그린 리모델링을 위한 트러스 단열 프레임 적용 석재 외장 외단열 시스템의 단열성능 현장 평가

This study aims to assess the insulation performance of stone-finished exterior insulation system with truss-shaped insulation frames. The evaluation involves measuring the thermal transmittance of concrete exterior walls in small non-residential buildings where this system is implemented. Through on-site evaluation and analysis using the heat flow meter method and the average method, the thermal transmittance of the exterior wall was determined to be 0.188 W/㎡K. Following remodeling, the measured U-value showed a 79.0% reduction compared to pre-remodeling, surpassing the calculated U-value at 65.6%. This indicates an enhanced improvement in the thermal bridging effect with the application of an exterior insulation system with truss-shaped insulation frames. Additionally, the difference between the calculated and measured U-values, a critical verification condition in International Organization for Standardization (2014), was less than 20%, affirming the reliability of the on-site measured thermal transmittance.

This study is to draw thermal property data during long-term aging, by testing the thermal conductivity of building insulation materials in Korea. The thermal resistance of extruded insulation within 3 days from manufacture performed well over the KS Standard. After 50 to 110 days, however, the thermal performance had deteriorated to the level of the KS standard. Eventually, after 4,000 days, the insulation performance had deteriorated to about 25.4~41.8% of the initial performance. Therefore, this research will be utilized as a reference for thermal properties during long-term aging, in order to improve standards and regulations related to building insulation materials.

The purpose of this study is to present an in-site evaluation method for building insulation performance using Infra-red camera. The research contents of this study are to evaluate validity and suitability of building insulation defect survey using Infra-red camera for apartment housing with temperature & heat flow pattern analyze method. By establishing the in-site evaluation method building insulation performance using infra-red camera, it is expected that 1) building envelope repair market will be activated by using developed method in ESCO and remodeling companies, 2) the method developed in this research will contribute to reduce national energy consumption by promoting old building insulation remodeling.

To reduce condensation risk and ensure occupant comfort, the Korean Design Standard for Preventing Condensation in Apartment Buildings was enacted in 2014. Because this design standard is made recent, few window products satisfy the condensation resistance requirement for glazing edges, especially in the coldest region. The aim of this study is to verify the performance of a window developed to reduce the risk of condensation through field tests in an actual apartment. Infrared thermal images were taken, indoor and outdoor temperature and indoor surface temperature were measured on-site, and the temperature difference ratio was analyzed. As a result, the developed window showed a significant reduction in the risk of condensation compared to the existing window.
열교 영향을 반영한 트러스 단열 프레임 적용 외단열 시스템의 에너지 성능 및 경제성 평가

This study aims is to compare the energy performance and economic feasibility of outer wall insulation systems using conventional rectangular pipe frames as the base case with double and single truss-shaped insulation frames intended to reduce the thermal bridging effect of alt 1 and alt 2. Annual heating and cooling energy use were estimated by performing a dynamic building energy simulation. The thermal bridging effect was modeled by applying the linear thermal transmittance obtained from the three-dimensional steady-state heat transfer simulation to the building energy simulation. The annual energy cost, construction cost, and life cycle cost for 30 years were estimated together. The results indicated that the annual energy use of alt 1 and alt 2 decreased by 12.5% and 13.9%, the annual energy cost decreased by 11.8% and 13.2%, the construction cost decreased by 1.4% and 6.8% and the life cycle cost of alt 1 and alt 2 decreased by 2.6% and 7.5% respectively.

Recognizing that the building sector is important to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, a variety of policies are being strengthened to reduce the energy consumption of buildings. For these policies to have a substantial effect, it is necessary to provide an energy information for building owners to easily understand. Especially, detailed energy consumption data by end-use (heating, cooling, domestic hot water, lighting, air moving, etc) can be a great help building owners and engineers to set out a specific action plan of improving energy efficiency. The aim of this study is to suggest a measurement method of energy consumption by end-use in apartment buildings for providing detailed energy information. Each energy consumption by end-use was classified and defined. Measurement and normalization methods were suggested to express the EUI (Energy Use Intensity) by end-use. It is considered that this measurement method is also able to be utilized in the area of HEMS (Home Energy Management System).

The Although recently revised building code requires 15~20% increased thermal insulation performance for window systems, since the code is focusing on winter heat loss, it is not satisfactory to contribute on reducing rapidly rising cooling load in summer. Window systems have great impact on building heat gain and loss. Therefore technological development for window system specialized in shading solar gain in summer is an urgent matter. This study evaluates the performance of sun shading and thermal insulation for blind integrated window system. Also, computer simulation evaluates the effect of hating and cooling energy consumption reduction for an individual unit(floor area of 85㎡) of a multi-family housing. PHYSIBEL, a heat transfer analysis software, was used to analyse the effect of energy consumption reduction, and the energy load was converted to the cost to compare the actual effect of economical benefit.
