        한국인 L2 학습자의 영어 재귀대명사 습득과 매개변항-재설정 전략 연구

        This paper aims to explore the process of Korean learners' acquisition of English reflexives and parameter-resetting strategy. This study was designed and conducted to examine how Korean middle school students acquire syntactic properties of English reflexives, and whether their acquisition process is constrained by Universal Grammar (UG). The experiment consists of 3 groups of Korean middle school students, from the 1st to the 3rd grade. A total of 120 students consisting of 40 students in each grade participated. The results of this study show that Korean students in the lower grade transfer their L1 parameter values to interpret English reflexives, while students in higher grades can reset the parameters of Korean reflexives to the English values. The findings of this study suggest that all Korean students are still constrained by UG even when there is L1 transfer and the subset principle is inaccessible.

        한방건강증진HUB보건소사업 실태분석

        This study was carried out to examine the actual condition of health promotion program through oriental medicine in the health center and to provide basic data to develop proper policy of oriental medical health promotion program for the community people. The data were collected from 26 health centers which have been implementing the oriental medical health promotion program, using selfadministered questionnaire for two weeks from 1 October to 15 October 2006. The results are as follows : Generally, the respondents have the positive views on the level of budget and facilities/equipments of the oriental medical health promotion program in health center. However, they have the negative views on the level of manpower and education/training of the program. And also more than 70% of the respondents have the negative opinion on capabilities of formulating and evaluating the oriental medical health promotion program. The respondents indicated that there was the lack of coordination between the oriental medical health promotion program and existing health promotion in health center, and that low rate of utilizing community resources. With regard to the method of selecting the target group for the program, there are differences according to the each program. Many programs tended to select the target group not through the criteria of life-course and illness group but through the efficiency of selecting group. And many programs such as stroke prevention program, constitutional medicine program, oriental medical prenatal program, oriental medical prenatal and postnatal program, oriental medical child care program are mainly composed of the development of educational program and lecture. Regarding the number of the present oriental medical health promotion programs, around 65% of respondents answered that the number of the programs was many and thus they needed to decrease to the proper level. And with regard to the priority of the need, effectiveness and the satisfaction for each programs, on the whole, Qui gong program, stroke prevention program, area-specialty program and oriental medical home visiting program have high score. In particular, oriental medical quit-smoking program has lowest score. From these results, it requires to develop and improve the oriental medical health promotion program in health center considering the need and characteristics of community.

        메타회귀분석을 활용한 도시공원의 비시장가치 추정

        The purpose of this study is to identify the key factors and estimate the non-market value of urban park using meta-regression analysis. Meta-analysis is a statistical method and useful tool to summarize the research results from independently related studies. This study used 46 estimates from 20 valuation studies on urban park and found that the type of park is the most influential factor on respondents' WTP. The parks in the neigborhood tend to have lower value whereas waterfront park appears to have highest value. The number of studies using most widely used non-market valuation methods, CVM and Conjoint Analysis, presented statistically significant results from their survey and payment vehicle for WTP. The empirical results from this study suggest that the meta-analysis is a great potential as a tool to synthesize the research results from valuation studies and provides useful information to policy makers. In order to overcome some of the shortcomings of meta-regression analysis and improve its validity and reliability, it is important to collect and produce data base on valuation studies and sufficient support to improve its quality. 본 연구의 목적은 국내에서 수행된 도시공원의 비시장가치 선행연구를 대상으로 메타회귀분석을 실시하여, 공원의 비시장가치에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명하고 정책적 시사점을 도출하며, 메타회귀분석의 적용 가능성을 검토하는데 있다. 메타회귀분석은 기존에 축적되어 있는 연구로부터의 정보를 추출하여 다양한 변수의 상관관계를 회귀분석으로 밝히는 기법이다. 문헌검색을 통해 도시공원의 비시장가치를 추정한 20편의 연구에서 46개의 가치 추정치가 실증분석에 사용되었다. 실증분석 결과 특정한 공원의 유형이 시민들의 지불의사에 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 근린공원의 경우 여타 공원에 비하여 낮은 가치를 나타내고 있었으며, 하천의 수변공원의 가치는 높게 나타났다. 대표적인 비시장가치 평가 기법인 조건부 가치측정법과 컨조인트 분석법은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이고 있었고, 설문조사 부수와 지불의사를 묻는 도구도 가치에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 사례분석을 통해 메타회귀분석은 선행연구 결과를 종합하고 관련 정책을 수립하는데 유용한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 분석의 틀로써 충분한 활용 가능성을 갖고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 다만, 메타회귀분석이 분명한 한계를 갖고 있는 만큼, 메타회귀분석의 정책에 대한 유효성과 신뢰성을 높이기 위하여 관련연구의 DB 구축, 개별연구의질 향상을 위한 노력 등이 뒷받침되어야 할 것이다.

        출현허사와 처소도치구문에서 장소구 PP의 통사적 위치

The current study aims to clarify that the movement of locative PPs in Presentational There Construction and Locative Inversion Construction is to satisfy Discourse-functional requirements as well as EPP. Following Pesetsky & Torrego(2001)'s proposal that EPP, which motivates movement, may be a property of other features, this paper introduces a new projection RefP with the notion of "Specificity". It is assumed that Ref head of RefP has <+specific> feature, and <+specific> Ref needs to agree with a <+specific> element in [Spec, RefP]. And therefore, Specificity has an impact on the dislocation of locative PPs in PTC & LIC. In this paper, it is argued that the movement phenomenon of locative PPs in PTC & LIC is triggered by Specificity and its sub-feature, EPP. (Chonbuk National University)

        The Acquisition of English Anaphors by Korean Secondary School Students

        This study aims to investigate Korean learners' acquisition pattern of English reflexives and pronouns. Sixty middle school students, aged from 14 to 16, participated in this experimental study. According to our study, Korean English learners understood the distribution and interpretation of reflexives and pronouns, Principle A and B and preferred a nearer and a more prominent NP in the same clause as its antecedent, even for a sentence that requires a distant NP, as in L1. We explained it with syntactic principles of “locality" and “prominence". Also, Korean learners of English as L2 show that Principle A and B emerge from a relatively early point in syntactic development, and that Principle B is not acquired later than Principle A, as English native speakers do. Consequently, as Korean students recognized syntactic principles, the comprehension of reflexives and pronouns depends on pragmatic considerations. In other words, the interpretation of reflexives and pronouns should be explained in terms of semantics or pragmatics.

        Study of Korean Students’ Pattern of Interpretation of English Anaphors

        This study aims to examine Korean learners’ pattern of the acquisition and development of English reflexives and pronouns as a second language. Also, the influence of lexical knowledge on the acquisition is studied. Sixty middle school students, aged from 14 to 16, participated in this experimental study. To investigate the influence of lexical knowledge, we informed the students of basic meaning of the verbs, structures of possessive construction and prepositional construction, and “pragmatic cues” in Wexler and Chien (1985). According to our study, Korean English learners often violated the principles governing reflexives and pronouns, namely, they mistreated pronouns as reflexives in pronoun-antecedent relations, as in L1 learners. However, they showed much improvement in the interpretation of reflexives and pronouns after attainment of lexical information. We explained the misinterpretation and the improvement as the influence of the processing preference and pragmatic considerations. Consequently, the findings of this study strongly support that the Lexical Learning Hypothesis of Wexler and Manzini(1984) can be applied in second language acquisition process.

        제7차 교육 과정의 '법과 사회' 과목 성격 규정, 목표 설정, 내용 구성 방침 비판

        제7차 교육 과정에서, 고등학교 '법과 사회' 과목을 통한 법 교육은 법 전문가 양성 과정의 예비 단계 정도로 취급되고 있다. 그러나 고등학교 수준에서의 법 교육은 시민적 교양 교육의 일부로 다루는 것이 더 바람직하다. 거기서는 이른바 법적 사고력이 특히 강조되고 있는데, 그보다는 오히려 시민적 비판 정신이 강조되어야 마땅하다. 지금의 구획적, 단편적, 규범학적, 폐쇄적 내용 구성도 더 통합적이고, 연관적이고, 연쇄적이며 개방적인 것으로 바뀌어야 한다. In the Seventh National Curriculum of South Korea(1997~), the law-related education(LRE) in high schools is treated like a part of preparatory course of the discipline for legal professions, under the subject title of 'Law and Society'. But it is more desirable for the LRE in that level to be treated as a part of the general education for proper citizenship. Whereas some emphasis is laid on the promotion of so called legal mind, it should be shifted onto the building-up of civic critical mentality. Furthermore, the present divisional, fragmentary, dogmatic and closed organization of the subject contents should necessarily be changed into an integrative, consecutive, successive and open one.

        국제 비교를 통해서 본우리나라 초․중등학교 사회과 교육과정의 문제점

        The goal of this paper is a partial contribution to scrutinising the appropriateness of South Korean National Curriculum for Elementary and Secondary School Social Studies Courses through international comparison. Thirteen polities over the world are selected for the comparison, including Japan, Taiwan, China, India, American states of California and Massachusetts, Canadian province of Ontario, Australia, British country of England, France, German Land of North Rhine-Westphalia, Sweden, and Russia. The mainly compared items are school grades, school levels, educational stages; the spatio-temporal scope, the weight, the focus and composition method of the subject contents; and the setting situation of neighboring or related subjects such as morality or ethics. The main results of the study are as follows: First, the South Korean social studies curriculum for secondary schools focuses extraordinarily on the history of Korea itself and so seems somewhat egocentric, compared to all the other selected countries. Second, as a side effect of the first point, the curriculum for lower secondary school integrates the areas of geography and general social studies(civics or citizenship, sociology, economics, law, and etc.) into a subject of ‘Social Studies’ and the curriculum for upper secondary school integrates geography, general social studies and ethics additionally into a subject of ‘Integrated Social Studies’, differently to any of the other countries. Third, the South Korean curriculum sets subject of ‘Morals’ or ‘Ethics’ alongside social studies throughout the elementary and secondary schools, which is relatively rare case found also merely in Japan, China, and France. And finally, the conclusion can hardly be other than that the South Korean social studies curriculum is internationally as unusual as in these three respects pointed above and seems as less feasible as its anomaly. 이 연구의 궁극 목적은 우리나라 현행 초․중등학교 사회과 교육과정의 타당성(시․공 적합성과 효과적 적용가능성) 검증이며, 이 글에서 한정적으로 취한 방법은 사회과에 상당하는 외국 교육과정과의 간주관적 비교를 통한 간접 검증이다. 비교 대상으로 선정한 국가(연방 구성 정치체)는 동북아시아 국가들 및 세계의 주요 강대국들로서, 총 12개국 13개 정치체이다. 주요한 비교 항목은 교육과정 운영의 틀이 되는 취학연한과 학교급 및 교육단계 구분, 교육내용으로 규정하는 대상의 시공간적 범위와 비중․초점 및 구성 방식, 도덕 등 인접․관련 교과목 설치 상황 등이다. 비교 고찰의 주요한 결론은 우리나라 초․중등학교 사회과 교육과정이 첫째, 중학교와 고등학교 단계에서 자국사를 지나치게 중심에 놓아 중시하고, 둘째, 그로부터 파생적으로 중학교 단계에서 지리․일반사회 영역을 통합해서 ‘사회’ 과목을 구성함과 아울러 고등학교 단계에서는 지리․일반사회․윤리 영역을 통합해서 ‘통합사회’ 과목을 구성하며, 셋째, 초․중등학교 전 과정에 걸쳐 일관되게 ‘도덕’ 교과목을 설치하는 등의 국제적 예외성을 띠어서 그런 면에서는 적어도 ‘비교론’적으로는 타당성이 별로 없어 보인다는 것이다.
