In this study, the structural analysis was performed to optimize the membrane humidifier with hollow fiber membrane for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell system. The main design factors were considered by evaluating the humidifying performance according to various structural parameters such as packing density and length. The effects of operation conditions of membrane humidifier were also elucidated experimentally. Results imply that there are optimum points for the packing density and length of humidifier. It was also found that among operation conditions, relative humidity of wet exhaust gas and temperature of dry inlet gas have major effects on the humidifying performance.

This study suggests how to identify and understand and painters’ and one’s own unconscious conflicts when we appreciate works of arts. As artists born with special sensitivity to colors and objects, painters express their feelings and impressions through artistic techniques. Their paintings contain the unconscious conflicts of themselves driven from instinctual drives, infantile dependency and childwithin who might have been hurt. The conflicts are universal and common to human mind and, of course, often expressed in works of art. By appreciating a piece of art, we can meet with the conflict, which stimulates our own inner conflicts. It is the very moment when we feel the empathic response. The ego understands and integrates one’s inner conflicts when it follows its association with art work through free association. This process is similar to self analysis and dream interpretation. 환경 에너지용 멤브레인 개발 동향 및 상업화 전략

멤브레인은 고유의 선택적 투과기능에 의해 다양한 산업분야에 적용되고 있다. 특히, 환경 및 에너지용 멤브레인은 최근 학계의 기초 연구와 더불어 산업체의 활발한 상업화 연구가 진행 중이다. 환경 분야에서는 수처리용 멤브레인이 상용화되어 산업적으로 널리 사용되고 있으며, 이의 기능을 더욱 최적화하기 위한 연구 및 혁신 기능을 도입하기 위한 개발이 산업체를 중심으로 활발히 진행 중이다. 또한 연료전지 및 이차전지에 폭 넓게 멤브레인 기술이 적용되고 있으며, 특히 연료전지나 레독스흐름전지는 본격 상업화를 위해 다양한 전략으로 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 발표에서는 코오롱에서 개발하여 상업화한 수처리용 멤브레인의 최근 개발 동향 및 연료전지 및 레독스흐름전지용 멤브레인 개발 현황 및 전략을 소개하고자 한다.

흉통(胸痛)의 정신분석적(精神分析的) 고찰(考察) -두사람의 증례(症例)를 중심으로-

This study presents the cases of two patients suffering from chest pain as the chief complaint and refers to related literatures to reveal the psychoanalytic meaning of chest pain. In the first case, the patient who was balked of the desire to be loved complained of her pain in the chest She had been bereaved of her husband and felt deserted by someone on whom she depended, and these experiences caused the chest pain. The drive related to this chest pain in a dependent and aggressive one. The second case, the chest pain of a 28-year-old unmarried woman, resulted from Oedipal conflict Her Oedipal conflict did not resolve successfully for the exessive sexual stimulation in her childhood such as her experiences of witnessing the primal scenes sleeping with her parents in the same room, even under a same blanket In addition, there were some other traumas which prevented her from that conflict: Her father bathed her until her puberty: She saw her father's back view as he urinated in a jerry: She heard her parents' frequent quarrels. This patient felt guilty about desire of Oedipal incest, and chest pain seemed to occur as a kind of self-inflicted punishment.

정신치료의 효과 : 인격의 성숙에 의한 것일까? Does It Represent Itself in Emotional Growth?

저자는 정신치료와 자아성장의 관계를 정신분석의 입장에서 고찰하였다. 저자는 심리치료의 효과는 인격의 성숙 즉, 성장에서 온다고 생각한다. 이에 대한 증거를 제시하기 위하여 먼저 치료효과에 대한 프로이트의 개념을 고찰하고 프로이트 이후 정신분석학자들의 치료개념을 고찰하였다. 치료관계를 통한 성장이 정신치료 효과를 낳는다는 것이 이 논문의 주제이며 이런 치료과정의 대부분은 무의식에서 일어나므로 자신도 모르게 일어난다는 사실을 강조하였다. 성장과정 중 잘못되어 중단된 인격의 병적 부분이 정신치료를 통하여 성장한다. 그것은 통찰을 통한 자아의 성장(ego growth)일 수도 있고, 분석가와 치료적 관계를 맺으면서 이루어지는 성장일 수도 있다. 인간본성(human nature)의 상실이 정신질환이고 인간본성의 회복이 치료이다. 상실된 인간본성은 모성 환경과 유사한 치료적 환경이 주어질 때 회복된다. 정신치료도 뇌의 생리, 생화학적 변화를 동반할 것이다. 뇌의 해부학적 변화를 초래하기 위해서는 시간이 필요하다. 아마도 정신치료를 통하여 뇌의 해부학적 변화가 일어난다면 훈습의 긴 기간이 그 시간을 제공할 것이라고 추측한다. 정신치료의 효과를 설명할 수 있는 신경생리학이나 해부학적인 연구가 진행되고 있으며 정신치료의 모든 과정을 설명할 수 있게 되기를 기대한다. The author reviewed the relationship between psychotherapy and ego growth from psychoanalytic point of view. The effect of psychotherapy represents itself in ego growth. To illustrate this claim, the author reviewed Freud's concept on the effect of psychotherapy first and the concepts discussed in literatures after Freud. The main stance of this paper is that the effect of psychotherapy manifests itself in ego growth through therapeutic relationships. The author deduced that since the major part of the therapeutic process takes place unconsciously, one is unaware of his/her ego growth. Through psychotherapy, the immature part of the personality, which stoped growing in the course of development, starts to grow. It may be the ego growth either through gaining insight or the growth derived from the therapeutic relationship with the analyst. Mental illness can be looked upon as the loss of human nature, and the remedy lies in recovering the human nature. The lost human nature is recovered when one is in a therapeutic environment, that is very much maternal in nature. Psychotherapy may result in some changes in brain physiology or neurochemistry . It may take some time to bring about anatomical changes of the brain. If this assumption is correct that psychotherapy inflicts anatomical changes of the brain for it's positive effects. it should be accomplished through along period of working-through of the problem. Some studies on this theme of neurophysiology and anatomical research are already in process and I hope to be able to explain the processes of psychotherapy in the near future.

In melt spinning process of polypropylene hollow fiber, the effects of spinning conditions such as flow rate, die temperature, take-up speed on the diameter and hollowness of spun fibers were studied. For the spinneret of melt spinning, segmented arc type was used and the effect of air flow rate which dragged in hollow part of fibers was considered by taking account of extrudate swell from this type of spinneret. Experimental results show that when the flow rate, die temperature and take-up speed increase, the hollowness of spun fibers decreases. The development of hollow fiber characteristic along the spinline was investigated by the simulation of fiber forming process in which boundary conditions were determined experimentally. In this simulation hollowness of fiber along the spinline decreased and this trends were verified by experiment. In the simulation of spinning of hollow fibers, the freezing point distance is shorter than that of solid fibers and stress at freezing point is larger than that of solid fibers under the same spinning conditions.
