 따라 반려동물을 동행한 여가 활동에 대한 문의와 요구가 증가하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 반려동물 출입에 따른 공원생태계에 미치는 영향 정도를 알아보기 위해 국내외 학술 연구 논문 및 참고 문헌 등을 조사하고, 국립공원 탐방객 수가 많고 반려동물 단속 건수가 많은 국내 국립공원을 선정하여 반려인과 비반려인들의 제도 공감·인식 정도에 대한 현장 설문조사 실시하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통해 첫째, 국내 반려동물 동행 여가활동에 대한 재고와 트랜드 파악으로 관련 분야의 연구활성화 및 발전을 기대할 수 있을 것이다. 둘째, 해외 선진국에서 적용하고 있는 반려동물 친화정책에 대한 이해와 제도화를 긍정적으로 검토할 수 있을 것이다. 셋째, 국립공원 이용객에 대한 맞춤형 서비스 실시로 서비스 품질향상에 기여할 것이다. As it shows stead increase in the number of Korean households raising companion animals, their enquiries and civil complaints regarding leasure activities with their companion animals in public areas in local and national parks where entry with animals are by law prohibitied especially in national parks. Therefore it is the aim of this study to identify possible effect on ecological system in a national park if entry of companion animals is considered. Thorough review of related literature would take place followed by on site survey to visitors to national parks closed situated from highly populated areas as well as those national parks frequently in violation of law by visitors with companion animals. Suggestion from the result findings are as follows; Firstly, it is highly anticipated that research on the trend of leasure activities with companion animals would soon be highlighted and developed to a further scale. Secondly, cases from the developed countries are thoroughly reviewed and focused to check any possibility of adopting in our system. Thirdly, service quality toward visitors to a national park would be well customized and enhanced.

        국립공원 내 애완동물 출입허용에 대한 탐색적 연구

        최근 반려동물을 키우는 가정이 꾸준한 증가추세에 있으며 이러한 가정에서는 휴가 또는 레저 활동에 반려동물과 함께 하길 원하는 것으로 조사되고 있다. 그러나 반려동물의 입장 이나 동행을 금지하는 지역이 상당수이며, 전국의 모든 국립공원은 그 범주에 포함되어 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 반려동물 친화정책을 실시하고 있는 서방국가의 사례를 검토하고 시사점을 제시함으로써, 특히 선진국의 국립공원 내 반려견 친화정책에 대한 우리의 이해를 넓히고 기 제정된 우리나라 국립공원의 애완동물관련 규정의 재검토를 제안하고자 한다. As we have witnessed steady increase in the number of households with companion animals recently, it has also been the case that public places are frequently visited by visitors with their companion animals, particularly domestic dogs. These pet owners want to take their pets outside as many times as possible especially when traveling. However, there are many places prohibiting admittance of visitors accompanying pets. In particular, all national parks in South Korea are one of those places. The purpose of this study was to provide a brief overview of pet friendly policies on national parks system in western countries to broaden our horizons of understanding the dog-friendly national parks policy, and to propose an ideal guidelines to the existing pet policy on national parks system in South Korea.

      • Intermolecular Structural Change for Thermoswitchable Polymeric Photosensitizer

        <P>We developed a thermoswitchable polymeric photosensitizer (T-PPS) by conjugating PS (Pheophorbide-a, PPb-a) to a. temperature-responsive polymer backbone of biacoinpatible hydroxypropyl cellulose. Self-quenched PS molecules linked in close proximity by pi-pi stacking in T-PPS were easily transited to an active monomeric state by the temperature-induced phase transition of polymer backbones. The temperature: responsive intermolecular interaction changes of PS Molecules in T-PPS were demonstrated in synchrotron small-angle X-ray scattering and UV-vis spectrophotometer analysis. The T-PPS allowed switchable activation and synergistically enhanced cancer cell killing effect at the hyperthermia temperature (45 degrees C). Our developed T-PPS has the considerable potential not only as a new class of photomedicine in clinics but also as a biosensor based on temperature responsiveness.</P>

      • Acidic pH-Triggered Drug-Eluting Nanocomposites for Magnetic Resonance Imaging-Monitored Intra-arterial Drug Delivery to Hepatocellular Carcinoma

        <P>Transcatheter hepatic intra-arterial (IA) injection has been considered as an effective targeted delivery technique for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Recently, drug eluting beads (DEB) were developed for transcatheter IA delivery to HCC. However, the conventional DEB has offered relatively modest survival benefits. It can be difficult to control drug loading/release from DEB and to monitor selective delivery to the targeted tumors. Embolized DEBs in hepatic arteries frequently induce hypoxic and low pH conditions, promoting cancer cell growth. In this study, an acidic pH-triggered drug-eluting nanocomposite (pH-DEN) including superparamagnetic iron oxide nanocubes and pH responsive synthetic peptides with lipid tails [octadecylamine p(API-L-Asp)(10)] was developed for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)-monitored transcatheter delivery of sorafenib (the only FDA-approved systemic therapy for liver cancer) to HCC. The synthesized sorafenib-loaded pH-DENs exhibited distinct pH-triggered drug release behavior at acidic pH levels and highly sensitive MR contrast effects. In an orthotopic HCC rat model, successful hepatic IA delivery and distribution of sorafenib-loaded pH-DEN was confirmed with MRI. IA-delivered sorafenib-loaded pH-DENs elicited significant tumor growth inhibition in a rodent HCC model. These results indicate that the sorafenib pH-DENs platform has the potential to be used as an advanced tool for liver-directed IA treatment of unresectable HCC.</P>

        Solar Energy Conversion by the Regular Array of TiO<sub>2</sub> Nanotubes Anchored with ZnS/CdSSe/CdS Quantum Dots Formed by Sequential Ionic Bath Deposition

        The photoanode electrode of $TiO_2$ nanotubes (NTs) anchored with ZnS/CdSSe/CdS quantum dots (QDs) was prepared by anodization of Ti metal and successive ionic layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) procedure. The tuning of the band gap of CdSSe was done with controlled composition of Cd, S, or Se during the SILAR. A ladder-like energy structure suitable for carrier transfer was attained with the photoanode electrode. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of our solar cell fabricated with the regular array of $TiO_2$ NTs anchored with CdSSe/CdS or CdSe/CdS QDs [i.e., (CdSSe/CdS/$TiO_2NTs$) or (CdSe/CdS/$TiO_2NTs$)] was PCE = 3.49% and 2.81% under the illumination at 100 mW/$cm^2$, respectively. To protect the photocorrosion of our solar cell from the electrolyte and to suppress carrier recombination, ZnS was introduced onto CdSSe/CdS. The PCE of our solar cell with the structure of a photoanode electrode, (ZnS/CdSSe/CdS/$TiO_2$ NTs/Ti) was 4.67% under illumination at 100 mW/$cm^2$.

        The Effectiveness of Lumbar Cerebrospinal Fluid Drainage to Reduce the Cerebral Vasospasm after Surgical Clipping for Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Hemorrhage

        Objective : Removal of blood from subarachnoid space with a lumbar drainage (LD) may decrease development of cerebral vasospasm. We evaluated the effectiveness of a LD for a clinical vasospasm and outcomes after clipping of aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). Methods : Between July 2008 and July 2013, 234 patients were included in this study. The LD group consisted of 126 patients, 108 patients in the non LD group. We investigated outcomes as follow : 1) clinical vasospasm, 2) angioplasty, 3) cerebral infarction, 4) Glasgow outcome scale (GOS) score at discharge, 5) GOS score at 6-month follow-up, and 6) mortality. Results : Clinical vasospasm occurred in 19% of the LD group and 42% of the non LD group (p<0.001). Angioplasty was performed in 17% of the LD group and 38% of the non LD group (p=0.001). Cerebral infarctions were detected in 29% and 54% of each group respectively (p<0.001). The proportion of GOS score 5 at 6 month follow-up in the LD group was 69%, and it was 58% in the non LD group (p=0.001). Mortality rate showed 5% and 10% in each group respectively. But, there was no difference in shunt between the two groups. Conclusion : LD after aneurysmal SAH shows marked reduction of clinical vasospasm and need for angioplasty. With this technique we have shown favorable GOS score at 6 month follow-up.

      • Nanofunctionalized Stent-Mediated Local Heat Treatment for the Suppression of Stent-Induced Tissue Hyperplasia

        <P>Current therapeutic strategies are insufficient for suppressing stent-induced restenosis. Here, branched gold nanoparticles (BGNP)-coated self-expandable metallic stents (SEMSs) were developed for a local heat-induced suppression of stent-related tissue hyperplasia. Our polydopamine (PDA) coating on SEMS allowed BGNP crystal growth on the surface of SEMSs. The prepared BGNP-coated SEMS showed effective local heating under near-infrared laser irradiation. The effectiveness of BGNP-coated SEMSs for suppressing stent-related tissue hyperplasia was demonstrated in a rat esophageal model (<I>n</I> = 52). BGNP-coated SEMS placement under fluoroscopic guidance was technically successful in all rats. The placed BGNP-coated SEMS in rat esophagus achieved three different local heat dose ranges (50, 65, and 80 °C) under fluoroscopic image-guided local irradiation. Follow-up endoscopic examination readily monitored the local heating and observed significantly decreased tissue hyperplasia at 4 weeks of local heat treatments (50 and 65 °C). Finally, Western blot, histology, immunohistochemistry (HSP70, αSMA, and TUNEL), and immunofluorescence (Ki67 and BrdU) analyses along with the statistical analysis confirmed that optimized BGNP-coated SEMS-mediated local heat treatments inducing the expression of anti-inflammatory HSP70 effectively suppresses tissue hyperplasia after stent placement in the esophagus. Our local heating with nanofunctionalized stents represents a promising new approach for suppressing stent-related tissue hyperplasia.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Savoj Zezek’s theory of ideology is based on not only that of Georg W. H. Hegel’s epistemology but also that of Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalysis. The difference of between Zezek’s and other two theorists’ is that Zezek’s theory has been designed beyond the level of analysing an individual’s mind in order to read social context. Premised on that point, this paper reads two characters, Willy and Biff from Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman through Zezek’s theory of ideology. For the process, the ideology as fantasy and its effect as well as Willy as a role infusing that ideology and Biff as an individual against it will be examined and then the fact will be shown that the ideology as fantasy is the support to subject.

        폴 드만의 전의이론을 통해서 본 에르네스토 라클로의 헤게모니이론

        Paul de Man’s theory of trope is that of rhetoric which has the reference to epistemology. On the other hand, Ernesto Laclau’s theory of hegemony is that of power which allows for continually generating trope to the figures of politics. Reading two theories comparatively, this paper aims to reveal the fact that de Man’s tropology is associated with realistic practices connected to our social lives, not left as just the theory in the area of literature. For this purpose, first of all, I will examine allegory and hegemonic suture—the way that hegemony is represented as political identities—and then present how allegory works on the hegemonic suture. Second, metaphor, metonymy, catachresis and partial retotalization as a temporary closure of the movement of signification-operation generating the effectiveness of the political identities, will be studied, and then I will present how metaphor, metonymy and catachresis function in the partial retotalization. Finally, I will illustrate the way that political opinions and identities under the operation of tropological structures are crystalized by describing the state of the period of socialism in Russia and Italy. These processes of this paper will demonstrate that tropology is not the languid system, but connected with the structure of social life or politics which is changeable and dynamic.
