A study was planned to see if administration of ginseng extract has any influence upon the nucleic acid content of the mandibular gland of rats, and to estimate the effect of ACTH administration upon the nucleic acid content of rats previously primed with ginseng. Ninety male rats (body weight: 150-200 gm) were divided into the ginseng, the saline, and the normal groups, which received for 5 days 0.5 ml /100 gm body weight of ginseng extract solution (4 mg of ginseng alcohol extract in 1 ml of saline), same amount of saline, or no medication, respectively. On the 5th experimental day, each of the 3 groups was further divided into 2 subgroups yielding the ginseng, the ginseng-ACTH, the saline, the saline?ACTH, the normal, and the normal-ACTH subgroups. The ginseng, the saline, and the normal subgroups were sacrificed 2 hours after the last medication, while the ginseng-ACTH, the saline-ACTH, and the normal-ACTH subgroups received ACTH (0.1 unit/subject) 1 hour after the last medication and were sacrificed after 1 more hour. The mandibular gland was measured for RNA and DNA contents using the chemical method of Schmidt-Thanhauser-Schneider. Following results were obtained 1. RNA content of the mandibular gland and RNA/DNA ratio were significantly higher in the ginseng group than they were in the normal and the saline groups. The DNA content was significantly reduced in the ginseng group. 2. Administration of ACTH reduced nucleic acid contents of the mandibular gland. In the ginseng group the rate of decrease ((value of ginseng-ACTH subgroup-value of ginseng subgroup) X 100/value of ginseng subgroup) in RNA and RNA/DNA ratio were more conspicuous than they were in the normal and the saline groups. The rate of decrease in DNA after ACI'II was less conspicuous in the ginseng group. Thus under the influence of ginseng the mandibular glandular RNA content and RNA/DNA ratio increased significantly and DNA content decreased conspicuously while under additional influence of ACTH the rate of decrease was conspicuous in RNA content and RNA/DNA ratio but it was less so in DNA content.

As construction technology have been developing, structure numbers which construct a building subjected to combined loading. not a loading that have been designed for the past tirres. This study evaluated effect that get on internal force of composite beam by various situation of construction. For example, there would be effect that change internal force of section by degree of shear connection and soil pressure action time. So we need a P-M interaction curve of composite beam section which can evaluate internal force. P-M interaction curve shows a ultimate limits of the internal force of structure numbers subjected to axial force and bending moment. Study for P-M interaction curve design is very important part to design structure numbers. This study designed P-M interaction curve of composite beam that reflect asymmetry and examined internal force of composite beam through P-M interaction curve under various condition. As a result, we could know that P-M interaction curve was increased than existing P-M interaction curve when only axial force acts to steel materials. and proposed more accurate design method that reflects effect of bending strength by the degree of shear connection to existing P-M interaction curve.

The purpose of this study is to inform and suggest on the two study subjects. One is concerned to meta analysis results of former studies The other is concerned to propose prerequisite of educational policy evaluation, witch evaluation plan or design is used to be mattered as far to the reliability and validity of educational policy evaluation. In order to testify these study purposes, the research method applied is literature review. The literature review is conducted by analyzing sample documents such as doctoral dissertations, books, research reports, and published articles of specialistic journals, which are concerned to educational policy evaluation. Among the results of this study investigated the literature of educational policy evaluation, findings at a broader perspective are as follows: First, many of former studies do not try to analyze whole contents and structures of educational policy evaluation. So the evaluation plan(or design) can not structurally be made, and the polices evaluation carried out can not wholly be assessed a set of policy processes. As a result of comprehending to meta analyze each outcome of these studies, new conclusion is found that former studies do not have evaluation plan or design as prerequisite of educational policy evaluation. Afterwards meta evaluation will be carried out to synthesize findings of several studies and to testify the results of evaluation which identify whether or not to attain its aims. Second, many of policy processes which former studies proposed are not clearly divided into each study of educational policy evaluation. In other words, these studies are so concerned to some special evaluation items or factors the they cannot find out how the studies of educational policy evaluation are concretely practiced. This study suggests a model which is plan or design of evaluation as a prerequisite for comprehensive evaluation of educational policy. This model is proposed to analyze whole contents and structures of educational policy evaluation. This model has three stages such as policy formation and making, Policy implementation, policy, evaluation Further studies should be carried to find comprehensive tents and structures of' evaluation processes.

Improvement in the control strategy for continuous casting is a crucial requirement to enhance the slab's quality and to increase productivity. The mold oscillator adopts the dual cylinders due to its heavy weight, so the synchronized motion of two cylinders is an important aspect when precise control is needed. The conventional method uses the master-slave control applied to the valve input reference, but the synchronization performance should still be improved. This paper proposes a novel synchronization algorithm for dual cylinders used in a mold oscillator. The master-slave concept is applied to the target reference position, that is, the slave target reference position is controlled to match the slave cylinder's position with the master cylinder's position. In the simulation based on a Simulink model, the proposed algorithm shows a better synchronization performance in aspect of the mean of the absolute error and the peak synchronization error.
