Nevus sebaceus is a rather rare disorder. The clinical diagnosis of nevus sebaceus may present difficulties. On reviewing the literature, it was noted that Jadassohn, Bandler and others described nevus sebaceus as composed histologically of sebaceus glands of normal structure. Authors experienced a case of nevus sebaceus arised on the left preauricular and check area. The patient was 22 year old female. Examination of the left preauricular region and malar region showed a sharply defined, elevated, brownish yellowish, linear plaques formed papules. No subjective symptoms were noted except faul oder from the lesion. Histologically, the preparation showed marked papillary growths of epidermis with hyperkeratosis and numerous sebaceous glands without hair follicles and melanin pigments. Some foci of apocrine sweat glands and accrine glands were noted. It was treated suceessfully by excision with full thickness skin graft from the left postauricular region.

Transverse clefts of the face are unusual lesions that result from failure of the embryonic mandibular and maxillary processes to properly fuse and form the corners of the mouth. In a significant number of patients, there are other coexistent defects either of the face or other parts of the body, occuring as concomitant isolated findings, or within a syndrome. Authors reported on 2 cases of transverse facial clefts. One was found to have (in addition to a facial cleft), preauricular tag, a cartilaginous rest in the cheek of the same side. The second patient was found to have right transverse facial clefts, preauricular tag and rib anomaly which shows fusion of anterior end of bony portions of the right second and third anterior ribs. Two cases were treated by a Z-plasty technique(as described by Longacre).

1. Three cases of primary omental torsion of the greater omentum were experienced at the surgical department of Korea University Medical College Hospital. 2. Two of these were male, one of was female and ages were 29,39 and 45 years old. 3. The condition manifests itself with symptoms and sign of an acute surgical abdomen mimicking usually acute appendicitis or torsion of ovarian cyst. 4. Treatment consist of resection of the involved omentum. No post operative complication developed. 5. The finding of free serosanguineous fluid at the time of laparotomy in the absence of a pathologic condition in the appendix, gallbladder, or pelvic organs should alert the surgeon to the possibility of omental torsion.
