Legacy transmission through fashion films: Visual and narrative brand heritage integration
Paloma Díaz Soloaga,Dominguez Gemma Muñoz,Zhou Jing 한국마케팅과학회 2023 Journal of Global Fashion Marketing Vol.14 No.4
On this research, we analyze how fashion houses transmit the spirit of the brands, convey the values that constitute their identity and show their heritage through fashion films. High end luxury brands with a long heritage such as Dior and Chanel, use audiovisual narratives fashion films, a form of visual and artistic communication, where the content establishes an emotional relationship between brand and customers and recreates the origins of the brand. Authors primarily selected, classified, and analyzed all fashion films that Chanel and Dior had published on YouTube, and then study a series of represen- tative samples selected from all those contents created by fashion brands. Based on the number of views, likes and comments of each video, it is possible to see the interaction between the brand and the audience and the engagement among the different fashion films. It also delves into the key of the brand to unearth the inheritance and tradition of its origin, trying to record the history of “Maison” to reach a wider audience and convey a series of values to new digital con- sumers. The combination of heritage and vitality through digital activities is oriented to deliver values that have a significant impact on the audience.
Robust Fractional Embedded Cubature Kalman Filter for Fractional Nonlinear Stochastic System
Jing Mu,Changyuan Wang,Wuqi Gao,Feng Tian,Jianlian Cheng 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2022 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.20 No.11
In this study, the fractional embedded cubature Kalman filter (FECKF) and robust fractional embedded cubature Kalman filter (RoFECKF) are proposed to design the estimate the states for fractional-order nonlinear discrete systems with Gaussian and non-Gaussian measurement noise, respectively. We develop FECKF algorith by extending embedded cubature Kalman filter to fractional nonlinear stochastic system with Gaussian noise. Meanwhile, RoFECKF is put forward to increase the estimation robustness under noisy measurements by applying the Huber method to FECKF. Simulation results on adaptive system identification and re-entry target tracking system demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed approach.

Purpose: To assess bony trabecular changes potentially caused by loading stress around dental implants using fractal dimension analysis. Methods: Fractal dimensions were measured in 48 subjects by comparing radiographs taken immediately after prosthesis delivery with those taken 1 year after functional loading. Regions of interest were isolated, and fractal analysis was performed using the box-counting method with Image J 1.42 software. Wilcoxon signed-rank test was used to analyze the difference in fractal dimension before and after implant loading. Results: The mean fractal dimension before loading ($1.4213{\pm}0.0525$) increased significantly to $1.4329{\pm}0.0479$ at 12 months after loading (P<0.05). Conclusions: Fractal dimension analysis might be helpful in detecting changes in peri-implant alveolar trabecular bone patterns in clinical situations.

Alu Tandem Sequences Inhibit GFP Gene Expression by Triggering Chromatin Wrapping
Xiu Fang Wang,Xiao Yan Wang,Jing Liu,Jing Jing Feng,Wen Li Mu,Xiao Juan Shi,Qin Qing Yang,Xiao Cui Duan,Ying Xie,Zhan Jun Lu 한국유전학회 2009 Genes & Genomics Vol.31 No.3
Alu elements belonging to the short interspersed nuclear elements (SINE) of repetitive elements are present in more than one million copies which altogether represent 10% of the whole human genome. In this study, the roles of Alu tandem sequences in the process of GFP gene (GFP) expression and packing into chromatin of its DNA were studied. To detect the effect of Alu repeats on gene expression, different copies of Alus were inserted GFP downstream respectively in pEGFP-C1 vector. We found that Alu sequences decreased the amount of GFP transcription, the percentage of GFP positive cells and the accessibility to DNase I in length-dependent manner. Inserting Alu caused the production of higher-molecular-mass RNA, indicating Alu sequence did not induce premature transcriptional termination. Tight packing chromatins keep silent and resist to DNase I digestion, which is a general phenomenon. We suggested that head and tail tandem Alu sequences suppressed GFP expression in length dependent manner by triggering chromatin packing.

Adrenergic, alpha-1B-, receptor (ADRA1B) and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma, coactivator 1 beta (PPARGC1B) genes are involved in regulation of hen ovarian development. In this study, these two genes were investigated as possible molecular markers associated with hen-housed egg production, egg weight (EW) and body weight in Chinese Dagu hens. Samples were analyzed using the polymerase chain reaction-single strand conformation polymorphism (PCR-SSCP) technique, followed by sequencing analysis. Two novel single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were identified within the candidate genes. Among them, an A/G transition at base position 1915 in exon 2 of ADRA1B gene and a T/C mutation at base position 6146 in the 3'- untranslated region (UTR) of PPARGC1B gene were found to be polymorphic and named SNP A1915G and T6146C, respectively. The SNP A1915G (ADRA1B) leads to a non-synonymous substitution (aspartic acid 489-to-glycine). The 360 birds from the Dagu population were divided into genotypes AA and AG, allele A was found to be present at a higher frequency. Furthermore, the AG genotype correlated with significantly higher hen-housed egg production (HHEP) at 30, 43, 57, and 66 wks of age and with a higher EW at 30 and 43 wks (p<0.05). For the SNP T6146C (PPARGC1B), the hens were typed into TT and TC genotypes, with the T allele shown to be dominant. The TC genotype was also markedly correlated with higher HHEP at 57 and 66 wks of age and EW at 30 and 43 wks (p<0.05). Moreover, four haplotypes were reconstructed based on these two SNPs, with the AGTC haplotype found to be associated with the highest HHEP at 30 to 66 wks of age and with higher EW at 30 and 43 wks (p<0.05). Collectively, the two SNPs identified in this study might be used as potential genetic molecular markers favorable in the improvement of egg productivity in chicken breeding.

Peng, Jing Lun,Kim, Kyung Dae,Jo, Mu Hwan,Kim, Moon Ju,Lee, Bae Hun,Kim, Ji Yung,Chemere, Befekadu,Kim, Si Chul,Kim, Byong Wan,Sung, Kyung Il The Korean Society of Grassland and Forage Science 2018 한국초지조사료학회지 Vol.38 No.4
This study was conducted to perform the suitability analysis of whole-crop rye (Secale cereale L.) based on the climatic information in the Republic of Korea to present useful information for producers and policy makers to determine the site-selection for the cultivation of the whole-crop rye. The criteria to analyze the climatic suitability of whole-crop rye was developed firstly. Then, the climatic suitability map for spatial analysis was developed through weighted overlaying the raster layers of climatic items in the evaluation criteria. Meanwhile, 16 geographically representative weather stations were selected to show examples of the calculation process of the climatic suitability score of a specific cultivation area. The results of the climatic suitability mapping indicated that the climatic conditions in most arable lands of the Republic of Korea such as the coastal, southern, western areas in the southern region of the Korean Peninsula and central areas in Jeju Island are suitable for the cultivation of whole-crop rye. The climatic suitability scores of the 16 weather stations were all in line with the results of the climatic suitability map.
