Geothermal heat exchanger(GHEX) is a major component of Geothermal heat pump system(GSHPs). In Common, We use the vertical type GHEX in Korea. But vertical type GHEX needs a high cost for installation, because of drilling the hole which has 200m depth at max. So, We suggest the use of horizontal type GHEX. When we construct buildins, We excavate the ground and we can install the horizontal type GHEX at the excavated underground. It's very cheap and convenient method compare to vertical type GHEX installation. This study is peformed to estimate the peformance of horizontal type GHEX and to analyze effects of heat exchanger types and undergroundwater. As the result, slinky type GHEX has a 66% efficiency compare to vertical type GHEX and mat type has a 201% efficiency at the undergroundwater zone.

Various technologies such as PV, Solar collector and Double envelope have been developed and applied to improve efficiency. Although either BIPV or double skin applied to the surface of the building, power and thermal load cannot both be increased. In the case of BIPV, because it is applied to the facade, incident solar energy decreases and efficiency drops off. The system in this paper complements these disadvantages and aims to decrease the heating & cooling load by transforming solar energy to electronic and thermal energy. The research in this paper is about the applicability of the clear PV attached double envelope system. And the PV electronic generation and the factors that affect the heating & cooling load such as the daily radiation, sun shading ratio, CFD, heating & cooling load and daylight luminance distributions in the building are simulated.

For the perfomance test of geothermal system, a large pilot of capacity of 50RT is built and operated in office building. This system is planed hybrid system with cooling tower as asisstance heat sink. From October, 2004 to September, 2005, this system is operated and monitored. As the result, COP of heating periods is about 3.46 and COP of cooling periods is about 4.1. Therefore, geothermal system is useful and suitable in Korea.
그린홈사업을 위한 신재생에너지 기술의 경제적 타당성 평가

Korean government decided to give a subsidy for renewable energy system of green home. This policy will make an appeal to consumers. But For success of this policy, Economic benefit of consumer is essential. In this study, benefit and cost is seperated to consumer part and government part, respectively. consumer's benefit is energy saving and asset value increment. Consumer's cost is real input money except government's subsidy. Government's benefit is consist of energy import reduction, carbon discharge reduction and new production increment, As a result, the government subsidy will not so enough to activate the green home. PV system for the korean general apartment has the payback period of 19 years. So, For the dissemination of renewable energy of green home, more strong subsidy policy and more economic technoloy development is requested.
