        Recent development booms in the upper and middle area of urban watersheds have changed the hydrological responses of watershed due to increase of impermeable areas. Urbanization has brought about an increase of peak flood and total discharge volumes greatly compared with pre-urbanization flood. Some of the people living in the lower area of an urban watershed, very often and seriously, have suffered from inundation. A new concept for urban storm water management is reduction of runoff from the sources in site. This concept has been applied in some countries such as Japan and it has turned out to be an effective measure for urban storm water management. The purpose of this study is to suggest the methodology for the design of storm water reduction facilities. And the design of runoff reduction facilities from source areas and guidelines for the formulation of storm water management policy were proposed. The runoff reduction facilities are including on-line type and off-line type ponds.

      • 도시하천의 환경 친화적 개선방안에 관한 조사연구

        The three main steams flowing through Taejon have some serious problems to be solved or improved. They are : First, the uniform cross section of the rivers should be changed. Second, the extension of the riverside road should be reconsidered. Third. the neighborhood parks on the flood plain should be modified. Fourth, the flood plain parking place must not be constructed. Fifth, the ecosystem will be destroyed by the structure constructed along the rivers. In this study, we suggest that the investment and research on the development of the new technology for the setting the rivers in natural condition should be needed now and the continuous investigation and long-term plan to preserve the ecosystem of the rivers should be required. The environmental conditions of Taejon-stream, Yudung-stream and Kap-stream are indicators of the standard of living of the citizens in Taejon. Now is the time to reconsider the careless construction around the rivers and to prepare the long-term plan for the protection of the ecosystem and natural environment.

      • 간경변 환자에서 콜히친 사용에 의한 호중구성 백혈구감소증 1예

        Colchicine is an alkaloid that has been used for treating acute gouty arthritis, psoriasis, scleroderma and Behcet's syndrome. Colchicine decreased liver fibrosis in rats with carbon tetrachloride induced cirrhosis and in patients with many liver diseases. Therapeutic oral doses of colchicine may cause nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. The adverse effect of colchicine associated with the dose is bone marrow suppression, and especially neutopenia. Neutropenia has often been reported in patients have taken an overdose of colchicine. We describe a 64-year-old female liver cirrhosis patient with neutropenia that was induced by a therapeutic dose of colchicine.

        성(誠)사상에 대한 교육철학적 인식

        The purpose of this study is to recognize Seong(誠) thought based on Educational Philosophy. Seong thought is one of the thinking systems discussing human nature on Korean philosophical tradition and provides a frame of cognition in the light of Educational philosophy. That means Seong thought interprets the logic of morality and cultivation educationally in order to maintain human nature and world order. Seong thought, originating from Heaven, considers that there is the appointment of Heaven in human mind and human can reach the appointment of Haven through the reflection of mind. And the Seong thought established the concept of virtue connecting Heaven and Human. Virtue, which is immanent in mind, is to realize the will of Heaven. When the virtue is realized based on Heaven, one can be a whole person of character. One's nature is expressed by Seong, and the Seong has moral meaning and has been established as an idealogical system. Seong thought includes an ideal person of character that can be accomplished based on the appointments of Heaven and it, as a law of nature, has moral regulations based on the regulations of Nature. From this stand point of Seong thought, analogical thinking on educational philosophy becomes possible. Seong thought, which establishes a thinking system of educational philosophy to embody humanistic life based on discussion about human nature, can be cognized as a central issue of educational thinking on Korean traditional education. The characteristics of Seong, which has achieved its intellectual development on moral practice in our daily life, shows its merits clearly. The meaning system of Seong thought absorbed in traditional Korean thought takes a place as a substance and identity of wisdom on our education.

        For reasonable curriculum modification and development corresponding with training to competent middle-level, engineers as educational object of Technical Junior College this research was carried out as following process; 1. Collection and analysis of present curricurn in civil engineering department of domestic Junior College including the curriculum of foreign Junior College. 2. Organization of advisory committee for industry school cooperation and visiting industry and interview 3. Organization of all Korea Civill engineering department chief Committee 4. Result of research through the questionnaire for all Korea representative industry and academic could be summarized as follows; 1) wide contact between college education and industry field should be strengthened, and field experimental education was strengthened to consider of ability, and construction management was edited Compulsory major 2) For the adaption trend of variety and subdivision of construction skill E.D.P.S education was edited compulsory. 3) The curriculum was endeavoured to fundamental science 4) The curriculum enlarged the range of the optional subject which is able to manage the flexible curriculum for characterization of each Local junior college and endeavoured consideration of field adapting ability by classifing the civil design into construction design and integration, Hydraulic design and integration, Earth design and integration 5) The curriculum of academic theories and experiments were unificated into single subject for the purpose of flexible management 6) The curriculum was edited in the ratio which is 20 to 80 between liberal and majoring arts in presentation on the basis of all accounts of opinion from the academic and field worker, and emphasized the importance of language education industrial english conversation because of demand of much ability along with foreign advance of construction technique 7) The curriculum was emphasity of the field experiments training based on the information by all opinion. By operating this curriculum, it is expected that the relationship between industry and academic will be efficiently considered 8) the present system of second grade National Technical Qualification Test while at college is in high level similar to the first grade, and has been required some of the majoring academic the-ories to pass of it's qualification concentrically. Because of this reason, it must be efficiently studied to educated prospective technicians demanding from industry organization and academy according to the educational gaal of Junior Technical College for improvement plan

      • Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate의 분해반응에 대한 속도론적 연구

        하천수에서 분리해 낸 SDS(Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate) 분해균주에 의하여 분해균주량의 변화와 SDS의 농도변화를 주어 SDS를 분해시킬 때 그 분해반응을 속도론적으로 연구하였다. 실험결과 SDS의 분해를 BOD로 표시하여 분해률을 측정한 속도식은 1차로 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 분해균주량의 변화와 SDS농도의 변화에 따른 속도상수는 분해규준량에는 영향을 받지 않으나 SDS의 농도에는 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 활성화에너지는 5.304kcal/mol, 활성화 파라메타인 ???와 ???는 각각 4.69kcal/mol, -56.90 e.u.임을 알았다. Kinetic studies were carried out for change in BOD of SDS degradating microorganism isolated from river water. It is found that the decomposition of SDS is first order. Rate constants for the decomposition of SDS and its degrading microorganism found not to have an influence on variation of SDS-degrading microorganism but have an influence on SDS concentration. And thermodynamic parameters, Ea, ???? and ????, were obtained the value of 5.304kcal/mol, 4.69kcal/mol and -56.90 e.u., respectively.

      • 컴퓨터 모의실험을 이용한 Stop-and-wait ARQ 기법 성능 평가

        ARQ schemes are commonly used in various communication areas, for instance TCP protocol, to combat communication packet errors and there are three different types of ARQ protocol. In this paper, the performance of stop-and-wait ARQ scheme is evaluated with computer simulation and then compared with analytical results. Two different traffic generation modes are considered: the first one is the saturated traffic model and the other one is periodic arrival model based on exponential distribution. For performance measures, link utilization and average packet delay are used in this paper. According to numerical results, it is known that performance results from computer simulations coincide well with those by mathematical analysis. For the further study, we will continue to carry performance evaluations of two other ARQ schemes, go-back-N ARQ and selective repeat ARQ schemes.

      • 나선형 사각덕트 형상변화에 따른 온도분포 및 냉각특성에 관한 연구

        Temperature distributions and cooling characteristics of cooling jacket for spindle system with built-in motor are studied. Numerical analysis is carried out on six helical quadrilateral duct to investigate the temperature distribution and the cooling characteristics in the helical quadrilateral duct. For the analysis, three dimensional model for the cooling jacket is built by using finite volume method. The three dimensional model includes the estimation on the amount of heat generation of bearing and built-in motor and the thermal characteristic values such as heat transfer coefficients on the boundary. The temperature distributions and the cooling characteristics are analyzed by using the commercial software FLUENT, and the results of numerical analysis are compared with the experimental data. Numerical results show that stream-wise cross section area and pitch are important factors for cooling characteristics of cooling jacket. Cooling performance of cooling jacket is good, when stream-wise cross section area and pitch are small. This results show that heat transfer is dominated by velocity profile and heat transfer area. It is concluded that cooling characteristic of jacket can be reasonably estimated by using the three dimensional numerical model.

      • 섬유강화 복합재료의 사출성형에 있어서 섬유배향에 미치는 성형조건의 영향

        Injection molding is a very important industrial process for the manufacturing of plastics objects. During an injection molding process of composites, the fiber-matrix separation and fiber orientation are caused by the flow of molten polymer/fiber mixture. As a result, the product tends to be nonhomogeneous and anisotropic. Hence, it is very important to clarify the relations between separation orientation and injection molding conditions. So far, there is no research on the measurement of fiber orientation using image processing. In this study, the effects of fiber content ratio and molding condition on the fiber orientation-angle distributions are studied experimentally. Using the image processing method, the fiber orientation distribution of weld-line parts in injection-molded products is assessed. And the effects of fiber content and injection molding conditions on the fiber orientation functions are also discussed.

        Cystine calculi is the consequence of cystinuria, an autosomal recessive defect of the transepithelial of cystine and dibasic acids in the kidney and intestine. The hardness and frequent reccurrence of cystine stones present a special challenge to the urologist. we report a case of 15-year-old man who had a cystine calculi, which was successfully treated with percutaneous lithotripsy (PCNL), extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) &edical therapy include high fluid intake, alkalinization and chelating agent.
