Six reinforced concrete shear wall, constructured with fully rigid, slit, and infilled types, were tested under both vertical and cyclic loadings. Experimental programs were carried out to evaluate the seismic performance of such test specimens, such as the hysteretic behavior, the maximum horizontal strength, crack propagation, and ductility, under load reversals. All the specimens were modeled in one-third scale size. Based on the test results, the following conclusions can be made. For the diagonal reinforced slit and infilled shear wall specimens, it was found that the failure mode shows very effective crack control and crushing due to slippage prevention of boundary region and reduction of diagonal tension rathar than the brittle shear and diagonal tension failure. The ductility of specimens designed by the diagonal reinforcement for the slit and infilled shear wall was increased 1.72~1.81 times in comparison with the fully rigid shear wall frame. Maximum horizontal load-carrying capacity of specimens designed by the diagonal reinforcement ratio the slit and infilled shear wall was increased respectively by l.14 times and l.49 times in comparison with the standard fully rigid shear wall frame.

In this stydy, experimental research was carried out the hysteretic behavior of reinforced concrete haunched beams such as application with or without haunched and slab, and shear reinforced ratio. Test results showed that test specimens(FTG-i-1 Series, FTH-i-1 Series) was increased respectively the maximum load carrying capacity by positive 11%, negative 25% and the energy dissipation capacity by positive 1.08~1.78, negative 1.12~1.74 times in comparison with the standard specimens(FTG-0-1, FTH-0-1). And the specimens(FTG-i-1 Series, FTH-i-1 Series) showed stable hysteresis behavior.

Reinforced concrete structures using early age concrete were result in the degradation of structural performance due to crack, overload, unexpected vibration and impact load. It demands urgently that reinforced concrete structure using early age concrete should be improved the serviceability and structural performance with the application of new fiber materials. Therefore specimens, designed by the test varibles, such as with or without stirrup and percent of steel fiber incorporated, were constructed and tested to evaluate and develop the structural performance of reinforced steel fiber concrete beam. Based on the test results reported in this study, the following conclusions are made. Specimens, designed by the over 0.75% of steel fiber incorporated, were showed the ductile behavior and failed slowly with flexure and flexure-shear. Comparing with the load-displacement relationship of specimen BSS, designed by the recommendations of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, reinforced steel fiber concrete beam using early age concrete, over 0.75% of steel fiber incorporated, gets enough load carrying capacity and ductility. Increasing the percent of steel fiber incorporated(0.25~2.0%), the ultimate shear stress of each specimen were increased 12~40% than that of control specimen SSS.

In this dissertation, experimental program was carried out to study the hysteretic behavior of the eccentric reinforced concrete beam-column joints subjected to cyclic loading. The test results was as follow. The eccentric reinforced concrete beam-column joint, designed by the eccentricity, was increased maximum displacement ductility according to the increase of eccentricity in comparison to standard specimen. And it was also dissimilar to failure mode adjacent to joint region. maximum displacement ductility of each specimen, designed by the eccentricity, was increased 2.05∼2.10 times in comparison to standard specimen.

In this study, experimental research was carried out to evaluate the structural performance of reinforced concrete beam using embedded carbon fiber bars and strengthening metal fittings in existing reinforced concrete building Test results showed that retrofitting specimens with embedded carbon fiber bars were increased the load-carrying capacity by 21~55%, retrofitting specimens with embedded carbon fiber bars and strengthening metal fittings were increased the load-carrying capacity by 21~48% in comparison with the standard specimen. Also, retrofitting specimens showed much higher ductility compared to retrofitting specimens with conventional method.
