The purpose of this study was to analyse the recognition and preference level associated with the preservation of Korean traditional health food. Self-administered questionnaires were collected from 289 individuals. The data was statistically analysed using t-test as well as the one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). We studied whether or not respondents had the constitutional cuisine before Ed-comments : Please complete the sentence. Before what?. Twenty-two kinds of Korean traditional foods were randomly selected based on old cookbooks, and then recognition and preference of Korea traditional constitutional cuisine were asked. The tasting experience in the constitutional cuisine affected recognition and preference significantly. The coefficients of recognition and preference were the highest in Junbokjoog (4.20±1.00), Yookgejang (4.18± 1.03), Jangagui (4.05±1.17), Origui (3.97±1.19) and Samgeitang (3.94±.1.15). Ed-comment : Please check if this value is correct. There are two decimal points. Bosintang (1.81±1.60) showed a low preference compared to high recognition, and was therefore considered to be enthusiasts' cuisine only. It is believed that promoting the greater awareness of Korean traditional constitutional cuisine through the mass media would result in a higher recognition and preference of the same.
생장조절제에 의한 인삼 ( Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer ) 의 기내 (器內) 화아형성 (花芽形成) 조절

Ginseng zygotic embryos, seedlings, and excised cotyledonary nodes were cultured on Murashige and Skoog`s(MS) medium, supplemented with 6-benzyladenine(Ba) and gibberellic acid(GA_3) to induce flower buds. As the concentration of nitrogen compounds in MS medium was reduced to half of its strength, the flowering frequency of zygotic embryos increased up to 90%. The optimum concentration of sucrose in the medium for flowering of seedlings was 30-60 g/l. In all cases flower buds were formed on elongated axillary branches from the cotyledonary node, while the apices remained vegetative. When zygotic embryos and excised cotyledonary nodes were cultured on the medium, supplemented with all possible combinations of BA, GA_3, and abscisic acid(ABA) of 5 μM each, flowering was induced on the medium with either BA, BA+GA_3, or BA+GA_3+ABA. However, when seedlings were employed, flowering was induced on the medium with either BA, BA+GA_3, BA+ABA, or BA+GA_3+ABA. In addition, inclusion of 5 μM indole-3-acetic acid(IAA) in the above combinations did not affect flowering. These results suggest that cytokinins, gibberellins, and inhibitors play primary, permissive, and preventive roles, respectively, in the induction of flowering of ginseng.
한식당에서 인지된 한국문화가 한식당 및 한국문화 이미지와 한식당 만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

The aim of the study is to explore how foreigners recognize Korean culture through Korean food and how it influences the perception of Korean restaurants, culture and satisfaction. As a result of analyzing the data, three factors in the Korean culture of restaurants were obtained: style, flavor and affection. With multiple regression analysis, all three hypotheses were supported. Style was the most important contributor to the image of Korean restaurants and culture, followed by affection and flavor. The image of Korean culture has signifiant influence on satisfaction. Major recommendations of this study can be outlined as follows: First, among style, flavor and affection, style was a major determinant of the image of Korean culture; hence, in order to enhance the image of Korean restaurants and culture, style needs to be emphasized. Second, as the image of Korean culture has significant influence on satisfaction, the images of Korean culture should be well displayed and maintained to boost this satisfaction.
인삼 ( Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer ) 의 성숙한 배 (胚)로부터 체세포 배발생을 (胚發生) 통한 재분화 및 유식물체의 개화

Mature zygotic embryos dissected from ginseng(Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) seeds were cultured on Murashige and Skoog`s (MS) medium containing various concentrations of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D) and kinetin. Somatic embryos were induced directly from cotyledonary tissue or from intervening callus. The induction frequency of somatic embryos was up to 55%. Upon transfer to half-strength MS medium supplemented with 1 ㎎/l 6-benzyladenine(BA) and 1 ㎎/l GA_3, most somatic embryos dveloped into plantlets. Over 50% of the plantlets flowered after 4 weeks of culture and then a few bore immature fruits in vitro. Therefore, it is suggested that the juvenility of the ginseng tissue which give rise to somatic embryos does not interfere with in vitro flowering of their regenerated plantlets.

Since the 1990`s, golf has become even more popular and people have came to see it from a different viewpoint than in the past. Therefore, the time has come for country clubs to set up a service system to meet customers` expectations for golfers. If the employees in Golf & Country Clubs(CC)are dissatisfied with their jobs, customers will be dissatisfied as well. Therefore, this study analyzes job satisfaction and reasons for turnover. This study analyzes how the main two factors causing stress at work, role conflict and overloaded responsibilities, affect job satisfaction and subsequent turnover. Additionally, considering the tasks and the work environment of employees in country clubs, I tested job satisfaction by dividing it into the following categories: work satisfaction, compensation and promotion. Samples for the empirical analysis were selected among the employees working at the country clubs located in the outskirts of Seoul and Gangwondo. The Structural Equation Model(SEM) analysis and the statistical package program of SPSS. 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 are used. The study has importance for the following reasons: First, job satisfaction was examined as factors divided into work satisfaction, compensation satisfaction and promotion satisfaction. Second, tt was found that compensation satisfaction serves as a antecedent variable (predictor) of work satisfaction. Third, turnover intention was tested through path analysis. In the process of this path analysis, it was concluded that the stress from overloaded responsibilities is the most direct factor affecting turnover intention. I believe this research can be used as data for strategic planning to popularize golf and for operating competitive, high-end country clubs.

Since culture and art are the characteristics of today`s society, consumers value emotion above everything else. Besides, limitless competition caused by globalization makes corporations to change their marketing strategies. Hence, the objective of this study is to find out the relationship between cultural marketing in foodservice industry and image and trust of foodservice related corporations by using Multiple Regression Analysis. In order to find out the relation between cultural marketing and image and trust of corporations, the cultural marketing of foodservice industry was divided into 5 factors; cultural sales, culture supports, service culture, food culture and cultural background. The image of the foodservice related corporation was separated as micro image which refers to international image and macro image, the natural image of corporation. As a result, the study revealed cultural marketing effects on corporation image and corporation image effects on trust. The study will provide the new possibilities to foodservice industry through the new cultural marketing strategies.
