        KTX OBCS has computers, peripheral devices and command control channels. The computers are connected to TORNAD* network. The peripheral devices are connected to computers. The command control channels are used for the KTX vehicle's control, monitoring and maintenance. The OBCS provides drivers and maintenance engineers with the analysis and monitoring of the hindrance to the train service by utilizing the vehicle network information and low-voltage input/output control channel. The operation and maintenance feature of the OBCS enables KTX to have safe train service and immediate maintenance for the hindrance. also makes it possible to monitor the static and dynamic status of each device and compatibility of the system by analysing malfunction and integrity under certain circumstances and by enhancing equipments quality. This paper could introduce the efficient maintenance system and new applications and serve as a reference material for the immediate and safe analysis of KTX vehicle and its devices.

      • KTX 고속차량 검수종료후 자동출고검사 프로시져 연구

        KTX 고속열차는 차량설계시 정비검사(systematic and conditional preventive maintenance)주기를 일일 2,500㎞ 주행거리 운행을 기준으로 산정한다. KTX 개통초기 기술이전으로 제공 된 절차와 방법으로 차량정비를 시행하였다. 정비기간 유지보수효과가 동기간 운행수입보다 효과적인 정비원칙을 세우고, 차량운용 최적화와 차량성능보장이 되도록 정비원칙을 개선하고 업무의 피드백을 추구한다. 차량예방정비 최소단위인 일상검수(Examination in Service) 이후에 양쪽 동력차 운전실에서 시행되는 검수종료후 자동출고검사(exit test-checks from maintenace-shop after preventive maintenance)와 도착출발검사 (arrival-predeparture test-check) 프로시져를 분석하고, 차량 운전실내에서 차량의 상태검사를 확인하는 절차에 따른 점검항목에 대한 분석으로 안전성과 규정성이 강한 장치에 대한 검사절차에 대한 기준을 체계화하고, 향후 차량정비도 향상 및 도중고장예방으로, 고속열차운영 효율화 및, 고속열차 자동출고검사 표준화에 기여 할 것으로 기대한다. At the time of transet design, the cycle of systematic and conditional preventive maintenance for KTX trainset is 2,500 ㎞ based on daily running distance. Initially when new technology for KTX was introduced from abroad, maintenance and repair works were carried out with the procedures and methods provided by technology transfer. The maintenance procedure was established and carried out in such a way that the maintenance effect during the maintenance period was more effective than the income during the same period. In order to optimize train operation and performance, the maintenance principles must be observed and feedback of improvements must be promoted. We will analyze the exit test-checks from maintenance shop after preventive maintenance and arrival-predeparture test-check procedures that are carried out by both drive cabins after daily examination in service which is the minimum unit of train preventive maintenance. We will also systematize the standards for test procedures for devices that are important for safety and regulation through detailed analysis of the checkpoints in accordance with the procedure for train status check in the driver's cabin. Furthermore, we will prevent high speed train breakdown during operation and improve KTX trainset maintenance level which are expected to contribute to the higher efficiency of high speed train operation and to the standardization of exis test-checks from maintenance shop after preventive maintenance.

      • KTX 차량컴퓨터제어장치(OBCS) 국산화 개발 연구

        Using network communication, KTX OBCS is KTX"s core device which inspects operation status of various electric equipments and supports driving command, train control, train"s maintenance, train crew"s driving. Since this device is manufactured as specialized system, being dependent on TGV manufacture specification and France"s high speed train operation method, actual technic transfer is difficult. Therefore, there are many difficulties, since most of interface signals are connected with OBCS when function improvement, maintenance, various electric equipments(propulsion control device, auxiliary power supply device, door control device etc.) are replaced with localized ones, which are required in operational view after introduction of KTX. Ergo, this study would like to contribute to function improvement and maintenance"s efficiency, furthermore to realize technical independence, escaping from dependency of developed foreign technology in high speed train and electric equipments, through KTX OBCS" function analysis and mutual interface information analysis with peripheral device(driver console, PID system, fault display device, various electric equipments).
