Recent decade, recycling has been one of the most important issues in industry as required to save the limited amount of natural resource and keep the environment green. However, in spite of many efforts to increase recycling rates in industry, the solution methods are limited in reality. The difficulties are induced from many parts made of diverse materials and their inevitably complicated assembly structures to satisfy many other needs.<br/> Consequently the research exhibit the method of analysis and framing about Function Structure, Joining Structure, Disassembly Structure by the way for improving easiness of decomposition that is the condition about a loss in quantity of treat of waste matter, reuse of used products and much more.

For the efficient disassembly, the recyclability of a developing product must be considered as early as in the design process. So, we proposed a Recycling BOM that supports the designer can access readily to the information related to a recycling systematically to design for recycling. To conduct DFR(Design For Recycling) effectively, we have developed a WEB-based PDM system partially and applied a Recycling BOM in the product structure module of the PDM system.

This paper presents a simple and novel structure representation supporting the assembly and disassembly planning of automotive parts. The proposed Relationship Matrix derived from a directed graph represents both the information of the component connectivity and the layout precedence of functional elements. The feasible assembly and disassembly sequences and the minimum service steps for the malfunction component can be easily derived with the corresponding inference rules. The structure representation and the inference kernel can be readily applied to future concurrent design review for assemblabilityb and recyclability.

This paper represents the integrated design system for recycling. This system consists of four subsystems, that is, a data base for the already analyzed commercial products, a data base for the design knowledge and principles. a data base for the now developing product, and a subsystem for the optimum disassembly path generation and the module generation.

Today recycling has been one of the most important issues in industry as it is required to save the limited amount of natural resources and to keep the environment green. In spite of many efforts to increase recycling rate in industry, however, the practical solutions are very limited. The difficulties are caused by the existence of many parts made of diverse materials and their inevitably complicated assembly structures to satisfy different needs. This paper represents a study on the disassembly sequence generator system for parts recycling. With disassembly costs and revenues, the optimum disassembly sequence can be found with a linear programming.

Most products arc composed of many parts in various kinds of materials. For the recycling, they should be easily disassembled and classified by material or kinds of parts after the life cycle of products. Because their shapes and material kinds are, however, specified mainly for the reduction of production cost, it increases the cost of recycling and the total cost in the point of the total product life cycle's view. Therefore the methods and procedures for disjointing the parts must be clearly defined and documented from the initial phase of engineering. In this paper, an engineering procedure for the recycling will be proposed by analyzing the assembled points and directions of the every part. By this methodology the time and cost for disassembling parts will be decreased and the ratio of reusing the parts will be increased and the amount of waste will be reduced.<br/>

In order to care about preserving the environment for future generations, each country has been required to make the laws of the environment. So car manufacturers must design, manufacture and sell cars and trucks that meet customer's need and must do this while meeting the needs of the environment. In this research we have developed product structure and configuration management system that treats electronic catalogs for recycling of automobile parts. This research focused on two system. One is XML-based electronic catalog that give the information about recycling of automobile parts. The other is product structure and configuration management system based on electronic catalog.

This paper represents a study on concept design by design hypothesis of integrated part and TRIZ. This hypothesis says that the components which are included in one product and accomplish the same function could be substituted by one component. The concept of the hypothesis design was proved to a physical contradictions structure in this paper. And physical contradictions is solved by separation principles. Physical contradictions was defined through design hypothesis of integrated part. And a concept design of outside rear view mirror motor actuator was derived by separation principles. And the concept design was made as big as life.

The purpose of this study is on the development of 3-D conductive pattern fabrication system using laser. For development 3-D direct patterning system, we used the dynamic focusing, the laser power stabilizer and the auto aligning techniques. These technologies are already used commercially. However operation and control integrated system for 3-D direct patterning are not yet developed. The objective of this paper is to introduce laser direct structuring and develop the operating and integration system. Also we implemented new application of laser direct structuring.
