Engineered nanoparticles are materials purposefully produced with at least one dimension between 1 and 100 nanometers. Nanotechnology has the potential to dramatically improve the effectiveness of a number of existing consumer and industrial products and could have a substantial impact on the development of new products in all sectors. However, nanoparticles is little known about what effect these properties may have on human health. This materials provide an overview of what is known about the potential hazards of engineered nanoparticles and measures that can be taken to minimize workplace exposures.
회전익항공기에 장착되는 종속 관성항법장치의 초기정렬기법

In this paper, we propose an initial alignment method of SINS(slave inertial navigation system) suitable for a rotorcraft using an adaptive notch filter. In the proposed method, adaptive notch filter is applied to eliminate the alignment error caused by the rotor vibration of the aircraft, We verify the performance improvement of the proposed alignment scheme comparing with the conventional transfer alignment method by rotorcraft test. The test result shows that the proposed alignment technique has improved alignment performance.

Even if several chemical accident prevention systems such as PSM(Process Safety Management), RMP(Risk Management Plan), etc. have been carried out, many chemical accidents have still occurred at industrial plants in Korea. We describe the status of chemical industry and the trend of occurrence of chemical accidents in Korea. And this paper analyzes the recent chemical accidents in eight ways. These ways include chemical accident forms, ignition sources, sources of chemical equipment, human vs equipment/material causes, worker`s working situation, employee scale, hazardous substances, week & time, fatalities of manufacture & contractor`s workers. Finally we proposes the four representative prevention measures brought to result of cause analysis by accident statistics.

An improved transfer alignment method for a strap-down inertial navigation system (SDINS) is presented here. The alignment accuracy in conventional method is vulnerable to the data latency of a Master INS (MINS) in high maneuverable platforms. We propose a time delay compensation equation considering higher-order terms in the attitude measurement equation of the Kalman filter. The equation incorporates additional information including angular rate, angular acceleration and linear acceleration from the MINS. Simulation results show that the transfer alignment accuracy is significantly improved in the high dynamic environment by incorporating the latency compensation technique.
회분식 반응기에서 반응폭주에 의한 2-Phase 흐름 파열판 설계 및 적용에 관한 연구

이 연구의 목적은 회분식 반응기에서 반응폭주에 의하여 2상(기상-액상)에서 적용가능한 파열판의 크기를 설계하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 반응폭주의 정의는 제어가 되지 않은 냉각수 투입불가 또는 운전조건의 이탈에 의한 비정상적으로 발열반응을 말한다. 이 결과로 반응기의 온도는 급격히 증가하게 된다. 반응폭주의 원인은 크게 자기과열반응과 지연반응으로 구분한다. 일반적인 안전밸브나 파열판의 내경 크기로는 폭주반응시에는 적절하게 압력을 해소할 수 없다. 폭주반응 시 반응온도 및 압력이 급격하게 증가하기 때문에 안전밸브로 분출되는 내용물은 2상이다. 이 연구에서는 최근 회분식 반응기의 폭주반응으로 인하여 사고사례의 원인을 분석하고, 2 상으로 분출현상 및 특징을 설정하고, 이에 적절한 파열판의 크기를 설계하여 적용하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to suggest the rupture disk design(size) and application at the two phase(gas-liquid) flow by runaway reaction at batch reactor. The definition of runaway reaction is abnormally exothermic reaction by the uncontrolled cooling water or deviated operating condition. As a result, the temperature of reactor is rapidly increasing. The causes of runaway reaction are either self-heating reaction or sleeper reaction. General methods of rupture disk size or safety valve are not suitable in the runaway reaction, because of temperature and pressure increasing rapidly in the reactor and the phases of relieving fluid is 2-phase flow. This study case of the reactor incident, the depressurization system such as safety valve and vent installed, however, the system did not relieved the pressure of reactor suitably. The orifice size of the safety valve were designed too small because the size had not been considered the phenomena and character of reaction. The batch reactor design should be considered by referring to the possibility of runaway reaction proposed in this study and the size of rupture disk design method considering 2-phase flow.
적응형 시간지연 보상을 통한 관성항법장치 급속초기정렬기법

In this paper, a SDINS(strapdown inertial navigation system) rapid initial alignment technique with adaptive time delay compensation is proposed. The proposed method consists of two steps. In first step, misalignment and data latency are estimated by conducting pre-transfer alignment. Then, hybrid alignment is designed to rapidly find the misalignment changes induced by pyro-shock. To improve the performance of hybrid alignment, adaptive time delay compensation method is suggested. We verify the performance improvement of the proposed alignment scheme comparing with the conventional transfer alignment method by van test. The test result shows that the proposed alignment technique improves alignment performance.
연속발사 충격에 강인한 SDINS 신속 초기정렬기법 설계

In this paper, a SDINS(Strapdown Inertial Navigation System) rapid initial alignment technique robust to the pyro-shock in multi-launch rocket system is proposed. The proposed method consists of three steps. Firth, transfer alignment is performed to estimate misalignment between MINS(Master INS) and SINS(Slave INS), and the estimated misalignment is written in the memory when transfer alignment is completed. Next, the pre-filtering process is performed to get rid of the acceleration error induced by launcher vibration. Finally, the horizontal alignment is performed to compensate misalignment variation caused by pyro-shock. We verified the performance of the proposed alignment method comparing with the conventional transfer alignment method. The simulation shows that the proposed initial alignment technique improves alignment performance.
중소규모 사업장의 공정안전관리제도의 정착제안에 관한 연구

The PSM(Process Safety Management) system has been enforced since 1996 in Korea. The system has made a great contribution towards decreasing major accidents at chemical plants etc.. However, the chemical incidents(included major accidents) still occur so many times in the small and medium sites(under 100 employees). This study surveyed to make up questions such as role and commitment of top management, participation of employee. In addition, the survey was included implementation difficulties of system such as risk assessment, management of change, hot work permit and e-PSM(provide the process safety materials by internet). Finally, this study suggests that the PSM system should be improved items and plans in the small and medium Sites.
