기존의 시민사회론은 시민사회 영역을 규범적·당위적으로 규정함으로써 실제 시민사회 영역에서 발생하는 운동의 양상과 영향에 대한 적절한 평가를 이루어내지 못했다. 본 논문은 ‘시민사회’의 이름으로 신자유주의적 경제개혁이 주창되는 현상을 살펴본다. 테크노폴(technopol)의 개념을 활용하여 시민사회에서 활동하는 전문가 집단들의 신자유주의적 전문성에 대해 분석함으로써 시민사회 영역이 실제로는 대중들는 상반된 전문적 행위자들에 의해 지배될 수 있음을 밝히고자 한다. 대표적인 예로서 시민사회 영역에서 가장 큰 영향력을 가졌던 경제정의실천시민연합(경실련)과 참여연대를 살펴 보고 있다. 경실련의 경우 기층세력이 요구했던 분배 문제보다는 노동유연화, 공기업 민영화, 금융시장 개방 및 자유화라는 국가 관료들이 주창한 신자유주의적 개혁 의제에 운동의 초점을 맞추었고 정치적 성향이 강했던 참여연대 역시 일정부분 경제적 이슈로 전환되게 된다. 이와 같은 연구를 통해 경제민주화의 개념이 우리사회에서 분배나 노동자의 경영참여보다는 시장개혁으로서의 함의를 가지게 되었는지를 시민사회 운동의 성격을 통하여 알 수 있게 될 것이다. Although the role of civil society has been considered as a desirable vehicle for consolidating democracy, there are some cases that the organizations of civil society become a proponent of neoliberal economic reforms, endangering social security. There was distinctive case during Kim Young-Sam regime. The CCEJ (Citizen"s Coalition for Economic Justice) played an important role to justify the neoliberal economic reform, implemented by Kim"s regime while the demand of equal distribution was disregarded. This paper examine the relationship between the role of civil society organizations and the neoliberal reform in Kim Young-Sam regime through the dynamic interaction among main actors.

It is still controversial where the improved stability of n-octadecyltriethoxysilane self-assembled monolayer (OTE SAM) on plasma-pretreated mica surface exactly originates from. To date, it has been well known that the extensive cross-polymerization between silane head-groups is a crucial factor for the outstanding mechanical strength of the monolayer. However, this study clearly showed that the stability comes not only from the cross-links but also, far more importantly, from the direct chemical bonds between silane headgroups and mica surface. To examine this phenomenon, n-octadecyltrichlorosilane monolayers were self-assembled on both untreated and plasma treated mica surfaces, and their adhesion properties at various physical conditions (relative humidity, high stress, and contact repetition) were investigated and compared through the use of the surface forces apparatus technique. It revealed that, in highly humid conditions (>90%RH), there is a substantial difference of stability between untreated and plasma treated cases and the plasma treated surface is mechanically much more stable. It obviously proves that the extensive chemical bonds indeed exist between silane head-groups and plasma treated mica surface and dramatically improve the mechanical stability of the OTE monolayer-coated mica substrate.

Purpose: CD105 (endoglin) has been shown to be a more useful marker to identify the proliferating endothelium involved in tumor angiogenesis than are the panendothelial markers. The monoclonal antibody D2-40 is a specific lymphatic endothelial marker. Methods: We investigated CD105, lymphatic vessel marker (D2-40), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGD)-A and the VEGF-D expressions as possible prognostic markers in the endoscopic biopsy tissue of stomach cancer patients. The pre-operative endoscopic biopsies and surgical biopsies from 73 patients were immunostained for CD105, D2-40, VEGF-A and VEGF-D. Positively stained microvessels were counted in densely vascular foci (hot spots) at a ×200 field in each specimen. Results: The microvessel density (MVD) and lymphatic vessel density (LVD), according to the CD105 and D2-40 expressions of the endoscopic biopsies, showed a statistically significant correlation with the surgical biopsies. The MVD via CD105 a showed statistically significant correlation with the histologic differentiation, T-stage, nodal metastasis and stage in the endoscopic biopsies and surgical biopsies, respectively. The lympathic vessel density (LVD) via D2-40 showed a statistically significant correlation with T-stage, nodal metastasis and stage in the endoscopic biopsies. The expressions of VEGF-A and VEGF-D showed a statistically significant correlation with the MVD and LVD. Conclusion: The MVD, as determined by the CD105 expression and the LVD as determined by the D2-40 expression may be useful markers for predicting the invasiveness with using a pre-operative endoscopic biopsy of stomach cancer.

The short range ordering (SRO) reaction is investigated in 316L stainless steel through differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) using thermo-mechanically treated specimens. It is interpreted that the exothermic reaction and the endothermic reaction during DSC analysis are due to the ordering and disordering, respectively. The activation energy for the exothermic reaction is determined to be 234 kJ/mol. This suggests that the exothermic reaction is governed by substitutional diffusion. It supports that the nature of the exothermic reaction is the SRO reaction. The cold work affects the kinetics of SRO significantly and shifts the SRO region from 500-570 ℃ to 200-600 ℃. The exothermic energy due to the SRO reaction increases with the amount of cold work. The fact that the SRO is an unavoidable reaction below 570 ℃ is very important.

The deformation mechanism at room temperature in water quenched (WQ) and furnace cooled (FC) mild steels was investigated in a plane tilted 45° from the tensile direction, using electron back scattered diffraction, XRD, and TEM. The occurrence of (211) twinning was confirmed by pole figures and the slip systems were analyzed by variation in full width half maximum during tensile deformation. In WQ steel the deformation occurred through both (211) twinning and (110) slip in the low strain region, and by (211) slip in the high strain region. However, in FC the deformation was produced by both (211) twinning and (211) slip in the low strain region and (211) twinning and (110) and (211) slip in the high strain region in FC. †(Received May 27, 2016; Accepted June 23, 2016)

In this study, the cause of brake squeal is investigated and the design modification for reducing the squeal is proposed. To estimate the dynamic stability of a disc brake assembly, the complex eigenvalue analysis is performed through the following 3 steps; 1) modal correlation between FE analysis and testing for each component, 2) non-linear static analysis for the braking pressure application, 3) complex eigenvalue analysis for the brake assembly using ABAQUS. The analysis results show good correlation with vehicle testing for the squeal frequency at an unstable mode. To investigate the cause of instability, the mode tracking of the unstable mode is performed with varying friction coefficient up to 0.6. The results reveal that two separated stable modes meet at the friction coefficient of 0.18 and create the complex mode pair. To reduce the instability. the structural modifications are proposed and evaluated by the FE analysis.
