        간호사의 임상경력개발시스템에 관한 조명

        The purpose of this study is to understand career development system for clinical advancement of nurses, so there are aimed at recognizing the importance of career development program and assisting its planning as a strategy for human resources development. In this perspectives, this study attempted to review the nature and cases of career development system and to present the appropriate introduction strategies of career development system using the clinical ladder in clinical nursing field. The career development system is a desirable one for the unification of the organization's desire that needs man-power to confront the rapid changes of health care environments effectively and personal desires for the self-development and achievements. The clinical ladder can be defined as a means of career recognition and reward for nurses who chose to remain at beside. The clinical ladder is useful to promote and support excellence in clinical nursing practice and to improve nurses' job satisfaction. Clinical Nurses can advance through a series of levels based on nursing competencies within career development system using the clinical ladder, so called clinical ladder system. In order to establish this program, nursing administrators may evelop a climate for learning of nursing competency while promoting professional growth and satisfaction. Based on this viewpoint, in Korean hospital career development system must be introduced and implemented to develop, evaluate, and promote clinical nurses providing direct patient care throughout their nursing career.

      • 방사선 치료를 받는 암환자의 가족지지와 성격이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

        This descriptive-correlational study was undertaken in order to investigate the relationship of family support and personality with quality of life in patients receiving radiotherapy for cancer and to provide basic data to help them improve a better quality of life. The subjects of this study were 110 out-patients experiencing a radiotherapy at C University Hospital in K-city, from April to October, 1992. The data were obtained using a convenience sampling technique. The tools used for this study were Ro's Quality of Life scale, Kang's Family Support scale and Wallston & others Health Locus of Control scale. The collected data were analyzed by the SAS program using ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients and stepwise multiple regression. The results were as follows : 1. The average total score of the quality of life of the subjects was 139.65(minimum score 121-maximum score 164), item mean score(range 1-5) was 2.97. The average total score of the family support of the subjects was 38.44(minimum score 16-maximum score 47), item mean score(range 1-5) was 3.49. The average total score of the Health Locus of Control of the subjects was 38.34(minimum score 24-maximum score 49), item mean score(range 1-6) was 3.49. 2. Among characters related to the disease, variables linked with the quality of life were as follows ; Experience of hospitalization (F=5.09, p=.0260), experience of surgery (F=5.51, p=.0207), diagnosis name(F=3.87, p=.0009), experience of chemotherapy(F=12.74, p=.0005), number of experienced symptoms(F=3.26, p=.0243). 3. There was a significant positive correlation between the family support and the quality of life(r=.3687, p=.0001). There was no relationship between the health locus of control and the quality of life. 4. By using stepwise multiple regression analysis, it was determined that the main influencing factors on the quality of life were age (16 %), family support (12 %), monthly income (? %), and gender(5 %). These four main variables explained 40 % of the variance in quality of life.

        인사고과에 관한 국내 간호연구 동향분석

        The authors reviewed researches related to performance appraisal(32 researches), in order to identify the direction for future research and to establish a credible performance appraisal system. Method: Almost all of the theses and research published in 9 major journals of nursing in korea were reviewed. Results: Most of research(84.4%) were theses and all researches were used to non-experimental design; survey 81.3%, methodological research 15.6%, review 3.1%. The major subjects of study were appraisees and appraisers. Psychosocial data collection which only used questionnaire were 81.3% and carried out interview(12.5%) and delphi-method(3.1%). Data analysis methods were used frequency 78.1%, t-test 62.5%, mean/SD 59.4%, Pearson's correlation 50%, and Cronbach α 50%. Appraisal tool used or developed in studies was graphic rating scales in nine studies and ran parallel with forced distribution in 2. Also, MBO and BSC were developed. Total number of korean terms in performance measurement were 11, and english terms 15. The tendency of the terms was toward performance appraisal or evaluation. Conclusion: In the light of results, we expect development of corporate appraisal tool that can evaluate nurse competence and performance. Total performance management system also should be established.

        병원의 조직문화유형과 조직유효성간의 관계에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between the pattern of organizational culture and organizational effectiveness in hospital. The research aims to provide the basic data necessary for the management of organizational culture or organizational development to enhance the organizational effectiveness This research design was a descriptive correlational study. 514 subjects were consisted of nurses, pharmacologists, technicians, and general staff who were working in a university hospital at K city. The data were collected from September 20 to October 20, 1996 by using self-reported questionnaire. 4 instruments used in this study were Likert-type scales, which were organizational culture pattern scale by Kimberly & Quinn(1984), organizational commitment scale by Mowday et al(1979), job satisfaction scale by Shin(1979), and organizational adjustment scale by Shin(1987). The data were analyzed using t-test, AN OVA, Pearson/s correlation coefficient & stepwise multiple regression. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1. When four patterns of organizational culture were compared, the highest culture pattern was hierarchical culture(mean = 3.59) and the lowest was developmental one(mean=2.91) on a five point scale. Among organizational effectiveness variables, organizational commitment mean score was 3.26, job satisfaction, 3.21, organizational adjustment, 3.36. 2. In relation to divisional group, there was significant difference in hierarchical culture(F=1O.65, p<.OOl), rational culture(F=5.85, p<.ool), & group culture(F=5.16, p<.Oll. 3. In relation to hierarchical status, there was significant difference in developmental culture(F=49.11, p<.OOl), rational culture(F=14.03, p<.OOl), & group culture (F=18.39, p<.OOl). 4. There was significantly a positive correlation between developmental culture and organizational commitment(r=.611, p<.OOO), between developmental culture and job satisfaction(r=.548, p<.OOO), and between developmental culture and organizational adjustment(r=.473, p<.OOO). 5. There was significantly a positive correlation between group culture and organizational commitment(r=.487, p<.OOO), between group culture and job satisfaction( r=.564, p<.OOO), and between group culture and organizational adjustment (r=.411 , p<.OOO). 6. Stepwise multiple regression analysis showed that developmental & group culture accounted for 38.3% of organizational commitment variance, group & developmental culture accounted for 38.3% of job satisfaction variance, and developmental, hierarchical & group culture accounted for 27.5% of organizational adjustment variance.

        간호학과 졸업예정자의 비판적 사고성향과 자기주도적 학습능력의 관계에서 정보활용능력의 매개효과

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the mediating effect of information literacy in the relationship between critical thinking disposition and self-directed learning ability among senior nursing students. Data were collected from convenient sample of 311 students at 8 nursing colleges in G city and J province through self-evaluation questionnaires. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Self-directed learning ability was positively correlated with critical thinking disposition and information literacy. Information literacy showed mediating effects between the senior nursing student’s critical thinking disposition and self-directed learning ability. For the effective improvement of student’s self-directed learning ability, educational program including information literacy-increasing strategies should be established. 본 연구는 간호학과 졸업예정자를 대상으로 비판적 사고성향과 자기주도적 학습능력의 관계에 있어서 정보활용능력이 인과경로 사이에 놓여 두 변수의 관계에 어떻게 영향을 주는지 그 매개효과를 규명하는 서술적 조사연구이다. G광역시와 J도에 소재한 8개 간호학과 졸업예정자 311명을 대상으로 질문지를 이용하여 비판적 사고성향, 정보활용능력, 자기주도적 학습능력에 대해 자료를 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 SPSS WIN 21.0 program을 이용하여 기술통계, Pearson 상관계수, 3단계 회귀분석으로 분석하였다. 본 연구변수들 간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 모든 변수들 간에 서로 유의한 순 상관관계를 보였다(p<.001). 자기주도적 학습능력은 정보활용능력(r=.637), 비판적 사고성향(r=.614)과 각각 순 상관관계를 보였으며, 정보활용능력과 비판적 사고성향(r=.555)도 순 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 비판적 사고성향과 자기주도적 학습능력과의 관계에서 정보활용능력은 통계적으로 유의미한 부분매개 역할을 하는 것으로 검증되었다. 본 연구의 실증분석 결과를 근거로 할 때, 간호대학이 비판적 사고성향을 향상시킬 수 있는 전략을 수립하고, 정보활용능력을 개발할 수 있는 체계적 교과과정을 구축한다면 궁극적으로 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력에 긍정적 영향을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

        간호사가 지각한 병원조직의 사회적 자본이 조직성과에 미치는 영향 : 지적자본에 의한 효과를 중심으로

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of intellectual capital in the relationship between social capital and organizational performance in hospital organizations. Methods: A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 390 nurses from 3 general hospitals in Gwangju and Chonnam province. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey done from May 1 to 15, 2009. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and hierarchial multiple regression using the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. Results: There was a significantly positive relationship between social capital, intellectual capital and organizational performance. Intellectual capital showed partial mediating effects between social capital and organizational performance. However, intellectual capital did not show moderating effects. Conclusion: Accumulated social capital increased intellectual capital and the increased intellectual capital increased organizational performance. This finding suggests that as a contribution to the improvement of organizational performance in hospitals, creation and accumulation of social capital and intellectual capital are very critical.

        액션러닝 기반 간호관리학 강의 및 실습 운영의 효과

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify effects of action learning approaches on learning outcomes of students taking nursing management courses. Methods: The questionnaire surveys were completed between March 2011 and June 2012 by 109 undergraduate seniors in the nursing department of C University. Survey data were obtained 3 times: before, in and after the study of nursing management. The course consisted of lectures and clinical practices. Learning outcomes were measured through problem solving skills, team efficacy, and class satisfaction. Collected data were analyzed using repeated measures ANOVA with the SPSS 20.0 program Results: Scores for problem solving skills (F=13.67, p<.001) and team efficacy (F=4.49, p=.012) showed statistically significant increases after the course. The scores also increased significantly after the lectures for 5 of 9 problem solving skill subscales: analysis skill, divergent thinking, decision making, assessment, feedback, and after the clinical practices for 2 subscales: divergent thinking, and execution and risk taking. Class satisfaction score also increased after both the lectures and the clinical practices. Conclusion: The findings from this study suggest that an action learning approaches for nursing management courses would be a useful teaching and learning method to achieve learning outcomes.

        Guidelines for Using a Patient Experience-based Nursing Service Design in Online Project-based Learning

        Objectives: This study aimed to develop, facilitate, and provide guidelines for a service design process using new online teaching and learning techniques to promote project-based learning. Methods: A patient experience-based nursing service design (PEN-SD) course comprised of four two-week sessions was conducted with 72 fourth-grade nursing students. Results: Guidelines and guide questions were provided during the orientation, team building, and the discover, define, develop, and deliver(4D) stages to ensure project success. As a result of this study, ten project themes were identifieded. Thise experience enhanced the development of students’ collaborative, empathetic, and creative problem-solving capabilities. Conclusions: The suggested guidelines can help instructors lead the PEN-SD process effectively, which can be a powerful tool for online team project learning in health profession education.

        2007-2018년 보건의료산업학회지에 게재된 간호연구 동향 분석

        Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the papers on nursing in the KJHSM (Korean Journal of Health Service Management) (2007-2018), to identify the research trends and to help the future development of nursing research. Methods: The data collection was carried out from September 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019. The 78 copies of the original text were provided by the KSHSM website, DBpia, and NDSL (National Digital Science Library) electronic database. Results: Forty-seven studies had a non-experimental design, with most having a descriptive research design (89.3%). The most common participants were nurses (55.7%) and nursing college students (26.1%). A questionnaire was the most commonly used research tools (96.2%) and data collection methods (95.0%). The major keywords were the terms included in the environmental domain among the meta-paradigms of nursing (43.6%). Conclusions: In order to expand the quantity and quality of nursing science in the KSHSM, efforts are needed to improve the quality of research participants, research tools, and sampling methods.

        리엔지니어링과 간호의 통합적 관리 전략

        Health care environment is in a state of rapid change. Restructuring to meet patient care needs is the greatest challenge facing nursing and hospital today. Some hospitals and hospital systems are reconfiguring their delivery systems to provide better patient care. Reengineering is the fundamental rethinking and radical redesign of business processes to achieve dramatic improvement in critical, contemporary measures of performance, such as cost, quality, service, and speed. A learning organization is striving for excellence through continual organizational renewal. In short, learning organization is continually getting smarter. The purpose of this paper is to suggest a new innovative direction of nursing management in order to provide patient-centered care with high quality. To achieve this purpose, first, organizational change methodology and the core concept of reengineering and learning organization were reviewed. Second, we explained the new delivery process of patient-centered care by studying cases of hospital innovation in United States. At last, by proposing integrated nursing management model the strategy of more flexible management was specified.
