An integrated resort has high competitiveness in attracting foreign tourists with a focus on the casino which activates the local economy by creating employments. Meanwhile, it has been noticed that local residents exhibit negative attitude toward the casino business, which results in delaying the process of integrated resort development plan. Therefore, this study aims to theoretically review the four integrated threat factors that local residents perceive toward the casino business and empirically apply them to the two cases of integrated resort development in Jeju. Research hypotheses focus on testing the impact of integrated threat recognition on the casino business on the residents`` attitude toward integrated resort development plan. The results report that the three factors including the anxiety between groups, realistic threat, and symbolic threat significantly decide the level of residents attitude toward integrated resort development. Among the three factors, it has been confirmed that symbolic threat has relatively the highest influence.

Background: This study investigated the effects of sustained natural apophyseal glides (SNAGS) technique on lower back pain and pain disability among university students with lower back pain. Methods: A total thirty 20~30 year old university students with lower back pain were divided into two groups. A lumbar flexibility exercise was applied to the control group (n=15). The SNAGS technique group (n=15) received L1~L4 segment mobilization using SNAGS technique. Intervention was implemented for 20 minutes, 3 times a week for 3 weeks. The SNAGS were performed using belt with flexion and extension, whereas lumbar flexibility exercise included lumbar flexion and extension. Lower back disability was measured using the Korean Oswestry disability index (KODI), and pain sensitivity was measured by pain pressure threshold (PPT). The groups were assessed for lower back pain disability and pain, before and after the intervention. Results: There were significant improvements in both the KODI and PPT of the SNAGS technique group (p<.05), while the lumbar flexibility exercise group showed no significant change (p>.05). In addition, the SNAGS technique group had a statistically significant difference in KODI and PPT compared to the lumbar flexibility exercise group (p<.05). Conclusion: SNAGS technique is more effective than lumbar spine joint flexibility exercise in the improvement of lower back pain disability and pain among university students with lower back pain.

The development of attachable mobile platform is necessary for the automated operation on the vertical walls of large steel structures like ship blocks. In this paper, we developed an autonomous mobile platform incorporating a new type magnet wheels. These magnetic wheels were developed using timing pulley and permanent magnets. Also, we inspected the adhesive strength of the magnet wheels and the mobile platform.

The serratus anterior muscle is a large muscle located on the lateral aspect of the thorax. After first transfer as a free flap by Takayanagi and Tsukie in 1982, it has recently been used for reconstruction of the soft tissue defect of head and neck lesions as well as extremity injuries. It also has been transferred in combination with latissimus dorsi muscle, rib bone, and skin in reconstructing extensive compound defects. Authors have treated with free serratus anterior muscle flap in 15 cases of skin and soft tissue defect from May 1994 to June 1996. The sites of reconstruction were lower extremities in 11 cases, face in 2 cases, forearm and pelvis in each 1 cases. The causes of defect were chronic osteomyelitis combined with soft tissue defect in 7 cases, hypertrophic scar contracture in 4 cases, tumor in 3 cases, and cavernous hemangioma in 1 case. We also have performed combination flaps of latissimus dorsi muscle in 2 cases and rib bone graft in 3 cases. All flaps were survived and no secondary morbidity of donor site was observed. The advantages of free serratus anterior muscle flap are 1) reliability with consistently long and large pedicle, 2) easy flap dissection, 3) combined transfer, 4) less donor site morbidity, and 5) less postoperative bulkiness. Accordingly, it was flap of choice for small no moderate sized soft tissue defects in various site reconstruction.
