Mathematical models to forecast urban water demand are developed from analysis of past water consumption and its factors which are related to the urban water use patterns. Consumption of urban water is influenced by many factors, including population, price, consumer income, regional cultural behavior, the configuration of commercial and civic uses and climatic considerations. 33 explanatory variables are then analysed and correlated with the dependent variables by the processes of factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. Total gross and per capita municipal water demands are considered as dependent variables for which forecasting demand models are to be developed. Both linear and log-linear forms are considered in this study the effects of explanatory variables on the dependent variables are assumed to be either additive or multiplicative. Linear models are, in general, more appropriate than log-linear models for both single city models and multiple cities models.

Type 2 diabetes is a typical polygenic disease complex, for which several common risk alleles have been identified. Matrix metalloproteinase-3 (MMP3) is an enzyme known to be involved in the destruction of the extracellular matrix in normal physiological processes and disease. 11β-Hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 (11β-HSD1) that catalyzes the conversion of inactive cortisone to active cortisol. is related to the development of type 2 diabetes. Therefore, we investigated the genotypes for the SNP rs522616 in MMP3 gene and rs12086634 in 11β-HSD1 gene between patients and the control group in Korean population. One hundred patients (Male 58, Female 42) with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and 100 controls (Male 36, Female 64) participated in this study. As a result, there was no association between the SNP rs522616 in MMP3 gene, rs12086634 in 11β-HSD1 gene and T2D. Further studies with larger population may be needed for the development of diagnostic methods at the genetic level.
청년층의 구직활동과 엽직결정의 관계에서 근로여건의 조절효과

본고는 한국교육고용패널 (KEEP) 자료의 9차 웨이브를 이용하여 청년층의 구직활동과 입직 결정의 관계에서 근로여건의 조절효과를 규명하였고 이를 통해 청년층들이 노동사회로의 용 이한 진출을 위한 시사점을 도출하였다. 그 결과를 살펴보면 구직활동 중 직업훈련 참여 취업정보 탐색 직업적성.흥미검사와 취업 여부의 관계에서 근로여건 중 기업체 규모, 임금수준이 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다 이 러한 경향으로 보아, 청년층들은 직업적성·흥띠검사 등 구직활동을 통해 취업하는 과정에서 기 업체 규모와 임금수준을 고려하여 규모가 크고 임금수준이 높은 직장으로 취업하려는 경향이 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나, 이는 청년 구직자들의 산업사회로의 진출을 더디게 하는 원인의 하 나로 작용하게 하는 것으로 판단된다. 이러한 결과는 청년층의 원활한 노동시장 이행을 위한 효과적인 직업알선프로그램을 활성화 하고, 졸업 후 미취업자에게는 적절하고 내실있는 교육훈련과 취업정보를 제공함과 동시에 자 신의 수준에 맞는 취업처 알선이 제대로 이루어질 필요가 있다는 점을 시사한다.
EPLD 를 이용한 Custom IC 의 설계 및 구현

Three custom integrated circuits used in Crosspoint Switches in TDX-10 are designed and implemented with EPLD (Erasable Programmable Logic Device). Their characteristics are analyzed and compared with their TTL counterparts in terms of power consumption, propagation delay, and estimated PCB area. As far as power consumption and estimated PCB area concern, the circuits with EPLD show superiorities over their TTL counterparts. Delay characteristics of the circuits by EPLDs are also analyzed with delay elements in the logic devices. Experimental results show good agreements with the delay analysis.
Level - Shift 전류 구동 순환 A/D 와 D/A 변환기의 설계

In this paper, we propose a new cyclic A/D and D/A converter in which current-level shifting algorithm is adopted. Since the low current level of dynamic current mirror limits conversion speed and resolution, the converter in this study is designed to operate in high current range. It results in that this converter outperforms the conventional cyclic converter in conversion speed and resolution. On the other hand, the structure of the proposed converter is switchable to A/D or D/A without extra analog parts. This switchable converter could be found useful in many applications where the chip size and power consumptipn are crucial requirements.
Static output feedback pole assignment of 2-input, 2-output, 4th order systems in Grassmann space

It is presented in this paper that the static output feedback (SOF) pole-assignment problem of some lineartime-invariant systems can be completely resolved by parametrization in real Grassmann space. For the realGrassmannian parametrization, the so-called Plücker matrix is utilized as a linear matrix formula formulated fromthe SOF variable’s coefficients of a characteristic polynomial constrained in Grassmann space. It is found that theexact SOF pole assignability is determined by the linear independency of columns of Plücker sub-matrix and byfull-rank of that sub-matrix. It is also presented that previous diverse pole-assignment methods and variouscomputation algorithms of the real SOF gains for 2-input, 2-output, 4th order systems are unified in a deterministicway within this real Grassmannian parametrization method.
