Purpose: The purpose of this study was investigate the empowerment, health behavior and life satisfaction in elderly home residents according to living situations. Method: Data were collected from September to October, 2005. The participants were 240 elderly people who lived at home. Date were collected using structured questionnaire and analysed using t-test, ANOVA, Sheffe test. Result: Empowerment in elderly home residents according to living situations was significantly different(F=3.35, p=.006). Health behavior in elderly home residents according to living situations was not different significantly(F=.88, p=.492). However, questionnaire of “only the elderly couple lives” showed the highest health behavior score as an average 3.05(±.24). Life satisfaction in elderly home residents according to living situations was not different significantly (F=1.67, p=.143). There was a positive correlation between empowerment, health behaviors and life satisfaction. Conclusion: Considering that the single home which only the elderly people reside is the one of general family patterns of the aged people, the elderly people shall acknowledge the difference of values between a family pattern which takes a serious view of family or sons/daughters and a family pattern which reflects a weak supporting consciousness by a nuclear family. Based on above facts, Nurses should develope the nursing strategies to promote life satisfaction in the elderly.
신규간호사와 간호학생의 간호직무수행도 및 중요도의 비교

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare frequency and importance of nursing practice in novice nurses and student nurses. Method: A descriptive design was used with convenience sampling of 292 novice nurses in 2 hospitals with 500 beds and 214 student nurses from 4 universities. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire. Results: 1) The total score for frequency of nursing practice was 2.58±0.41 and for the importance of nursing practice was 3.03±0.36 in novice nurses and in student nurses the frequency score was 2.66±0.69 and the total score for importance was 3.24±0.35. 2) The total score for frequency was not different between novice and student nurses, but 9 of the top 10 categories in order of frequency were significantly different. 3) The score for importance between novice nurses and student nurses was significantly different with the student nurses having higher scores than the novice nurses. 4) Frequency scores were not different for students in universities compared to students in community colleges. Conclusion: Novice nurses perform skills associated with medication, but student nurses do not and therefore do not recognize the importance of these skills. Education in nursing needs to identify strategies to strengthen practice in this vulnerable area.

본 연구는 병원 내에서 시행되는 내부마케팅과 간호사들의 직장애착정도가 병원의 경영성과에 미치는 영향정도를 파악하여 보다 효과적인 내부마케팅과 직장애착도 증진을 위한 전략수립 및 인력관리를 위해 실시하였다. 자료 수집은 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 일 지역의 6개 병원 간호사 284명을 편의 추출하여 조사하였다. 분석결과, 개인별로 인지하는 경영성과는 내부마케팅의 의사소통과 직장애착이 유의한 영향요인으로 41.5%가 설명되었고, 기관단위별로 인지하는 경영성과는 병원규모, 내부마케팅의 보상체계제도와 세분화제도가 유의한 영향요인으로 53.2%가 설명되었다. 병원의 경영성과에 내부마케팅 중 의사소통, 보상체계와 세분화 전략, 그리고 조직구성원의 직장애착이 긍정적인 영향을 미치고 있어, 병원의 내부고객인 간호사를 위한 내부마케팅활성화 정책과 직장애착도 향상 전략 등을 통한 병원 경영성과 기여에 노력해야 할 것으로 사료된다. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between internal marketing, organizational commitment and business performance. Therefore this study is helped to build the strategies that is more efficient internal marketing and organizational commitment for the hospital business. A cross-sectional design was used, with a convenience sample of 284 registered nurses from two university hospitals, two general hospitals and two maternal-child hospital in one region. Collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and multiple regression through the SPSS WIN program. The predicting factors for communication and organizational commitment had the explanation power of 41.5% in business performance by the individual. The hospital size, compensation and segmentation system comprise about 53.2% of business performance by the organizations. So, nursing leaders should be interest in the strategies for good business performance. It is possible that they implement the policies to suitable internal marketing strategies and the program to improve organizational commitment for nurses.
