        세계 사과 수출시장 비교분석을 통한 국산 사과 수출 제고방안

        The opening of the market has been expanded through the FTA. As a result of the increase in imports, the damage of apples, the representative fruit of Korea, was directly or indirectly shown. The purpose of this study is to compare the export competitiveness of Korean apples on the global stage. This study analyzed the export competitiveness and determinants of Korea, China, USA and Chile. The NRCA index and gravity model (PPML) were used for the analysis. As a result of the analysis, the main apple producing countries such as China, USA and Chile secured the market for neighboring countries first. Since then, these countries have been expanding their exports to FTA partners. However, in Korea, apple exports were concentrated in Taiwan. The price competitiveness was also analyzed as weak, and it was found that they export expensive products. Therefore, Korea should diversify its export markets to FTA countries and neighboring countries. We also need to strengthen market penetration through high-quality products and secure market dominance with low-end products.

        세계 축산업 수출경쟁력 변화에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 자유무역을 통해 세계 축산물 교역이 활성화되고 있는 상황에서 전 세계 주요 축산물 수출국의 경쟁력 변화를 분석하는 데 목적이 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 현시비교우위(RCA)지수를 개선한 정규화 현시비교우위(NRCA) 지수를 이용하여 축산물 수출 경쟁력의 동태적 변화와 국가 간 경쟁력의 변화를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 수출 경쟁력은 질병 발생에 따라 크게 변화하는 것으로 나타났으며, 수출 경쟁력이 부족한 국가임에도 불구하고 FTA 체결에 따른 관세 인하로 상대적 우위인 비교우위가 있는 경우 수출이 확대되는 것으로 분석되었다. 특히 관세가 단기에 철폐되는 경우 수출경쟁력이 낮은 국가임에도 수입국의 시장 점유율 확대에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이는 향후 한국의 축산물 수출에서 상대국에 대한 시장접근 강화 전략은 국내 축산물의 수출 확대로 이어져 상대국 시장 점유율을 증가시킬 수 있음을 의미한다. 그러나 본 연구는 주요 수출국 내의 정책이 경쟁력에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지에 대한 연구와 한국 외 기타국과의 관계를 고찰하지 못한 점에 있어 한계를 가지며 이는 향후연구로 남긴다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the changes in the competitiveness of major livestock exporting countries in the world, where trade in livestock is enlarging through free trade. In this study, we examine the dynamics of export competitiveness of livestock products and the changes in competitiveness among countries using the NRCA method which improved RCA. As a result, the export competitiveness changed significantly according to the occurrence of the disease, and it was analyzed that the exports expanded according to the comparative advantage according to the tariff reduction despite the lack of export competitiveness. In particular, if tariffs are eliminated in the short term, even the country's export competitiveness is low, but it has a large effect on the market share of importing countries. It is also expected that this will expand market share in the export of livestock products in Korea by strengthening market access to other countries. However, this study has limitations in studying how policy in major exporting countries affected competitiveness and the relationship with other countries outside of Korea.

      • High Throughput Ultralong (20 cm) Nanowire Fabrication Using a Wafer-Scale Nanograting Template

        <P>Nanowires are being actively explored as promising nanostructured materials for high performance flexible electronics, biochemical sensors, photonic applications, solar cells, and secondary batteries. In particular, ultralong (centimeter-long) nanowires are highly attractive from the perspective of electronic performance, device throughput (or productivity), and the possibility of novel applications. However, most previous works on ultralong nanowires have issues related to limited length, productivity, difficult alignment, and deploying onto the planar substrate complying with well-matured device fabrication technologies. Here, we demonstrate a highly ordered ultralong (up to 20 cm) nanowire array, with a diameter of 50 nm (aspect ratio of up to 4 000 000:1), in an unprecedented large (8 in.) scale (2 000 000 strands on a wafer). We first devised a perfectly connected ultralong nanograting master template on the whole area of an 8 in. substrate using a top-down approach, with a density equivalent to that achieved with e-beam lithography (100 nm). Using this large-area, ultralong, high-density nanograting template, we developed a fast and effective method for fabricating up to 20 cm long nanowire arrays on a plastic substrate, composed of metal, dielectric, oxide, and ferroelectric materials.       • Size-dependence of plasmonic Au nanoparticles in photocatalytic behavior of Au/TiO<sub>2</sub> and Au@SiO<sub>2</sub>/TiO<sub>2</sub>

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Au nanoparticles (NPs) with sizes of 3, 7 and 17nm and their corresponding Au@SiO<SUB>2</SUB> core–shell structures have been selectively synthesized and loaded on the TiO<SUB>2</SUB> surface to obtain six different plasmonic photocatalysts. In decomposing salicylic acid (SA) under UV–visible light, all photocatalysts reveal significantly enhanced catalytic activity than the bare TiO<SUB>2</SUB>. Interestingly, the 3nm-sized Au NP-loaded TiO<SUB>2</SUB> (Au3/TiO<SUB>2</SUB>) exhibits the highest activity among the bare Au-loaded TiO<SUB>2</SUB>, whereas the Au17@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> shows the highest value among the Au@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>-loaded TiO<SUB>2</SUB> systems. In the Au/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> systems, it is derived that the space-charge separation is dominant factor in enhancing photocatalytic activity and the gradual decrease of catalytic activity with increase of Au NP size is caused by the increased localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) sensitization effect. In the Au@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> systems, however, space-charge separation or LSPR sensitization by Au NP is fundamentally blocked by the insulating SiO<SUB>2</SUB> shell. Thus the local electric field enhancement is the major factor in enhancing the photocatalytic activity, explaining why the photocatalytic activity of Au@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> increases rapidly as the size of Au NP increases.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> 3, 7 and 17nm-sized Au and Au@SiO<SUB>2</SUB> NPs were selectively synthesized. </LI> <LI> Photocatalytic activities of the various Au/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> and Au@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> were analyzed. </LI> <LI> Au17@SiO<SUB>2</SUB>/TiO<SUB>2</SUB> demonstrated the highest photocatalytic activity. </LI> <LI> Size-dependent LSPR effects in the photocatalytic reaction were investigated. </LI> </UL> </P>

        Importance of no-rain measurements on the comparison of radar and rain gauge rain rate

        <P>This study evaluated four possible cases of comparing radar and rain gauge rain rate for the detection of mean-field bias. These four cases, or detection designs, consider in this study are: (1) design 1-uses all the data sets available, including zero radar rain rate and zero rain gauge rain rate, (2) design 2—uses the data sets of positive radar rain rate and zero or positive rain gauge rain rate, (3) design 3—uses the data sets of zero or positive radar rain rate and positive rain gauge rain rate and (4) design 4—uses the data sets of positive radar rain rate and positive rain gauge rain rate. A theoretical review of these four detection designs showed that only the design 1 causes no design bias, but designs 2, 3 and 4 can cause positive, negative and negative design biases, respectively. This theoretical result was also verified by applying these four designs to the rain rate field generated by a multi-dimensional rain rate model, as well as to that of the Mt Gwanak radar in Korea. The results from both applications showed that especially the design 4, which is generally used for the detection of mean-field bias of radar rain rate, causes a serious design bias; therefore, is inappropriate as a design for detecting the mean-field bias of radar rain rate.         Real-Time Continuous-Scale Image Interpolation with Directional Smoothing

        A real-time, continuous-scale image interpolation method is proposed based on a bilinear interpolation with directionally adaptive low-pass filtering. The proposed algorithm was optimized for hardware implementation. The ordinary bi-linear interpolation method has blocking artifacts. The proposed algorithm solves this problem using directionally adaptive low-pass filtering. The algorithm can also solve the severe blurring problem by selectively choosing low-pass filter coefficients. Therefore, the proposed interpolation algorithm can realize a high-quality image scaler for a range of imaging systems, such as digital cameras, CCTV and digital flat panel displays.

        Improvement of Beam-Quality Evaluation Method for Medical Linear Accelerator Using Magnetic Field

        Beam-quality of medical linac evaluations vary by diverse factors. Because conventional beam-quality evaluation methods yield fragmentary results, a new beam-evaluation method is suggested, and its feasibility is evaluated. The PDDs (percentage depth doses) of 6 MV (Mega-voltage) and 10 MV photon, R (Range) of a 6 MeV (Mega Electron-voltage) and 9 MeV electron were measured and compared with the conventional evaluation methods, and the improved methods PDD<SUP>10</SUP>5, PDD<SUP>20</SUP>10, PDD<SUP>30</SUP>20, PDD<SUP>20</SUP> 5, PDD<SUP>30</SUP> 10, and R<SUP>70</SUP> 50, R<SUP>50</SUP> 30, R<SUP>70</SUP>30 as the magnetic field of the bending magnet was changed to +2% to ?2%, and the results were compared. The comparison showed that the improved methods exhibit a higher discrimination than the conventional methods in each energy regime. PDD<SUP>10</SUP>5, PDD<SUP>30</SUP>20, PDD<SUP>30</SUP>10 and R<SUP>70</SUP>50, R<SUP>50</SUP>30 should be applied. These methods exhibit a higher discrimination in each energy regime than conventional beam-quality evaluation methods; therefore, they should be used for beam-quality evaluation according to the magnetic field variation.
