        VARIATION OF 24-HOUR INTRAOCULAR PRESSURE IN SILICONE OIL–FILLED EYES

        <P>Purpose:To evaluate the variation of 24-hour intraocular pressure (IOP) in silicone oil (SO)-filled eyes.Methods:Prospective, nonrandomized comparative case series of 42 eyes of 21 patients, each with an SO-filled eye after vitrectomy. The fellow eyes served as controls. Each subject slept the usual 8 hours, and IOPs were measured at 4-hour intervals over 24 hours, twice before sleep (5:30 and 9:30 pm), twice during sleep (1:30 and 5:30 am), and twice after sleep (9.30 am and 1:30 pm). Intraocular pressure was measured in the sitting position using a Goldmann applanation tonometer. The SO-filled eyes and fellow eyes were compared with respect to diurnal-to-nocturnal and nocturnal-to-diurnal IOP changes.Results:At all 6 time points, SO-filled eyes had higher mean IOPs than fellow eyes (all P < 0.05). For both groups, mean nocturnal IOP was higher than mean diurnal IOP (both P < 0.001). Changes in diurnal-to-nocturnal IOP and nocturnal-to-diurnal IOP between SO-filled eyes and fellow eyes did not differ significantly (P > 0.05, respectively). The peak IOP occurred in the nocturnal period for all fellow eyes and for 94.7% of SO-filled eyes.Conclusion:The IOP of SO-filled eyes varied over a 24-hour period, peaking largely in the nocturnal period, as observed for the IOP of fellow eyes.</P>

        들깨 유전자원의 단백질함량과 지방 및 지방산 특성

        공시된 들깨 지방재래종 90개 품종의 단백질함량, 지방 및 지방산을 분석한 결과 다음과 같다. 1. 숙기별로는 중ㆍ만생종의 평균단백질 함량은 22.4%로 비교적 낮았고, 품종분포가 대부분 평균치에 가까웠으며, 조생종은 평균단백질 함량이 24.1%로 비교적 높았다. 2. 평균단백질함량은 소립종(천립중3.0~4.0g이하)이 23.0%로, 중립종(천립중 4.0~5.0g)이나 대립종(천립중 5.0~6.0g)의 22.1%보다 높은 경향이었다. 3. 기름함량은 조생종이 42.6%로 가장 적었고, 중생종이 44.5%, 만생종이 45.5%로 기름함량이 많았으며, 립중별로는 소립종이 44.2%, 중립종이 43.1%, 대립종이 41.5% 대립종일수록 낮은 경향이었다. 4. 지방산조성은 숙기가 늦어짐에 따라 Oleic acid와 Linolenic acid는 다소 많았고, Linoleic acid는 적어지는 경향이었다. Linoleic acid는 극대립종에서 15.5%로 가장 높았고 립중이 가벼울수록 높아지는 경향이었다. 5. 기름함량과 지방산 비율간의 상관 정도를 보면 기름함량과 Palmitic acid, Linoleic acid는 負의 상관이나, Stearic acid, Linolenic acid는 正의 상관을 보였다. Stearic acid는 Oleic acid와 유의적인 정의 상관을 , Linoleic acid와는 부의 상관을 보였다. Oleic acid는 Linoleic acid 및 Linolenic acid와 고도로 유의한 부의 상관을, Linoleic acid는 Linolenic acid와, 포화지방산은 불포화지방산과 유의한 부의 상관을 보였다. Korean local collected strains or varieties of perilla analyzed on their protein and oil content and fatty acids composition in the seed. The strains analyzed were 90 of which grown in the experimental field of Chungbuk Agricultural Research and Extension Services at Cheongwon and Umseong from 2001 to 2002. The seed protein contents of 90 perilla varieties ranged from 19.1% to 29.0% and the average content was 22.8%. There differed by the seed coat color showing 1.9% higher content in light gray than that of dark brown, which may suggest that the seed coat color could be used as a marker gene for breeding high protein varieties. Oil content of medium and late varieties in maturity showed higher as compared to early varieties, and appeared differences by seed coat color, and small seed varieties showed higher seed oil content than in large seed varieties by seed size. Linoleic and linolenic acid content of which major fatty acids in perilla seed were 74.4% in average of tested varieties. Fatty acid composition of perilla varieties were not significantly different by maturity, seed coat color and 1,000 seed weight. Oil content showed high positive correlation, with stearic and linolenic acids and negative correlation with linoleic acid.

        As the construction projects have become more complicated and larger in scale, management have been more important in construction. But owner in public sector usually commits construction supervision to the private management firms. So there is a big problem that Supervision doesn't control cost, time, contract and so on. The purpose of this study is to select the priority decision of construction management tasks according to project phases, especially in public sector. This study may help owner when owner contracts management service with private management firms.

        Atomic absorption method has been compared with atomic emission spectrometry for the determination of magnesium. Atomic absorption method are shown to be serious diverse ions and acidities effect, therefore these effects are eliminated by the addition of LaCl3. Atomic emission method are not shown interference effects in the analysis of magnesium.

      • 폐타이어 담체를 이용한 유동상 생물막공정의 고도처리 효율에 관한 연구

        Organic and nutrient removal was investigated in a full scale fluidized phase biofilm process of 800m-(3)/day using waste tire media for domestic wastewater treatment. Various internal reciculation ratio was set as an operation condition to enhance nitrogen removal efficiency. The process operation results are as follows. Significantly high removal efficiency above 94% could be obtained by the biofilm process in terms of organics(BOD&COD_(Mn)) and suspended solid(SS). Relatively low nitrogen removal of 53% was observed at the internal recycling 100% of influent flow rate. However the removal efficiency could be increased to 70% at 200% internal recycling. The process showed also considerably high T-P removal efficiency of 80% producing effluent concentration of 0.68mg/L for 3.38mg/L influent.

        Value Engineering(VE) is in force for strengthening the competitiveness in internal construction industry. But, although there are systematic, technical efforts, VE is recognized only a method of cost saving in internal construction industry. Each phase of VE has not been connected organically and cut. It has focused only cost saving in target selection phase and function definition has been performed by original functions that target has. This study suggests the connection process between a target selection of preparation phase and a function definition of analysis phase, and reflects needs of clients and users and project characters in the target selection. This study suggests a method of an effective function definition

        The Fast Track is the Method for accelerating schedule through the activities that are normally done in series are done in parallel. But it should not have been effective in Public construction, because the owner did not have confidence to success the fast track project. so, this study proposes the model selecting the project that is more effective to apply fast track. The model is made up two factors; one is owner's organization and the other is each project's characteristics. The use of these model enable owner to provide the Guide Line of the rational making decision.

      • 대형 애트리움의 Constructability 향상 방안

        Researchers and practicing engineers have paid more considerable attention gradually to alternative approaches to project integration, such as partnering, design-build, and constructability. The research and application of these approaches should be actively performed for project performance improvement through the positive interaction among production-related parties in the domestic construction industry where design-bid-construction types are generally used for project delivery. The purpose of this paper is to propose the constructability improvement method for larger atrium constuction. A Hybrid Constructability Model which is composed of a pre-construction phase constructability activities and a constructability activities, is suggested through analyzing the effect of the interaction enhancement to the project performance improvement and comparing and analyzing the characteristics and the processes of partnering and constructability.

        The purpose of this study is to improve the subcontract payment process in domestic Construction industry. This study researches the previous documents and payment processes of construction company so that improves subcontract payment process. Recently, subcontract increase with time in domestic construction industry. But many subcontract companies have difficulty in financing problems because of unreasonable practice. Requesting a payment, contractor and subcontractor make out a payment so their time and effort necessarily were spent. Therefore unnecessary things are removed in subcontract payment process so that settle a reasonable subcontract payment process.

      • 건설VE의 기능정의와 FAST작성 개선에 관한 연구

        The purpose on this study was to compare and analyze the VE implementation tendency inside and outside of the country, development of methodology in function definition and proposal for computerized FAST diagram creation by suggested VE concept module. To prevent VE/M Methodology application from the non-efficiency application, the Supports and Detachable Units in SAR Methodology which used in multi-housing design, SVM(Systematic Value Methodology) diagram of the Shaozhi(2002) and Classification of ISO 1994 were applied to this actual practice as the FDM(Function Definition Module). The Improvement of this function definition method, computerized FAST diagram creation, and applying the VE Concept module is to be used to create much ideas for enhancement in construction field.
