In this paper, we propose to investigate the differences of academic achievement and core competence according to university admission types. Research subjects were 159 nursing students in G city. The tool used in this study was Collegiate Students Essential Skills Assessment developed by the KW University. The 6 areas measured with the tool are: humanities, Humanism, self-directedness, creative competence, practice competence and global competence. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Scheffe’ test and pearson’s correlation coefficient using SPSS WIN 18.0 Program. There were significant differences in core competence according to university admission types. But There were significant differences in academic achievement according to university admission types. And significant positive correlation between academic achievement and core competece was not founded. But significant positive correlation of 6 core competencies were founded. Based on the result of this study, it is possible to serve basic data for establishing better university admission type.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends of intervention research and to suggest further direction about sleep of the elderly in Korea. Method: Twenty-four researches conducted from 2001 to 2008 were analyzed according to the year of publication, research design, measurement concepts, measurement instruments, intervention of experimental research and the results. Results: There were 20 thesis and 4 articles on journals. The health elderly as subjects' characteristics were 15 of total studies. The others had dementia, arthritis, hypertension and other disease. The scale that was the most used in researches was sleep scale followed by Snyder and Verran. And most measurements scale used for research were translated it into Korean. Depression, stress, fatigue were surveyed with sleep patterns. The major interventions included aroma therapy, foot reflexo-massage. There were heat therapy, exercise, foot bathing, sleep education and auricular acupuncture. Conclusion: It is necessary to study the replication to establish the effect of nursing intervention and the comparison of researches internationally.
간호여대생과 일반여대생의 성에 대한 인식 및 성교육 요구도에 관한 비교 연구

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the sex perceptions and the needs of sex education between nursing students and non-nursing students. Method: The subjects were composed of 104 in the group of nursing students and 103 in the group of non-nursing students in Daegu and Busan. The data were collected from June, 14, 2006 to June, 21, 2006. And the data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, χ²-test, and pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS WIN 15.0. Results: The result of this study were as follows. In knowledge and attitude of sex, mean score of the nursing students was higher than the mean score of non-nursing students. Experiences of pregnancy and artificial abortion in non-nursing students were more than that of nursing students. Among the students' needs on the sex education contents, contraception and prevention of sexual crime were the most. Conclusion: With the above result, there were significant differences on sex perceptions and the needs of sex education between nursing students and non-nursing students. Therefore, when we teach about sexuality in university, we must focus on the contraception method and prevention methods of sexual crime with realistic and concrete teaching method by specialty.
대학생의 지각된 스트레스, 스트레스 대처, 완벽주의, 자아존중감이 정신건강에 미치는 영향

본 연구에서는 지각된 스트레스, 스트레스 대처, 완벽주의, 자아존중감이 대학생의 정신건강에 미치는 영향에 대해 살펴봄으로써 이들의 정신건강 증진을 위한 방법을 모색하고자 하였다. K도의 3개 대학에 재학 중인 209명의 남녀 대학생을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후 SPSS 18.0을 이용하여 빈도, 피어슨 상관관계, 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 대학생의 정신건강은 지각된 스트레스, 과업중심 및 정서중심 스트레스 대처, 사회적으로 부과된 완벽주의, 자아존중감과 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 한 대학생의 정신건강 증진을 위해 대학생의 사회성을 강화하고, 신체활동증진 및 자아존중감 증진을 위한 다학제적 교육프로그램 개발이 필요하다고 판단된다. This study was done to identify the new ways improving mental health of college students through search the influence on their mental health by their perfectionism, self esteem, perceived stress and its coping efforts. Participants consisted of 206 male and female college students who are attending in 3 universities in K province. Data was analyzed by frequencies, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. Mental health were significant correlation with perceived stress, coping efforts on their tasks and emotional stress, perfectionism obtained from society, and self esteem. In order to improving mental health of college student, it is crucial to intensify sociality and develop multidisciplinary educational program on the basis of the results of this study.
통증관리 교육이 간호사의 통증지식 및 중재 이행도에 미치는 효과

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of pain management education on nurses"s pain knowledge and intervention compliance. Method: The data collection was from December, 2006 to January, 2007. The subjects were consist of 31 in experimental group and 29 in control group. The subjects in experimental group participated in a class of pain management for 40 minutes. The knowledge scale was the revised one by Kwon(2003) using Watt-Watson(1992)"s scale and McCaffery & Ferrell(1997),s scale. The compliance scale was the revised one by Kwon(2003) using McCaffery & Pasero(1999)"s scale. Results: The result of this study were as follows. First, The experimental group"s pain knowledge was higher than control group. Second, there were not significant differences in compliance of medication intervention between two groups. Third, the experimental group"s compliance of intervention without medication was higher than control group. Forth, there were significant relationship knowledge of pain with compliance of intervention.
