This study was carried out as basic study to apply to construction site the HPC method which is being developed. The construction cost of HPC method was analyzed in comparison with conventional method (half slab method). With regard to research method, it was decided that data on construction work carried out by half slab method was analyzed. According to the results of study, in case of being applied to the construction work using a divided column, the number of columns was decreased. So, it was shown that member production cost, and transport and assemblage cost reduced. In case of being applied to construction work using an undivided column, the analysis showed that there was little difference in construction cost. Therefore, the analysis showed that, if HPC construction method was applied to large structure using a large column, the construction cost was reduced to some extent in comparison with conventional half slab method.

With increased interest in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, there is also a growing interest in the innovation of college education. In this regard, this study aims to develop a learning model for building construction to nurture architectural engineers needed in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. To this end, it analyzed the previous studies on the recent innovations in engineering education. Among the educational innovation methods presented in the previous research, a new learning model was derived by using the most suitable method for the building construction eduction. The derived learning model is a building construction learning model applying team-based learning and flipped learning. The learning model proposed in this study was developed as a learning method to nurture engineers needed in the future. Therefore, it is expected that this model can be utilized in the eduction of architectural engineering at universities in Korea.

The objective of this study is analyzing of requirements for improvement of the work-life balance of construction managers working in Korean construction companies. A survey has been conducted to analyze the requirements for improvement of construction managers. The survey was conducted on construction managers working in the field of architectural construction. 59 field managers working in 18 Korean construction companies responded to the survey. Upon analysis of the survey, the working hours were excessive and recreational time was very poor for the construction managers. There were differences in the answers regarding the areas that require improvement in the working conditions based on the age groups of the construction managers. A majority of young technicians selected that the recreational time and content of work require improvement, and technicians with a lot of experience selected that the stability of occupation and wage require improvement.
