웹 사용자들 중 멀티미디어로 제공되는 동영상 Streaming 정보에 접근하는 사람의 비율이 매우 빠르게 증가하고 있는 요즘 이러한 멀티미디어 Streaming 서비스를 동시에 좀 더 많은 사람들에게 양질의 서비스를 하려면 어떤 부분의 개선이 요구 되어지며, 또 이 Streaming 서버가 어떠한 형태의 서비스를 하는지, 어느 정도의 시스템을 필요로 하는지에 대하여 알아 보기 위하여 Streaming 서비스를 해주는 일반적인 서버를 보통의 하드웨어성능을 가지는 PC에 설치하여 실험 하여 보았고 그 결과로 서버를 구성하는데 있어서 Streaming Server들이 가질 수 있는 문제 즉 Load가 발생되는 부분을 알아보고 있다. 실험의 결과로 볼 때 현재 일반적인 PC나, Streaming Server Hosting을 하는 업체에서 사용하고 있는 서버하드웨어는 Streaming service를 하기에는 적합하지 않지만, 문제점을 알고 적절한 하드웨어 Resource의 주가로 좀 더 효과적인 서비스를 할 수 있도록 하고자 한다.
디젤기관의 연소실 형상 및 연료 성상 변화에 의한 기관성능 및 배기배출물 배출 특성

Ethylene glycol mono-normal butyl ether(CH₃(CH₂)₃O(CH₂)₂OH), also known as EGBE, is an oxygenated additive that contains 27.1% oxygen by weight and is well soluble in diesel fuel. It is a colorless liquid chemical that has been evaluated for use as a diesel fuel component. Experiments were conducted by using the four blends with different volumetric percentage of EGBE(5, 10, 15 and 20%) in baseline diesel fuel. The test engines were single and four cylinders, four stroke, DI and IDI diesel engine performanced. Also, data was collected for steady state operation at engine speed-load conditions. The focus of this study was to investigate the effects of the addition of oxygenated fuel to on the engine-out emissions and the performance on smoke emission of all EGBE blends were reduces substantially in comparison with conventional diesel fuel on each engine.<br/> Theses results indicate that EGBE blended fuels may be an effective blendstock for diesel fuel as an environment-friendly alternative fuel.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We report the temperature-dependent resistivity <I>ρ</I>(<I>T</I>) of chalcogenide NiS<SUB>2-<I>x</I> </SUB>Se<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB> (<I>x</I> = 0.1) using hydrostatic pressure as a control parameter in the temperature range of 4–300K. The insulating behavior of <I>ρ</I>(<I>T</I>) survives at low temperatures in the pressure regime below 7.5kbar, whereas a clear insulator-to-metallic transition is observed above 7.5kbar. Two types of magnetic transitions, from the paramagnetic (PM) to the antiferromagnetic (AFM) state and from the AFM state to the weak ferromagnetic (WF) state, were evaluated and confirmed by magnetization measurement. According to the temperature–pressure phase diagram, the WF phase survives up to 7.5kbar, and the transition temperature of the WF transition decreases as the pressure increases, whereas the metal–insulator transition temperature increases up to 9.4kbar. We analyzed the metallic behavior and proposed Fermi-liquid behavior of NiS<SUB>1.9</SUB>Se<SUB>0.1</SUB>.</P>

간접분사식 디젤기관에서 모노에테르계열 함산소연료의 적용에 관한 연구

In this paper, the effect of oxygen component in fuel on the exhaust emissions has been investigated for an indirect injection diesel engine. It was tested to estimate change of engine performance and exhaust emission characteristics for the commercial diesel fuel and oxygenated blended fuel which has four kinds of mixed ratio. And, the effects of exhaust gas recirculation(EGR) on the characteristics of NOx emission have been investigated. Ethylene glycol mono-n-butyl ether(EGBE) contains oxygen component 27% in itself, and it is a kind of effective oxygenated fuel of mono-ether group that the smoke emission of EGBE is reduced remarkably compared with commercial diesel fuel, that is, it can supply oxygen component sufficiently at higher loads and speeds in diesel engine. It was found that simultaneous reduction of smoke and NOx was achieved with oxygenated fuel and cooled EGR method.
