Low GWP 냉매를 적용한 증발기용 판형 열교환기 성능 해석 시뮬레이션

Evaporative heat transfer and pressure drop characteristics of a plate heat exchanger were studied for the low-GWP refrigerants of R-1234yf and R-1234ze(E). A counter current plate heat exchanger was simulated and the performance of low-GWP refrigerants was evaluated against R-134a. The effects of mass flow rate and evaporating temperature were also investigated. As a result, the heat transfer rates of R-1234yf and R-1234ze(E) were 15.2% and 6.0% lower than R-134a. In addition, the pressure drops of R-1234yf and R-1234ze(E) were 25.6% lower and 20.9% higher than R-134a, respectively.

Plate heat exchangers have been utilized to various industries. This study presented experimental results of the evaporation heat transfer of the plate heat exchanger with the operation parameters. The operation parameters used in this study were the inlet water temperature, heat flux, and mass flux of the plate heat exchanger. Lab-scale devices were used to make the specific conditions of experiments. The heat transfer rate increased with increasing the inlet temperature and heat flux.
