백화사설초 메탄올 추출물에 의한 HL-60 세포고사과정에 있어서의 transcriptional factors 활성변화 연구

Objective : Hedyotis diffusa has been used as an arnicancer agent for several decades in oriental medicine. We test whether the methanol extract of the herb affects transcriptional activation factors including NF-κB and AP-l. Methods : 1. HL-60 cells were treated with various concentrations(from 200 to 50ug/ml) of methanol extract and H_2O extract(200ug/ml)of hedyotis diffusa, After 48h later, the cells were tested for viability by MTT assay. 2. The HL-60 cells were treated with 200ug/ml of methanol extract for the indicated periods. First. Nuclear extracts were isolated and incubated with oligonucleotide probe of NF-κB and AP-l. Second. Nuclear extracts were isolated and reacted with p50, p65. c-rel par-Jun, c-Jun, JunB. JunD antibody on ice for 30min. Finally The cell lnates were prepared and analyzed by westem blotting using anti-Fas, anti-FasL and anti-p53 antibdy. Results : l. The methanol extract decreases the viability of human lymphoid origin leukemia HL-60 cells in a dose-depemdemt manner. 2. NF-κB is rapidly activated by the addition of the methanol extract, reaches a peak at 30min and gradually returns to resting level. We confirm tha NF-κB is a heterodimer mainly composed of p65 subunit with c-Rel. 3. Transcriptional activation of AP-1 is detected at 30min and reaches a maximum at lhr after stimulation of the cells with the methanol extract. AP-l is mainly composed with Jur-D and partially Jug-B proteins. 4. the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa induces the expression of Fas, Fas ligand and p53 proteins of HL-60 cells in a time dependent fashion. Conclusions : These results suggest that the methanol extract of Hedyotis diffusa exerts anticancer effects to induce the death of human leukomic HL-60 cells via activation of trascriptional factors such a NF-κB and AP-1, increase in expression of Fas mediated signaling proteins, and induction of tumor suppressor gene. p53
소각용융슬래그의 특성 및 수처리 여과재 활용에 관한 연구

본 연구의 목적은 폐기물에서 발생되는 소각재 용융슬래그의 여과재 활용가능성을 검증하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 소각재 용융슬래그의 여과재 기능을 수행할 수 있는지 안전성 검토를 수행하고, 일반적인 여과재로 사용 되는 주문진 표준사를 대조군으로 하여 실제 여과실험을 수행함으로서 그 여과능을 분석하였다. 연구결과에 따르 면 용융슬래그 여과재는 중금속 용출율이 지정폐기물 허용기준 내로 사용이 가능한 수준이며, 여과 실험 결과 SS와 COD의 경우 표준여과사와 유사한 수준의 여과능을 나타내었으며, T-N, T-P의 경우는 표준여과사 보다 소각용융슬래그가 T-N은 26.96%, T-P는 6.55% 더 높은 처리율을 보였다. 또한, 소각용융슬래그의 입경에 따 른 제거율 비교를 수행한 결과 No.40#(0.43mm)와 혼입경의 경우 표준여과사와 동등 또는 그 이상의 여과능을 보였다. 따라서, 용융슬래그를 여과사로 활용할 경우 주문진 표준사에 비하여 자원절약과 자원재활용의 효과를 가져 올 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Existing cities are getting expanding in quality and quantity as economy and population in the city are growing. However, new developed districts of city designed by national and local government lead old downtown area to be in disrepair and to feature various problems such as urban vacancy and slum area. As a result, many researchers and experts are studying about old downtown area to rehabilitate and restructure. Waterfront is one of the most attractive places to visit in the city and is used to rehabilitate the city. This study is intended to understand and analyze urban vacancy and slum through case study and research, and to explore the possibility to rehabilitate old downtown in Cheongju city by waterfront development.

The tea red spider mite has recently outbroken as the major pest of tea at tea plantation area in southern part of Korea. This study was carried out to investigate some development of the tea red spider mite. The results were summarized as follows: 1. The body length and width of adult female and male were 0.40mm and 0.22mm, and 0.31mm and 0.20mm, respectively. 2. Durations of immature stage of females were 24.8 days at 16℃, 17.0 days at 20℃, 11.0 days at 24℃, 8.2 days at 28℃, and 6.7 days at 32℃. 3. The average longevities of female of the tea red spider mite were 31.5 days at 16℃, 13.4 days at 20℃, 8.4 days at 24℃, 7.8 days at 28℃, and 5.8 days at 32℃.
노인복지시설의 트렌드 연구 - 미·일 노인요양시설의 ‘집의 느낌(the sense of home)’ 요소 비교 분석 -

This article aims to identify what factors influence the sense of home in nursing homes for older adults, and to compare the factors between the United States and Japan. Factors influencing 'the sense of home' can be classified into psychological, social, and physical factors, and physical factors related to architectural planning can be subdivided into five categories such as space articulation, enclosure, sensory qualities, material, form/measurements/proportions. Plans of personal spaces have been categorized into 2 types which were RT and RBLK. In addition, the composition of physical environment factors considering the balance of autonomy and security, locality, and social and cultural characteristics were proposed. 본 연구는 집처럼 편안하게 느낄 수 있는 요양시설의 환경 구축에 필요한 요소들을 파악하고 효과적으로 적용할 수 있는 건축 계획적 지침을 제시하기 위하여 일본과 미국의 4개 노인요양시설을 조사·분석하였다. ‘집의 느낌’에 영향을 주는 요소는 심리적, 사회적, 물리적 요소로 나눌 수 있으며 건축 계획과 직접적인 연계되는 물리적 요소는 공간적 분절, 공간구획, 감각적 자극, 재료, 형태/치수/비례 등 5개로 세분될 수 있다. 조사·분석된 요인들을 바탕으로 개인공간 구성에 따라 시설을 RT형과 RBLK형으로 유형화 하고 자율성과 안전의 균형, 지역성, 그리고 사회적 문화적 특성을 고려한 물리적 환경 요소 구성을 제안하였다.
