      • Histogram 분할구조와 영상분포 위치 Mapping을 기반으로 하는 적외선 영상 대조비 개선

        A contrast enhancement technique for Infrared Images was proposed in this paper by using histogram bisection structure considering the bi-modal characteristics of infrared images and mapping of distribution location to find plateau values. The basic structure of the proposed technique is based on the LEE’s paper[1] and ‘Bi-Histogram Equalization with a Plateau Limit (BHEPL)[2]’ technique. As the results of several simulation tests with infrared images, the details of images were finely enhanced and the side-effects such as the exaggeration of background component and saturations of hot component were effectively minimized.

        영상신호에서의 복합 잡음 제거를 위한 수정된 적응 MMSE 필터링에 관한 연구

        In the case of an image corrupted with mixed noise, conventional MMSE filter can not remove such a mixed noise properly, because the impulse moise cause a certain bias of the minimum mean-square error estimate at regions close to outliers. In this paper, we proposed the new method or removal of mixed noise by combining MMSE filtering structure with local multi-windowing method according to directions and with ranked-order method. As a result, the improvement of the image quality with the proposed was obtained between about 9.7 and 35.2 times in the sense of NMSE(normalized mean square errors) evaluation than that of MMSE filter. Also, we could obtain the enhanced image in the mixed noisy image from visual and quantitative aspect. 영상이 복합잡음으로 오염된 경우, 기존의 MMSE 필터는 임펄스 잡음의 부근에서 최소평균오차의 추정 편이가 발생하여, 이러한 잡음을 적절히 제거하지 못하게 된다. 본 논문에서는, 이러한 잡음제거를 위하여 MMSE 필터의 구조에 방향성에 따른 다중 윈도윙과 차순 필터링 기법을 결합시켜 새로운 필터링 방법을 제안하였다. 결과적으로 정량적인 방법인 NMSE 측정으로 기존의 MMSE 필터보다 9.7-35.2배의 향상된 영상을 얻었고, 시각적인 면과 정량적인 관점에서도 향상된 영상을 얻을 수 있었다.

      • 적외선 영상의 단측형 충격잡음 제거를 위한 검출기반 적응윈도우 비선형 필터

        본 논문에서는 적외선 영상의 단측형 충격잡음 제거를 위해, 비선형 위치 추정기를 근간으로 하는 충격잡음 검출기를 설계하여 단측형 충격잡음을 검출하고, 검출된 정보를 기반으로 국부윈도우 크기를 적응적으로 가변시켜 중앙값 필터링을 수행하는 비선형 필터를 제안하였다. 가시광 영상에 대해 성능이 입증된 기존 12종 필터와 성능비교를 수행하였다. 정성적 측면에선 제안된 필터가 잡음오염이 과다한 $20\%$ 수준까지도 충분한 잡음제거 성능과 함께 영상의 세부정보를 잘 보존하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 정량적 측면에선 PSNR을 측정 비교하였는데, 영상 세부 정보 보존이 우수한 중앙값 필터($3{\times}3$) 보다 13-31[dB] 더 개선된 성능을 얻었으며, 잡음제거 특성이 우수한 중앙값 필터($5{\times}5$) 보다는 18 - 25[dB] 더 개선된 잡음제거 성능을 보였다.         적외선 영상의 Salt-Pepper 잡음제거를 위한 적응 비선형 필터

        In this paper, detection based - adaptive windowed nonlinear filter(DB-AWNF) is proposed for removing salt-pepper noise in infrared image. This filter is composed of impulse detector and window-size-variable median filters. Impulse detector checks whether current pixel is impulse or not using range function and nonlinear location estimator. If impulse is detected, current pixel is filtered according to four kinds of local masks by use of median filter. If not, current pixel is delivered to output like identity filter. In qualitative view, the proposed could have removed heavy corrupted noise up to 30 % and reserved the details of image. In quantitative view, PSNR was measured. The proposed could have about 12 - 31[㏈] more improved performance than those of median (3×3) filter and 13 - 29[㏈] more improved performance than those of median(5×5) filter.

        파라메트릭 어레이를 이용한 공기 중 디지털 통신 연구

        This paper demonstrates the digital communication in air using the parametric array. The stepped-plate transducer which is suitable for high-power and high-efficient radiation is used to generate the difference frequency wave with the parametric array. The primary frequencies are selected to 83 kHz and 122 kHz and the resulting difference frequency wave at the frequency of 39 kHz is used for the communication. The modulation method is selected to On-Off Keying method. The waveform and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is measured and analyzed to see the characteristics of the digital communication using the parametric array. The proper distance for the communication using parametric array is about 3 m. The measured beam width of the 3dB SNR reduction was $14^{\circ}$. The possibility of the communication in air using the parametric array is confirmed and the high directional characteristic of the communication using the parametric array is expected to have the advantages for the multi path and the security problems. 본 논문에서는 파라메트릭 어레이를 이용한 공기 중 디지털 통신의 특성을 측정해 보았다. 2차 오더의 비선형 현상인 파라메트릭 어레이를 구현하기 위하여, 고출력, 고효율의 음파 발생이 가능한 요철 트랜스듀서가 사용되었다. 1차 음파 (primary wave)의 주파수는 트랜스듀서 공진 주파수에 맞추어 83 kHz, 122 kHz 로 결정하였고, 이를 통해 발생되는 39 kHz의 차음 (difference frequency wave)을 통신 신호로 이용하였다. 통신 변조방법으로 On-Off Keying 방식을 이용하였다. 실험은 파라메트릭 어레이를 이용한 디지털 통신의 특성을 측정하기 위하여 파형 분석을 하였고, 거리, 각도에 따른 SNR을 측정해 보았다. 실험 결과 파라메트릭 어레이를 이용한 디지털 통신은 3m이내의 근거리 영역에서 적합함을 알 수 있었고, 빔폭 (-3 dB)은 $14^{\circ}$로 측정되어 고지향성 통신이 가능함을 확인하였다. 위의 실험 결과를 통해 파라메트릭 어레이를 이용한 공기 중 음향 통신에 대한 가능성을 확인하였고, 고지향성 통신 특성은 다중경로 문제나 보안 문제에 강점이 있을 것으로 판단된다.

        해외교육 치과의사의 국내유입에 따른 치과 의료의 질 보장 및 치과의사의 적정수급

        The purpose of this study is to analyze the data on the medical personnel education system and license scheme and provide the basic material for an enhanced qualification system. In China, dental education reform has been underway with a view to providing an inclusive basic medical service package to the whole country by 2020. It is also estimated that the number of Korean dental medicine students in China would be fewer. And most of them desire to get a job in China after acquiring the Chinese license, suggesting little prospect of a massive inflow into Korea in the near future. In Japan, students are required to complete a clinical training program for over 1 year after receiving licenses to become an independent practitioner. But they can apply for the Korean preliminary examination without this post-graduation process. For this reason, the quality issue in license effectiveness review has been seriously discussed. It is deemed desirable to limit the Korean accreditation to Japanese graduates from the dental schools certified by the Japanese dental accreditation body.

        한국 치의학 교육 평가인증제도의 현황과 발전방향

        The Korean Institute of Dental Education and Evaluation (KIDEE) was established in 2007 to provide the quality assurance in dental education. The KIDEE has been recognized by The Ministry of Education from Jan. 2015 for 5 years. KIDEE had accredited basic dental education programs of all 11 Korean dental schools. The dental accreditation system was introduced to encourage the improvement for dental schools, to ensure the quality of dental practice and most of all, to establish an internationally compatible system of evaluation and accreditation. The accreditation system in Korea is supported by voluntary service of many dental professionals and contribute to improve the quality of dental education program in all institutions. The accreditation by KIDEE let the students and the dentists be taught with assured education program and the all Koreans be cared by the qualified dentists. A quality education system thus provides a sufficient number of qualified dental health professionals to meet the workforce needs of the nation. Ultimately, this should result in quality oral health care for the public. Finally, by specifying the competencies of graduates, the standards will define the scope of dental practice. This may serve to define the profession of dentistry and differentiate it from other health professions, or to differentiate among the specialties in dentistry in the case of advanced dental education programs.
