<P>We mapped spatially varying intramolecular electronic structures on a pentacene-gold interface using scanning tunneling spectroscopy. Along with ab initio calculations based on density functional theory, we found that the directional nature of the d orbitals of Au atoms plays an important role in the interaction at the pentacene-gold contact. The gold-induced interface states are broadened and shifted by various pentacene-gold distances determined by the various registries of a pentacene molecule on a gold substrate.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/nalefd/2010/nalefd.2010.10.issue-3/nl904119y/production/images/medium/nl-2009-04119y_0005.gif'></P>

The automobile seat must satisfy various safety regulations for the passenger's safety. In many design practices, each component is independently designed by concentrating on a single related regulation. However, since multiple regulations can be involved in a seat component, there may be design confliction among the various safety regulations. Therefore, a new design methodology is required to effectively design an automobile seat. Design sensitivity analysis is calculation of the rate of change of responses with respect to design variables. Designer can choose the effective design variables and get the information for direction of improved design with design sensitivity analysis. So, design sensitivity analysis is used determination of design variables of automobile seat. In addition, non-linear analysis is used determination of design variables of automobile seat by safety regulations. There was comparison between design sensitivity and non-linear analysis results.
High Gain and Wide Range Time Amplifier Using Inverter Delay Chain in SR Latches

<P>This paper presents a time amplifier design that improves time resolution using an inverter chain delay in SR latches. Compared with the conventional design, the proposed time amplifier has better characteristics such as higher gain, wide range, and small die size. It is implemented using 0.13µm standard CMOS technology and the experimental results agree well with the theory.</P>
A CMOS Class-E Power Amplifier With Voltage Stress Relief and Enhanced Efficiency

<P>This paper proposes a class-E power amplifier (PA) with double-resonance circuit to reduce voltage stress on CMOS transistors. The voltage waveform applied to the CMOS transistor is shaped by harmonic control and the transistors are relieved from breakdowns. A negative capacitance is also implemented for efficiency enhancement, compensating for surplus capacitance from parasitic components on the drain node. Thus, nominal class-E operation is restored and high efficiency is achieved. We present a cascode differential class-E RF PA that is fabricated using a 0.13-¿ m CMOS technology that delivers 31.5-dBm output power with 54% drain efficiency and 51% power-added efficiency at 1.8 GHz.</P>
SDN 기반 다중 Wi-Fi 네트워크를 통한 협력적 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 시스템

본 논문은 다중 Wi-Fi 네트워크상에서 SDN 기반 협력적 HTTP 적응적 스트리밍 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 시스템은 다중 경로 기술을 이용하여 제한된 무선 대역폭의 한계를 극복한다. 그뿐만 아니라, SDN 기술을 통해 불안정한 무선 네트워크 상태를 신속하게 대응하여 클라이언트에게 높은 품질의 스트리밍 서비스를 제공한다. 이를 위해 SDN 컨트롤러는 주기적으로 AP로부터 수집된 트래픽 정보를 바탕으로 영상의 비트레이트와 다중 경로 간 데이터 전송 비율을 제어한다. 제안하는 시스템은 실제 Wi-Fi 네트워크상에서 구축되었으며 성능을 검증하였다. In this paper, we propose a cooperative HTTP adaptive streaming system over SDN-enabled multiple Wi-Fi networks. The proposed system employs multipath technology to overcome the limited wireless bandwidth. Moreover, SDN technology is used to rapidly respond to unstable wireless network conditions and provide high-quality streaming services. To archive the goal, the SDN controller periodically monitors the traffic information collected from the APs, and based on this information, adjusts video bitrate and data transmission ratio over multiple network interfaces. The proposed system is implemented in real Wi-Fi network environments. Also, it is verified that the proposed system can provide high-quality streaming services.
