수화 중심 독서지도가 농인의 어휘 및 문법, 쓰기, 읽기 능력에 미치는 영향

This study is to find out effect of sign language-centered reading program to improve vocabulary, grammar, writing, and reading abilities of individual with deaf. this sign language-centered reading program in this study was design for individuals with deaf who limited to communicate with other people due to hearing impairment for elevating elevate degree of volunteer participation and interest induction. the conclusion of this study are as follows; First, sign language-centered reading program have an positive effects of elevating to vocabulary, grammar, writing, and reading abilities of individual with deaf, but some same errors remains in specific parts. Second, sign language-centered reading program have an positiveeffects to improvement of literacy of individual with deaf, as well thinking, comprehension, and self-confident and so on. The findings suggest that it should be consistently instructed from young in order to elevate vocabulary and learning ability, as well to be consistently developed programs
인공와우(CI) 이식 아동의 재활과정에 대한 질적 사례 연구

Research to the auditory physiology and the development of the modern medical engineering, a cochlear implant has been providing an auditory capacity for the severly, profoundly hearing impaired that can't hear even with hearing aids. The cochlear implant has changed the condition of an aural (re)habilitation a lot better because it helps people hear by stimulating an auditory nerve with an electrode inside the cochlear. In the process, the sound energy is turned into an electronic one. So now we are trying to find out whether the deaf children's lives have been changed in a better way socially and emotionally as well as lingually and auditorily after the treatment. For the purpose of this study, the researchers themselves participated in the clinical activity which is for the three children getting an aural (re)habilitation after the cochlear implant. The children with CI in this study videotaped, observed and made recordings of the children's reaction in the natural setting, carrying out their roles with the children's own therapists. Besides, participation's collected the data by having interviews with the children's parents. In the result, if pre-lingually infants get an operation at an early age, they turn out to be more competent in speaking and hearing than others. It is because the implanted cochlear help them hear, speak exactly and they have much time to get used to it. Still, whether the operations is successful or not depends on people. It is definite that a lot of patients and their family members have gone through big change in their life. In this study, we reported that nothing can be sure and positive unless the parents are willing to join this activity. That is because we decide on the every (re)habilitation process following their opinions. It is undeniable, however, for the deaf children to have difficulty in speaking and hearing even if they function more properly than before with the help of the cochlear implant. We should try to have a social and cultural system to give them a sense of self identity as a member of the deaf community.
청각장애교육 관련 국내 연구 현황 분석: 90년대 이후

The purpose of this study was to analyze research trends and to explore implications for future research in hearing disorders education in Korea. To do this, 173 research papers were selected from four journals related to hearing disorders. The 173 papers were analyzed in terms of method of research, subjects of research, and topics of research. The results of this study were as follows : First, the methodology of researches were varied as the review of survey study, research papers, experimental study and the others. Specially, experimental study is most of all. Secondary, the research subjects were mostly children. Third, the topics of researches were related to speech. Based on this results, we discussed and explore implications for future on hearing disorders education.
청각장애아교육 교사 수행능력(CEC 국제표준) 평가 분석

The study is to investigate level of competency needed to teachers for the hearing impaired. The instrument of the study is adapted CEC Knowledge and Skill base for all entry-level special education teachers of students who are deaf and hard of hearing, which are rated by teachers, professors, and supervisors for the hearing impaired in order to investigate ‘degree of importance’, in adding to requirement of CEC competency, as well as in order to contribute standard development of competency and curriculum for preparing teachers for the hearing impaired. The conclusions drawn from the study are as follows; First, in the rating of competency needed to teachers for the hearing impaired in our country, the teachers for the hearing impaired considered that ‘teaching-learning instruction competencies for academic achievement of students with hearing impairment’ was high, as well, ‘instructional strategies’ of total domains was high generally. Second, in adding to standard of CEC competency, the conclusions investigated competency needed in our country through interview, showed that competency on professional and ethical practice and competency on curriculum management for basic scholastic abilities achievement of students with hearing impairment, as well teachers abilities of sign language should be reinforced.
