마그네틱 마커를 이용하는 이동로봇을 위한 위치인식 센서 시스템

In recent studies, many methods have been studied for mobile robot using magnetic markers on its pathway. This is not influenced by the weather conditions, and makes possible to develop controller with low level processors and simple algorithms. However, the interval between magnets is restricted by the magnetic field intensity and it is impossible to get road information ahead. This paper suggests a method of widening markers and expressing the road information ahead using magnetic markers, and explains a sensor arrangement considering suggested methods. Also, magnetic field analysis was done to investigate the effects of widening magnetic markers with various environments. A small mobile robot was made to figure out the performance of suggested methods, and driving experiments were performed on the straight and curved road with magnetic markers. The results show that the robot moved the prearranged pathway with 0.5cm lateral displacements and stopped at a stop line using magnetic information on the road.

This paper describes an effort of improving performances of ultrasonic ranging system using V40 microprocessor. Conventional ranging systems are somewhat inaccurate because they do not have capability of compensating changes in medium condition. The novel ranging system overcomes this disadvantage by placing a dummy sensor functioning as a standard calibrating instrument in the same medium and by providing data processing capability using V40 controller. Also data communication between V40 and personal computer via RS232C makes it possible to use the ranging system for varieties of other applications such as analysis of static and dynamic system.

There has been a continuous increase in the utilization and utility value of renewable energy such as wind power generation in modern society. Wind condition is the absolute variable to the energy volume in the case of a wind power generation system. For this reason, wind power generators have already been installed in areas where wind velocity is high and the possibility of danger is very low. In other words, instability is likely if the wind velocity in an area is high and where a wind power generation system can be built. On the contrary, low wind velocity is possible in an area with high stability. Therefore, the design and manufacture of a wind power generation system should be carried out in a more complicated topography in order to secure a bigger market. This study examines and suggest how topography affects wind shear by analyzing the measured data in order to predict wind power generation more reliably.

This paper discusses to the capability improvement of the 1/4 HP compressor. And, for efficiency improvement of the single phase induction motor, this paper has proposed a casting method to improving the fill factor of the rotor of the single phase induction motor. First, by using FEM, it was analyzed the magnetic flux distribution and the fill factor to the SPIM rotor by the conventional method and the proposed method. And, based on the FEM analysis results, SPIMs are manufactured by the each casting process. Through experiments using dynamometer, they were compared and measured to their efficiencies. In addition, through experiments using Calorimeter, we have analyzed the refrigerating capacity of the compressor of which they were applied. Based on the results of the previous two experiments, they are to verify the validity of the proposed method.

This paper presents a Fourier based algorithm for estimating the parameters of the low frequency oscillating modes. The proposed methods estimates various parameters(frequency, damping factor, mode magnitude, phase) by fitting Fourier spectrum and phase with a damped exponential cosine function. Dominant frequency is selected by taking frequency corresponding to the peak spectrum, and damping factor is estimated using the left/right spectra of Fourier spectrum. In addition, mode magnitude is calculated by the normalized peak spectrum, and phase is estimated from spectrum phase. Also, we introduce an accuracy index in order to determine the accuracy of the estimated parameters, and the index is calculated using the deviations of the peak spectrum and the left/right spectra. The parameter estimation methods proposed in this paper include very simple arithmetical processes, so the algorithms are simple and the calculation speed is very fast. The proposed methods are applied to test functions with two dominant modes. The results show that the proposed methods are highly applicable to low frequency parameter estimation.
