In this paper, the real shape of macro and micro endmill deflection were observed by high-speed camera. This approach allows us to avoid modeling machining characteristics.(cutting forces, tool deflection and machining error etc.) For analyzing the endmill deflection, the real tool images were obtained by high-speed camera in endmilling processes using macro and mciro endmills. Finally, possibility of proposed method was verified by the analysis of captured images.

In this work, the micro channel which is for micro fuel cell was fabricated by micro endmilling and polishing processes. Since small or micro fuel cell is smaller and simpler than general fuel cells, micro manufacturing processes (micro cutting, molding and forming etc) is needed for fabrication of bipolar plate with the proper functional micro patterns. For the economic efficiency and productivity of fuel cell, the mass production process of bipolar plate has to be established. Therefore, for the fabrication technologies of micro mold core and micro cutting process for the micro fuel cell, the micro flow field pattern with 304 stainless steel was fabricated by micro endmilling, brushing and polishing processes.
