Investigation on Phase-change Synapse Devices for More Gradual Switching

The architecture of phase-change synapses that can have more intermediate states was studied by means of TCAD simulation. After thorough investigation on the cell geometry effects, it was found that the line-and-space type architecture yields more intermediate states but consumes more power than the confined architecture does. In fact, phase-change memory has evolved from the former to the latter to achieve better power efficiency and more abrupt transition. This trade-off between the cell architectures must be overcome to make a synapse with both less power and gradual transition.
New Generalized Sidelobe Canceller with Denoising Auto-Encoder for Improved Speech Enhancement

<P>In this paper, a multichannel speech enhancement system which adopts a denoising auto-encoder as part of the beamformer is proposed. The proposed structure of the generalized sidelobe canceller generates enhanced multi-channel signals, instead of merely one channel, to which the following denoising auto-encoder can be applied. Because the beamformer exploits spatial information and compensates for differences in the transfer functions of each channel, the proposed system is expected to resolve the difficulty of modelling relative transfer functions consisting of complex numbers which are hard to model with a denoising auto-encoder. As a result, the modelling capability of the denoising auto-encoder can concentrate on removing the artefacts caused by the beamformer. Unlike conventional beamformers, which combine these artefacts into one channel, they remain separated for each channel in the proposed method. As a result, the denoising auto-encoder can remove the artefacts by referring to other channels. Experimental results prove that the proposed structure is effective for the six-channel data in CHiME, as indicated by improvements in terms of speech enhancement and word error rate in automatic speech recognition.</P>

본 연구에서는 축소형 산화제과잉 예연소기의 운용을 위하여 토치점화기를 이용한 연소실험을 수행하였다. 초기 점화구간에 안정적인 점화를 위하여 산화제의 유량을 67%만 공급하였다. O/F 60, 연소압력 5 bar에서는 토치점화기가 꺼진 후 불안정한 연소를 보였으며, 설계조건인 O/F 60, 연소압 60 bar에서는 안정적인 연소가 되었다. 추후 유동안정화를 통한 연소온도를 확인하여 목표 온도에 구현되는지 실험할 예정이다. In this study, Combustion Test was carried out using a Torch Igniter for operation of a Oxidizer rich pre-burner. Only 67% of the Oxidizer wass supplied for stable ignition in the Initial ignition section. at O/F 60, Combustion Pressure 5bar, combustion was unstable after the torch igniter was switched off. It was stable Combustion at the design Condition O/F 60, Combustion Pressure 60 bar. Later, It is necessary to confirm whether the combustion temperature through the flow stabilizer is realized at the target temperature.
