        The Effect of Korean Wave on Young Generation and Creative Industry in Indonesia

        이 논문은 한류에 대한 인도네시아의 크리에이티브 업계와 젊은 세대의 대응을 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 한류의 세계화로 인해 한류는 2002년에 인도네시아에 유입되었고, 이때부터 인도네시아에 “한국의 시대”가 열리게 되었다. 문화의 다이아몬드 모델 및 세계화에 대한 대안적 접근으로 시작하여 이 논문은 학생들에 대한 소규모 서베이와 문헌연구에 바탕하여 본격적 논의를 전개한다. 서베이 결과에 의하면, 인도네시아 젊은이들은 한류의 세계화를 가능하게 했던 요인들, 즉 한류의 내용과 배급체계, 그리고 한국 정부의 지원 등의 요인들에 대해 충분히 이해하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 인도네시아 젊은이들은 한류의 인기가 인도네시아의 크리에이티브 업계로 하여금 한국의 대중문화를 참고로 더 좋은 작품을 만들도록 자극하는 효과가 있다고 본다. 이 논문의 분석은 또한 젊은이들이 인도네시아 정부가 그들이 인도네시아 문화에 더욱 관심을 가질 수 있도록 노력을 강화할 것을 기대하고 있다는 사실도 보여준다. 더불어, 이 논문은 인도네시아에서 한류의 인기가 높아진 데에는 인도네시아 중산층의 증가, 도시의 사이버 세대, 그리고 기술의 발달이라는 요인들이 중요한 역할을 하였음을 강조하고 있다. 마지막으로 저자들은 인도네시아의 문화적 경제적 발전을 위해 자신들의 대중문화를 발전시켜 세계 시장에 수출한 한국의 경험을 참고할 것을 제안하고 있다. This paper aimed to depict responses of Indonesian creative industry and young Indonesia on the presence of Korean popular culture (Korea Wave). Globalization of Korean Wave has reached Indonesia in 2002 and it began to take Indonesia into “era of Korea”. By conducting a small survey to students and using literature review, the paper applying cultural diamond model and using alternative globalization approach as entrypoints for discussion. The survey results showed that young Indonesian has a comprehensive understanding on factors that contributed to Korea Wave’s globalization, namely content and delivery of Korea Wave, as well as the role of Korea government. They pointed out the facts that Korean Wave popularity in Indonesia has been inspiring Indonesian creative industry workers to make better works, in particular using Korean popular culture as a reference. The paper presented the expectation of young Indonesian to the government to enhance their efforts to make young Indonesian more interested in their national culture. The discussion concluded that popularity of Korean Wave in Indonesia was possible because of, among others, Indonesia has a significant number of middle class, urban cyber new generation, and advance technology. Finally, through a study on globalization of Korean Wave, the authors suggest a reference for Indonesia to follow or catch-up culturally and economically using South Korea’s experiences in developing and exporting her pop culture in global market.

      • Structured Pruning of Deep Convolutional Neural Networks

        <P>Real-time application of deep learning algorithms is often hindered by high computational complexity and frequent memory accesses. Network pruning is a promising technique to solve this problem. However, pruning usually results in irregular network connections that not only demand extra representation efforts but also do not fit well on parallel computation. We introduce structured sparsity at various scales for convolutional neural networks: feature map-wise, kernel-wise, and intra-kernel strided sparsity. This structured sparsity is very advantageous for direct computational resource savings on embedded computers, in parallel computing environments, and in hardware-based systems. To decide the importance of network connections and paths, the proposed method uses a particle filtering approach. The importance weight of each particle is assigned by assessing the misclassification rate with a corresponding connectivity pattern. The pruned network is retrained to compensate for the losses due to pruning. While implementing convolutions as matrix products, we particularly show that intra-kernel strided sparsity with a simple constraint can significantly reduce the size of the kernel and feature map tensors. The proposed work shows that when pruning granularities are applied in combination, we can prune the CIFAR-10 network by more than 70% with less than a 1% loss in accuracy.</P>

        Mullite-bonded porous SiC-based Mn3O4–Ni system: control of electrical resistivity, flexural strength, and extrusion

        An electrically conductive mullite-bonded porous SiC-based Mn 3O4–Ni system was designed, which provided low-temperature sintering and excellent extrudability into complex shapes. Each designed composition contained kaolin (30 wt%) and Mn3O4 (10 wt%) as sintering aids. The combination of Ni (0–20 wt%) and sintering temperature (1100–1300 °C) regulated the electrical resistivity (5.5 × 10 7–3.4 × 10 –1 Ω cm) and flexural strength (33 ± 2–59 ± 3 MPa) of the sintered samples. Inter- face reactions formed secondary phases [e.g. nickel silicide (Ni 2Si) and manganese silicate (MnSiO 3)], which decreased the electrical resistivity. The in situ formation of mullite and an increased amount of Ni collectively improved the flexural strength. The sample with 15 wt% Ni sintered at 1200 °C in argon fl ow had a low electrical resistivity of 5.6 × 10 –1 Ω cm and a good flexural strength of 51 ± 4 MPa. The same composition was extruded to form a square honeycomb structure to verify the large-scale viability of the developed composition.

        THE P3-DOMINATION IN GRAPHS

        Let G be a graph and u,v be any vertices of G. Then u and v are said to be P3-adjacent vertices of G if there is a subgraph of G, isomorphic to P3, Containing u and v. A P3-dominating set of G is a set D of vertices such that every vertex of G belongs to D or is P3-adjacent to a vertex of D. The P3-domination number of G denoted by P3 (G) is the minimum cardinality among the P3-dominating sets of vertices of G. In this paper we introduce and study the P3-domination of a graph G and analogous to this concept we define the P3-independence number P3 (G), P3-neighbourhood number P3 (G) and P3-domatic number dP3 (G). Some bounds and interesting results are obtained. Also the P3-adjacency motivated us to define new graphs in particular P3-neighbourhood graph, P3-complete graph, P3-regular graph, P3-complement graph and P3-complementary graph, some basic properties of these graphs are introduce and new method to construct any r-regular graph is established. finally we generalize the domination of graphs.

        An Energy Efficient Interference-aware Routing Protocol for Underwater WSNs

        Interference-aware routing protocol design for underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) is one of the key strategies in reducing packet loss in the highly hostile underwater environment. The reduced interference causes efficient utilization of the limited battery power of the sensor nodes that, in consequence, prolongs the entire network lifetime. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient interference-aware routing (EEIAR) protocol for UWSNs. A sender node selects the best relay node in its neighborhood with the lowest depth and the least number of neighbors. Combination of the two routing metrics ensures that data packets are forwarded along the least interference paths to reach the final destination. The proposed work is unique in that it does not require the full dimensional localization information of sensor nodes and the network total depth is segmented to identify source, relay and neighbor nodes. Simulation results reveal better performance of the scheme than the counterparts DBR and EEDBR techniques in terms of energy efficiency, packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay.

        등간격으로 된 여러 개의 유출구와 말단의 배출이 있는 관수로에서 G 인자를 유도하였다. G인자는 관수로의 유출구 수에 따라 사용되는 마찰공식의 함수이며, 관의 입구에서부터 첫 번째 유출구까지의 거리가 유출구 사이의 간격과 같을 때 직접 수두손실의 계산에 사용될 수 있다. 그러나 관수로 하류 말단부에 배출량이 없을 때에는 G 인자는 잘 알려진 Christiansen의 F인자가 되며, G 인자는 여러 개의 유출구를 가진 관수로의 구간별 설계를 가능하게 한다

        Observation of the magnetic entropy change in Zn doped MnFe2O4 common ceramic: Be cool being environmental friendly

        We report the detail investigation on the magnetic and magnetocaloric behaviour of polycrystalline Mn1-xZnxFe2O4 (0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.7) ferrite. The magnetization analysis shows that the increase of Zn concentration in the samples results in decrease of saturation magnetization. The maximum magnetic entropy change, |ΔSmMax| is evaluated through M-H isotherms measurements and takes values of 1.25, 1.11, 1.07, and 0.64 Jkg-1K-1 for x = 0.0, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7, respectively under a maximum applied magnetic field of 2.5 T. The corresponding relative cooling power (RCP) for these samples were found to be 102, 162, 96, and 89 Jkg-1 for x = 0.0, 0.3, 0.5, and 0.7, respectively. After the comparison of the obtained values of |ΔSmax M| and RCP with those reported earlier for the other compounds, recommend to explore such common soft ferrites based materials for magnetic refrigeration.

      • On Estimation Of Negative Polya-Eggenberger Distribution And Its Applications

        In this paper, the negative Polya-Eggenberger distribution has been introduced by compounding negative binomial distribution with beta distribution of I-kind which generates a number of univariate contagious or compound (or mixture of) distributions as its particular cases. The distribution is unimode, over dispersed and all of its positive and negative integer moments exist. The difference equation of the proposed model shows that it is a member of the Ord`s family of distribution. Some of its interesting properties have been explored besides different methods of estimation been discussed. Finally, the parameters of the proposed model have been estimated by using a computer programme in R-software. Application of the proposed model to some data, available in the literature, has been given and its goodness of fit demonstrated.
