가토 초자체내 Stemex 주입 후 망막의 형태학적 변화 관찰

스테로이드 제재인 Stemex을 인위적으로 가토 초자체내 주입하여 시간 경과에 따른 망막의 형태학적 변화를 관찰하고 임상적 응용의 효율성을 고려하여 보았다. Periocular injection of corticosteroids has been applied to subside the inflammation of the anterior segment of eyeball. It has been known that intraocular injection of pure corticosteroids decrease proliferative vitreoretinopathy, but various vehicles to carry the corticosteroids may induce proliferative vitreoretinopathy and rarely retinal detachment experimental study was carried out to investigate the response of rabbit retina following the intravitreal injection of Stemex. The results were as follows: 1.In the early stage following intravitreal injection of Stemex, edema of the outer plexiform layer of the retina was apparent. 2.As edema of the retinal nerve element was gradually increased, the inner nuclear layer, outer plexiform layer and inner outer nuclear layer cells showed severe edematous changes in 1 week after injection. In addition, vacuoles and phagosomes in the cytoplasm of the pigment epithelium, fragmentation of the photoreceptor outer segments were observed. 3.At the 2nd weeks following injection, edema of the inner and outer nuclear layer cells were reduced, mildly edematous changes of the outer plexiform layer remained. 4.It seemed that reducing of edema in midretinal layer cells 2 weeks following the injection probably caused by the aspiration of small amount of vitreous which enhanced dilution and absorption of the injected material rapidly.
