Valve remote control system(VRCS) is a convenient system which make it possible to operate the valves installed in the cargo or ballast tanks from the remote wheelhouse using only push buttons on the central control console. The actual positions of valves are normally displayed on a mimic panel. VRCS is consisted of many parts such as a control console, a interface panel, a hydraulic power pack, a solenoid valve rack, a deck box and valves with hydraulic actuators. Thus, this study designed a new hydraulic actuator using gear pump. Its main components are a gear pump, an AC motor, a check valve, a relief valve and a controller. Therefore, the developed VRCS has a simply structure such as a control console, a interface panel and valves with new hydraulic actuators.
Zigbee 무선통신 네트워크 기반 변형측정 시스템 설계 및 개발

본 논문에서는 구조물의 안전한 관리를 위하여 진동현방식 센서를 이용하여 변형을 측정하고 Zigbee 무선 네트워크를 통하여 원격 모니터링할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하였다. 구현한 변형측정기는 진동현방식 센서를 구동하여 출력되는 신호의 주파수를 측정하여 변형을 계산하고, 변형 측정에 있어 요구되는 온도 보상을 위한 온도를 측정한다. 2축 가속도센서를 이용하여 변형의 방향을 측정할 수 있다. 개발한 변형측정기에는 보다 효율적인 모니터링을 위하여 유무선 통신 기능이 있다. 실험을 통하여 개발한 진동현방식 변형측정 시스템이 원격모니터링에 효과적임을 확인한다. In this paper, a system using vibrating wire sensor and zigbee wireless network has been implemented to monitor and manage the structure. The implemented strain controller drives vibrating wire sensor and computes strain from measuring frequency of the output signal. Temperature sensor is included to compensate strain by temperature. Using two axis acceleration sensor of strain controller can measure the direction of strain or deformation. To measure strain more effectively, wired and wireless communication function is included in this device. As results of experiments, it is shown that the developed system can be effectively applied to measure strain of the structure.

The shoes process management monitoring system for supporting SCM is developed in this study. This system consists of a monitoring program, a conveyer system, a pneumatic unit, a controller, an USB camera, and a server and a client computer. To operate the developed system easily, the monitoring program using LabVIEW in the Windows environment is developed. This program consists of 5 modules: production management, inventory control, media management, defective management, and communication management. The developed system has several advantages: reduced time for managing process work, decreased labor costs, effective operation, and continuous work without an operator. Nowadays advanced manufacturing companies are trying to find a way to check the performance of their production equipments and plants from remote sites. Thus, to manage the developed system from remote sites, communication network is constructed. In order to evaluate the performance of the monitoring system, experiments were performed. The experimental results showed that the developed system provided a reliable performance and a stable communication.

A Fresh water generator is designed to produce fresh water from sea water. This generator produces fresh water by evaporating and condensing sea water, and it uses the engine jacket water as the heat source. While a vessel is sailing, it uses main engine to produce fresh water and also, while a vessel is in port, it uses auxiliary engine. After all, sea water is evaporated the heat which the coolant contains, so it can produce fresh water economically, because it dose not need additional heat source. A salinity meter is a densitometer measuring the concentration of salt in sea water. This study designed the multi-function salinity meter(SAL-2000). SAL-2000 has many functions such as conductivity, salinity, flow rate, and so on.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the consciousness of residents for the opening orientation of the non-south oriented flat-type apartment building Main considerations are to figure out advantage or disadvantage of 3 types comparative evaluation by the values of orientation and environmental conditions, Questionnaire survey data are analysed by SPSS+. The results of this study were as follows: 1) the advantage ratio of E and E~S.E are more than 84% level, but that of W~SW is 55% level. 2) the sequences of environmental conditions are solar radiations>view>privacy>noise>ventilation.

This paper describes influence on tunnel lining by spalling and pore pressure in tunnel operation. Spalling comes from deficiency of lining width and water pressure propagation. So, crack and crak form will be developed. In this paper presents some suggestions on this matters.
