Characteristic material parameters of CIGS solar cell related with device performance

CIGS solar cells with power conversion efficiency (PCE) in the range of 1.82%–12.30% were obtained by using two-step process, and were further analyzed through various measurement techniques. Material parameters showed diverse values and some trends depending on the device performance. The lower performance device showed small integrated PL intensity, short minority life time, larger defect density and lower activation energy, whereas the higher performance device showed opposite values. We investigated relationship between material parameters and PCE of solar cells, and found that some physical parameters such as integrated PL intensity, minority life time, defect density, and difference between band gap and activation energy (Eg-Ea), which all reflect defect states in bulk and at pn interface, are strongly related with PCE and would be used as a good indicator to evaluate device performance quickly.

본 논문에서 대상이 되는 가공공정의 제품은 자동차 Axle에 장착되는 Hub Assembly의 부품인 Non Driven이며, 생산성 향상 및 품질문제 해결을 목표로 Gantry Robot, Conveyor, Gripper Hand 등을 개선을 위한 변수로 설정하여 공정분석 및 개선을 수행하였다. 실행방안으로서 가공설비에 소재를 투입 및 배출하는 이송작업을 직선이송으로 동일화 하고, 소재의 투입과 배출을 동시에 수행함으로서 가공설비의 비가동 시간을 최소화 하여 공정시간을 기존 대비 12.5% 단축하였으며, 가공소재의 이송 과정에서 회전동작을 배제하여 중력낙하에 의한 제품의 손상을 원천적으로 제거하였다.
A Complex Search Technique for Solving the Quadratic Assignment Problem

An algorithm recently developed by Enkhbat et al. based on continuous relaxation of the quadratic assignment problem generates suboptimal solution of good quality on average giving no sufficient enough verification on global optimality of the generated solution, whereas a branch and bound method provides a solution with verified global optimality, taking on input an upper bound close to global optimality. In this research we investigated possibility for combining these two techniques, so that firstly upper bound is obtained from the relaxed problem using a continuous global optimization, then a branch and bound procedure is taken to solve the problem completely.
Distributional effects of Ger area redevelopment in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia

Ger area in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia has unique characteristics as nomadic portable dwellings have been clustered in the urban area through massive migration with a transition to a market economy. Since it has given rise to serious urban problems, including low-density urban sprawl, lack of basic services and infrastructure, and city-wide environmental pollution, Ger area has been dealt with as squatter and informal settlement to be eventually redeveloped. This study concentrates more on the fact that Ger area has become a legitimate settlement through the privatization of land, recognizing that the privatized land is a real asset by which Ger residents take advantage of the redevelopment as an opportunity to overcome poverty. In this regard, it examines how the land asset distributed free of charge, has contributed to asset accumulation of Ger residents through redevelopment. Empirical simulation based on financial cost–benefit assessments reveals that all redevelopment profits belong to developers exclusively, while Ger residents do not share any profit. Therefore, it is recommended that the redevelopment profit be shared with Ger residents, including the joint venture model in which the profit is distributed in proportion of land and capital equity investment with land price reflected potentialities of high-density land use. It is also recommended that some of the redevelopment profit be converted into providing affordable housing and, particularly in the scheme of land value capture, providing off-site and connecting infrastructure which otherwise the government supplies with taxpayers’ money.
Shortest Path Routing with Large-Margin

We present a new discriminative approach to routing inspired by the large-margin (max-margin) criterion serving as basis support vector machines. Our formulation uses the benefit of the dualization convex program, it is possible to be standard solvers to learn the weighting metrics of the shortest path routing and theoretically we found weight settings that could perform within a few percent from that of the optimal general routing.
