In the previous paper, I discussed the technique of Electrically Driving the Sunroof Sunshade while Reducing the Motor Quantity. It reduces the weight of the sunroof, reduces manufacturing costs, improves profitability, but the structure of Mechanism is complicated and it is difficult to ensure quality. Curved Roller Blind 개발을 통한 Headroom 공간 최적 설계

Normally, the Panorama Roof is mounted on the ceiling of the vehicle. From the driving point of the vehicle, it’s divided into the Roof Glass that gives passengers a feeling of refreshment through the exchange of inside / outside air and the sense of openness that is exposed to the surrounding environment from the closed interior space of the vehicle and the Roller Blind that blocks light transmitted from the outside of the vehicle and maintains the internal temperature. The Roof Glass has a composite curvature in the full width direction on the outside of the vehicle, while the Roller Blind of interior has the full width direction linear structure. As a result, the interior of vehicle equipped with the Panorama Roof giving the passenger the sense of openness, while has a disadvantage that the interior space is narrowed by the existence of the dead area between the Roof Glass and the Roller Blind when the Roller Blind is closed. This paper describes the development of Curved Roller Blind with similar to curvature of Roof Glass in full length and full width direction for minimizing the dead area between the Roof Glass and the Roller Blind, which will contribute to the optimal design of the headroom space and will give the passengers a greater sense of openness.

The global automobile industry is changing rapidly, and the development of next generation automobiles such as eco-friendly automobiles for reducing fuel consumption and intelligent automobiles are continuously developing. In addition, the emerging automotive markets of China and India has grown together even more and at the same time, sunroof market. As the production of automobiles increases, the sunroof market is greatly affected and various sunroof technologies are being developed and applied. The sunroof is an emotional roof that provides a sense of openness to the driver and circulates air inside the vehicle. Also, the sunroof is called Built-in, Tilt &Slide (Spoiler), and Top Mount, Panoramic etc. depending on the size and number of glass, mounting method and driving method. In the page, we consider the sunroof market from 2011 to 2015 for the past five years based on sunroof type, segment, and region. We also forest trends and forecasts of the sunroof market according to changes in the automobile industry.

The automotive sunroof system has many benefit that are able to control ventilation and brightness. Kinds of auto motive sunroof system are Panorama sunroof, normal sunroof type. Recently, strength in sunroof system with the growth of the global automotive industry are one of the most important issues. Many studies have been carried out to improve sunroof system’s strength. In the paper, the structural analysis on close, open condition of normal sunroof type is carried out. The close and open condition of automotive sunroof Assy are verified by comparing structural analysis results with experimental data obtained by strength tester. All kinds of influence factors affecting the sunroof system stiffness is confirmed by simulation and test. A FEM model of sunroof system is established for analyzing the strength of sunroof system by using Abaqus program. In the paper, method of structural analysis and strength test are proposed for evaluation of sunroof system’s close and open condition.

Today, the global automobile industry is changing rapidly, especially the development of next generation vehicles such as eco-friendly cars and smart cars. In addition, the importance of automobile interiors to satisfy the needs of consumer such as individual taste and sensitivity is more emphasized than physical factors such as price and fuel efficiency improvement. Recently, a variety of technologies have been developed to enhance the sensibility of consumers by using LED lighting to create a more luxurious and comfortable atmosphere inside the car. This has recently been developed and applied to the sunroof. If the existing sunroof is an emotional item and glass is applied to the roof of the vehicle to provide a feeling of openness and a comfortable space, the LED lighting sunroof provides an even more emotional interior atmosphere. In this paper, the LED light guide is applied to bottom surface of the glass of the panoramic sunroof to maximize the interior atmosphere of the vehicle and it is designed to be applied to the sunroof.

Recently, quality decrease in parts with the growth of the global automotive industry are one of the most important issues. In particular, the sunroof system that is closely related to the quality and sensitivity of the consumer is composed of more than 200 parts. It is also produced through a number of processes. In addition the quality problem will be more important because it operates in a variety of conditions. Previously, if a frame and tube are assembled into individual structures on the sunroof system, Current development structure is the way two parts is made integrally. The integrated frame sunroof system can minimize the number of parts and reduce the quality problem by reducing the assembly process. In addition, it is possible to reduce the manufacturing time and production cost due to the process improvements. In this paper, the integrated frame is designed optimal structure.
