뎅기열 발병은 전 세계 인구의 약 1/3이 거주하고 있는 열대, 아열대 기후에 집중되며, 우리나라도 아열대 기후로 바꾸고 있어 뎅기열 발병에 취약해지고 있다. 뎅기열은 감염병 관리 차원에서 진단 이력 관리가 중요하다. 감염병 이력에 따라서 지역별, 연령별, 남녀비율 등에 따라서 개개인의 치료 방법과 전략을 수립할 수 있는 체계가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 뎅기열 관제시스템을 제안하며, 이러한 시스템은 뎅기열의 발병에 대한 체외진단기기를 이용한 실시간 집계방식으로 발병률과 사망률을 감소시킬 수 있는 전략을 수립하는 데 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 뎅기열 관리를 위한 관제시스템 구성으로 형광면역진단 키트를 이용한 뎅기열 체외진단기기와 실시간 뎅기열 관제시스템으로 구성되어 있다. 본 논문으로 개발된 뎅기열 관제시스템은 향후 정부의 감염병 통합정보와 결합되어 다양한 감염병 관리 및 정책 활용을 위해서 활용될 수 있을 것이다. Dengue virus transmission is a viral infection disease between humans and Aedes mosquitoes. Dengue is ubiquitous throughout the tropics and subtropical zones, where 1/3 of the global population live. The weather in Korea is also changing to subtropical weather, resulting in increased vulnerable Korean population to dengue virus transmission. It is important to control and prevent the dengue risk with track-recording & monitoring system. It is also required to have the control system to treat and monitor dengue patients with various cases such as regions, ages, genders according to the track-record of the disease. In this paper, we developed a Dengue Control & Prevention System, which can monitor and control dengue outbreaks in real-time with in-vitro diagnostic devices. Dengue Control & Prevention System is composed of in-vitro diagnostic device, which is a fluorescent immunoassay, and real-time monitoring system. In the future, we expect that our Dengue Control & Prevention System can be upgraded to have various disease information from Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency for government policies and diseases control in Korea.
인터모달 자동화물운송시스템을 위한 회전정렬형 대차의 개념설계 및 해석

본 논문은 도로와 철도를 포함하는 인터모달 자동화물운송시스템을 위한 화물열차 대차 구조를 소개하고, 레일에 대한 반력 해석 결과를 논한다. 새로운 운송시스템은 시간과 비용을 획기적으로 절약할 수 있는 회전 정렬형 철도차량 방식을 기반으로 한다. 개념 설계 단계에서 고려해야하는 중요한 문제 중의 하나는 궤도 및 대차의 특징적인 형태에서 발생하는 레일에 가해지는 횡력이다. 특히 주행 궤도에서 플랫폼 구간으로 바뀌는 천이구간에서 큰 횡력이 발생하는데, 해석 결과를 바탕으로 향후 시스템 설계 시 참조할 수 있는 설계 가이드를 제공하고자 한다. 해석 결과, 제안하는 구조가 궤도 안정성 및 주행 안정성 면에서 문제가 없어 실제 시스템에 적용할 수 있는 구조이며, 주행 구간에서 플랫폼 구간으로 궤도가 변하는 곳에서 궤도의 선형을 설계할 시, 곡률 반경과 플랫폼 궤도 사이 거리가 중요한 변수임을 밝혀졌다. This paper presents the conceptual design and reaction force analysis of a bogie structure for an inter-modal automated transportation system, including road and rail transportation. The proposed system was based on a train with rotation-aligning bogie mechanism that can save significant time and cost. One of the critical issues in conceptual design is the lateral forces applied to the rail caused by the characteristic shapes and structure of the rails and bogie. In particular, the lateral forces are significant in the transition section between the driving and platform sections. This paper provides design guidance for the transition section through reaction force analysis. Based on the analysis result, it was confirmed that the proposed concept can be a valid design candidate of a practical system, and the radius of the rail and the distance between rails are major factors for reaction force generation.
Control Strategy and Algorithm for Levitation of Over-actuated Passive Maglev Tray System

This paper presents a strategy and an algorithm for levitation control of an over-actuated passive maglev tray system. The passive maglev tray system has more actuators than its degrees of freedom. The actuators of the system are switching when the tray travels longitudinally. Furthermore, the levitation forces of the actuators are non-homogeneous because the actuation devices are not in the moving platform. These characteristics make a limit in using conventional control approaches for levitation. For smooth actuator switching, the actuator force generation should be dependent on longitudinal positions of the tray. To enable constant pose tracking, this research introduces a control strategy and a control algorithm based on integral controllers on virtual variables. The states of the tray are estimated using a Kalman filter and fed to the proposed controller. The performances of the proposed control strategy and the algorithm are validated through tests.
Adverse fetal outcomes in pregnant rabbits experimentally infected with rabbit hepatitis E virus

<P>Hepatitis E virus (HEV) causes severe hepatitis in pregnant women, with associated poor fetal outcomes. To study HEV viral pathogenesis, pregnant rabbits were infected with low-and high-dose rabbit HEV at 2 weeks gestation. HEV was identified in the serum, feces, and liver tissue of infected rabbits, and dose-dependent fetal mortality rates ranging from 67% to 80% were observed. The aspartate transaminase (AST)/alanine transaminase ratio was significantly higher (P < 0.01) in high-dose infected rabbits than low-dose infected and negative control rabbits 14 days post infection (dpi). Tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha) was significantly higher in low dose (P < 0.01) and high-dose infected rabbits (P < 0.001) than in negative controls 7 dpi. High-dose HEV-infected rabbits produced significantly more interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma; P < 0.05) than negative control rabbits at 7 and 14 dpi. High levels of AST, TNF-alpha, and IFN-gamma may substantially influence adverse fetal outcomes in pregnant rabbits infected with high-dose HEV.</P>
Ground Vehicle Localization based on Inertial Measurement Signals

Terrain profiles can be a basis of localization even in the absence of Global Positioning System (GPS). Especially, the pitch rate signals of a ground vehicle well represent the fingerprint of the current position. In this paper, we introduce two possible methods for localization. Both methods are based on spectrograms of the signals. The first one is based on hash labels that are widely used for audio searching algorithms. The second is a normalized gray-level correlation method that considers the spectrograms as images and uses an inner product operation to compare the images.
