        It was written at the Mao Shi prefaces (毛詩序) that Shi Jing was divided into two groups; the Zheng Poem and the Bian Poem. According to this, many scholars published various assertions on how to distinguish the Zheng Poem from the Bian Poem in Shi Jing. Conseguently, these assertions were classified into four sorts. 1) Classification by the chronological order according to the political rise and fall 2) Distinction between eulogy and satire 3) Distinction the Poem which was accompanied by music from the poem which was not accompanied by it, 4) Classification by the style of the poem My study on each assertion leads to the following conclusion: 1) Although those scholars who made the first assertion defined that Shi Jing was published by the chronological order and they distinguished the Zheng Poem from the Bian poem by the table of contents, it is proved that Shi Jing was not published by the chronological order. 2) Those scholars who made the second assertion concluded that Shi-Jing was distinguished between eulogy and satiry at every prologue in Mao Shi and that the Zheng poem and the Bian Poem could be divided into eulogy or satire accordingly. But it is proved herein that the distinction eulogy from satire in Mao Shi prefaces was possible by the country and chronology without the definite standard even though the contents of the poem were the same. 3) Those scholars who made the third assertion divided Shi Jing into two parts. One that was accompanied by music was called the Zheng Poem and the other that was accompanied by music was called the Bian Poem. But it is proved that all of Shi Jing were accompanied by music 4) Those who made the fourth assertion distinguished between the Zheng Poem and the Bian Poem by the style of the Poem. But looking into the style, it is proved that the distinction between the Zheng Poem and the Bian Poem is the style itself. Thus, the above classifications seem to be unreasonable so far. Then, why did these assertions come to rise? These assertions were due to the Han scholars who regarded the poem as a remonstration. They attempted to classify the Zheng Poem as the poem of admonition and the Bian poem as that of warning. But they did not succeed in it.

Proceedings of international Symposium on East-West Medicine, Seoul. 44-64, 1999.-Cordyceps sinensis is a major parasitic fungus on larva of Lepidoptera. It is one of the well know fungi used in traditional Chinese medicine for treatment asthma, lung and kideney diseases. Many fungi belonging to the genus Cordyceps have been demonstrated to produce natural products with various biological activities. Reported biological activities of genus cordyceps include:(a)inhibition of DNA and RNA synthesis;(b)enhancement of cell differentiation;(c)restruction of cytoskeleton;(d)inhibition of protein kinase activity;(e)antitumor activity on bladder, colon, lung carcinoma as well as fibroblastoma;(f)inhibition of the infection and revers transciptase activity of human immunodeficiency virus type 1; and(g) inhibition of methylation of nucleic acid. Thus, it is suggested that the extracts of Cordyceps sp. Contain antitumor, antiviral, and many other biological activities. In our previous studies, we proved that C. sinensis contains the antitumor and immunomodulatory agents. In the present studies, effects of C. sinensis on bronchoalveolar lavage fluids(BAL)cells were demonstrated. The crude methanolic extracts of C. sinensis were fractionated into 15 fractions by silica gel column chromatography. Effects of various fraction on BAL cells proliferation and lipopolysaccharide(LPS) stimulated interleukin-1β(IL-8),platelet activating factor(PAF), interleukin-6(IL-6), tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),and interleukin-8(IL-8) production on BAL cells were determined. The result indicated that the CS-19-22 fraction suppressed BAL cells proliferation activated by LPS. The median inhibitory concentration(IC50) was 6㎍/ml. The CS-19-22 fraction also decreased IL-1β,PAF,IL-6, TNF-αand IL-8 production.The results of revers transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR) demonstrated that the CS-19-22 fraction did not affect IL-1β,PAF,IL-6, TNF-α,and IL-8 mRNAs expression in BAL cells activated by LPS. By contrast, it inhibited the IL-10 mRNA expression but enhanced IFN-γand IL-12 mRNAs expression in activated BAL cells. Moreover, the CS-19-22 fraction blocked PAF-induced platelet aggregation. It is unlikely that cytotoxicity was involved. Because no cell deths were observable. We hypothesize that inhibitory mechanisms of CS-19-22 on BAL cells proliferation may be related to the impairments of gene expression and production of cytokines in BAL cells. The explanation of C. sinensis antiasthma function may involved the following(1)C.sinenesis contained immunomodulatory agents that stimulated IFN-γand IL-12 expression in TH1cells.(2)Enhanced secretion of IFN-γand IL-12 will inhibit the Tγcells immune responses Ex. Decreasing of IL-6 and IL-10 production.(3) The impairments of cytokines production in TH2 cells suppressed th BAL cells proliferation then more cytokines production Ex.IL-1β,PAF,IL-6,TNF-αand IL-8 in activated BAL cells were decreased. (4)The suppression of TH2cells immune responses will inhibit the growth and differentiation of B cells then IgE production will be decreased. (5)Reduced production of IgE will decreased asthma attack occurring in individuals. However, the results of the present study suggested that C. sinensis may also have acted to treat asthma in part by inhibiting BAL cells proliferation and cytokine gene expression and production. Future, experiments with treatment of animals with asthma with C. sinensis will be necessary to defined whether C. sinensis can reduce asthma injury. Plans are underway for the isolation of pure principal growth inhibitors and their mechanisms of action are subjected for further study.

        Hot Deformation Characteristics and Processing Map Analysis of Pre-Forged AZ80 Magnesium Alloy

        The hot deformation behavior of pre-forged AZ80 magnesium alloy is investigated by the isothermal compression tests attemperatures of 523–683 K and strain rates of 0.0001–0.1 s−1, and analyzed by the processing maps for guiding isothermaldie forging. Flow localization and even cracking occurs at low temperatures and high strain rates, where shear deformationdegree shows a positive correlation with the ��( ̇�� ) value. Two stability regions with high efficiency is found out by theprocessing maps. At common stability region with high temperatures and low strain rates, peak power dissipation efficiencydoes not represent optimum deformation condition as reported in other materials. A Z parameter criterion is introduced forparameters optimization. javascript:void(0); a new stability domain of 523–590 K and 0.0001–0.01 s−1 is observed, which istypical for fine microstructure composed of equiaxed clean α-Mg grains and big particles both about 1 μm (573 K/0.01 s−1).Super plasticity is speculated to occur at that condition.

      • 우리나라 鍾乳窟의 特性과 環境汚染에 關한 硏究

        This paper reviews the general status of stalactite caves which were found and are utilized for sight-seeing in Korea, and also summarizes the results of investigations on properties of natural stalactite caves. The cavernous phenomena such as the water quality, atmospheric phenomena, secondary grown products, ecological adaptation, environmental pollution and the breakage of stalactite are compared between those of cave a which are opened already sight-seeing and unresults are discussed and also compared with the caves in other countries. Environmental pollutions in Korean stalactite caves are as the following : The animate matters in caves are disappeared gradually from the time of exposure for sight-seeing. The kinds and abundance of the animate matters favoring the cavernous life or coming from the outside of caves have relativity to temperature, moisture and atmospheric conditions in caves. The water quality is consistent throughout the entire flow passage in a cave, but calcium content were less with the increase of flowing water volume in a cave. Atmospheric phenomena at entrance of a cave show a slight difference from the inner atmosphere, and the moisture content in cavernous atmosphere are increased with the cave depth. The secondary growth of stalactite are not taken place at the entry, because of low moesture content in air. However, stalactite secondary growth were prominent at inner cave where the moisture content is more than 90%. The temperature variation in the caves are negligible through all seasones in a year. The following conditions are critical to conserve the cavernous environmental pollution and the original form of caves. Some caves should not be exposed to the sight-seeing for academic studies. If the caves are open for sight-seeing, the entrance should be restricted with an adequate to limit the changes of atmospheric phenomena. In rainy season, the surface water flowing outside of cave should be protected from entering into the caves and water pool should be drained out to outside of cave. Proper number of waste cans should be provided along the pathway in the caves.

        Korea was rapidly enlarging her economic scale by successful implementation of five consecutive terms of five year economic development plans. But the economic growth of Korea so stressed on the outward. phisical growth that it raised the various problem such as the unbalances between regions, classes and industries. The most important problem to solve in Korea is that of the conflicts between classes. Public assistance is very important program to solve this problem in Korea. The purpose of this study is, therefore, to find out the desirable direction of public assistence in Korea. This thesis is composed of 6 Chapters. These are 1) Introduction 2) The System of Public assistance 3) Theoretical Background 4) Current Situation Analysis 5) Evaluation 6) Conclusion. In Chapter Ⅱ. The system of public assistance is devided into 2 parts. These are ⅰ) The concept of public assistance ⅱ) The system of public assistance in Korea. In Chapter Ⅲ. Theoretical background introduces the framework and method for analysis of Korea public assitance program. In Chapter Ⅳ, Ⅴ. I tried to analyse and evaluate the life care program in Korea according to dimensions of allocation, provision, delivery system and finance. In Chapter Ⅵ, I suggested some policy recommendations for Korean public assistance program. These are : 1) It is urgent to secure the professional for selection of the recipients. 2) In the dimension of allocation, the decision time for eligibility of the recipients should be flexible based on necessity principle. 3) In the dimension of provision, the lavel of minimum living standard should be measured by scientific methods. 4) In the dimension of delivery system, it is necessary to reorder of welfare administration organization for recipients' accessibility. 5) In the dimension of finance, various devices should be considered for securing finance.

      • 우리 나라 自然洞窟의 地理的 分布와 그 特性에 관한 硏究

        Many Natural Caves are spreaded over the our country. In old times, the forefathers made use of them for the house, the shelter, a place of the discipline, and the military base. At large these caves are divided into the three classes. They are limestone cave, Lava tunnel and sea erosional cave. Limestone cave are spreaded over the area of Sam-Chuck, Young-Wol, Pyong-Chang, Jeong-Seon in Kang Won Do, and Dan-Yang in Chung-Cheong Buk-Do and Ull-Jin in Kyong-sang Buk-Do, Lava tunnel is distributed to Che-Ju Island. We can discover sea erosional cave in the souther coast region. The caves witch are famous for limestone cave are Song-Ryu cave in Ull-Jin. Go-Si cave and Yong-Dam cave in Young-Wol, Hwa-Am cave in Jeong-seon, Go-Su cave and On-Dal cave in Dan Yang, Cheon-Ho cave in It-San, Yeong-Jae cave in Hwa-sun and Gim-Nyeon cave, Man-fang cave, Bilemok cave, Hyeb-Jae cave in Che-Ju Island. Most of them are develop for the tourist exploitation. Go-Si cave is famous for the rare creature. Then all of our limestone eave are distributed to the region of limestone cave. Most of them belong to Ordovician period. Their development was established in ancient time. Among Speleothem of the cave in our country particulary, stractite and stalagmite advanced on a large scale, and a lot of colum are immence. The other hand, the entrance of Lava tunnel in Che-Ju Island have anything peculiar which was built when the ceiling was sink. Then our caves have a great value of academic by the reason of the geographical spectacle. The character of creature in the cave will be a great help to the academic study. In addition, the cave which has a profitable condition in the tourist exploitation issuspected to develop in future.

      • 乾畓直播畓과 湛水直播畓의 土壤物理性 變化에 따른 用水量 및 合理的 管理體系에 관한 硏究

        Direct seeding culture of paddy rice on upland field is one of the most productive laborsaving cultivation of rice. The present study was conducted to clarify the relationship between percolation loss, and growth and yield of rice in the direct seeding cultures on upland and submersed Held. The results were as follows : 1) The percolation loss in the upland condition was 16.8 mm per day and in the submerged, it was 12.5mm per day. However the total water requirement on the upland was 462,5 mm and that of the submerged was 829.3mm which was 79.3% more than the water requirement in the direct seeding culture on the upland field. 2) The growth of rice on the submerged field was greater than that of the upland. The end of tillering stage appeared about at the end of July on the submerged field. It appeared at the beginning of August on the upland field. 3) Stem height, spike length, grain weight and straw weight in the direct seeding on the upland field were less than those on the submerged. On the other hand, grain number per ear and thousand-grain-weight on the upland field were greater than those on the submerged. 4) Deeper-plowing-plot resulted better growth and yield of rice than the control plot.
