        Swiss Ball Exercise가 발달장애 아동의 균형 및 보행능력 변화분석

        This research was mainly conducted to develop the education program for children suffering from development disturbance. Further, it is expected that the results obtained from such programs and experiments would help the handicapped to increase their "walking abilities" and body balances by participating in the exercises suggested by the researchers. The experimental subjects involved in this research were 5 students, aged from 9~10, who attend a special school in a city in Jeollabuk-do. Among them, 2 students were suffering mental retardation, and the other two students were suffereing development retardation. There also was an autistic child in this experiment. Conclusions were reached after we set RPE of Swiss Ball exercise to 11~13, exercise frequency to 3 times a week for 12 weeks, and exercise period to be around forty minutes. It is also important to mention that new steps were included for the different difficulty level of exercises. The results showed that the children showed positive improvements over the following areas: Berg Balance Scale(p<.01), standing on a foot with eyes open, in situ spinning, and putting one`s foot on a foot board with his or her foot keep switching(p<.05). Also the handicapped one`s ability to talk showed positive improvements over areas such as the amount of time spent on walking (p<.01), number of footsteps made on walking, and many others.

        요가운동에 따른 주의력결핍 과잉행동장애(ADHD) 청소년의 신체적 자기개념에 대한 변화분석

        The objective of this study is to figure out the effect of yoga exercise program on the physical self-description of ADHD adolescents, and the subjects are 36 middle school male students who attends middle schools in Jeonlabuk-do, and 18 subjects are categorized as experimental group, and remaining 18 subjects are categorized as control group, and the experimental group participated in 12-week yoga exercise, and the result is as follows. First, pretest of all factors on physical self-description on the control and experimental group showed no statistically meaningful difference, but in post test, all factors showed statistically significant difference(p < .001). Second, experimental group showed positive improvement in pretest of every factor of appearance, health, flexibility, body fat, sports confidence, muscle power, and muscle endurance than control group, so there was statistically meaningful difference(p < .001), and control group showed negative aspect of regular exercise after 12 weeks, so there was statistically meaningful difference(p < .01). These results indicate that yoga exercise is effective program for all sub-factitive physical self-description changes of the Attention- Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Youths physical self-description.
