As it is known, the researches on ownership transfer issues of RFID tag have focused on a single owner. However in practice, RFID tag may have multiple owners who occupy different weights. To solve the problem, the ownership transfer protocol of multi-owner with different weights based on Lagrange has been proposed. Assuming the key is divided into n parts in this paper, and the owner gets the corresponding sub secret key according to the weight. Then, If and only if the sum of the weights of the owners involved in the restoration of the secret key is equal to or greater than t, the secret key can be obtained, or not. Therefore, security of ownership transition and flexibility in the practical application are enhanced.

Objective: The objective of this study was to measure the special expression pattern of lipid metabolism genes and investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying intramuscular fat (IMF) deposition in Longissimus dorsi muscle of Laiwu pigs. Methods: Thirty-six pigs (Laiwu n = 18; Duroc×Landrace×Yorkshire n = 18) were used for the measurement of the backfat thickness, marbling score, IMF content, and expression of lipid metabolism genes. Results: Significant correlations were found between IMF content and the mRNA expression of lipid metabolism genes. Of the 14 fat deposition genes measured, fatty acid synthase (FASN) showed the strongest correlation (r = 0.75, p = 0.001) with IMF content, and of the 6 fat removal genes, carnitine palmitoyl transferase 1B (CPT1B) exhibited the greatest negative correlation (r = -0.66, p = 0.003) with IMF content in Laiwu pig. Multiple regression analysis showed that CPT1B, FASN, solute carrier family 27 member 1 (SLC27A1), and fatty acid binding protein 3 (FABP3) contributed 38% of the prediction value for IMF content in Laiwu pigs. Of these four variables, CPT1B had the greatest contribution to IMF content (14%) followed by FASN (11%), SLC27A1 (9%), and FABP3 (4%). Conclusion: Our results indicate that the combined effects of an upregulation in fat deposition genes and downregulation in fat removal genes promotes IMF deposition in Laiwu pigs.

Indoor combustion sources like gas range, kerosene heaters, wood-burning appliances and cigarette smoke are potential nitrogen dioxide(NO₂) emitters. For nitrogen dioxide, exposures to indoor air may pose a potentially greater health threat than outdoor air exposures , because most people spend over 90% of their time indoors. However, until recently epidemiological studies of the health effects of air pollution have relied on measurements of ambient air quality that are obtained from fixed location monitoring stations, rather than on the actual exposures of the individuals whose health status is being tested, to draw inferences regarding possible exposure disease relationships. Many epidemiological studies have used house characteristics associated with indoor sources as simplified proxies for personal NO₂ exposure. Range type and presence of a pilot light have often been used as the two key characteristics, but significant overlaps have remained in the NO₂ concentrations in the exposed and unexposed groups. Thus, characterizing residential N02 concentrations can help investigators determine personal exposures and related health effects. In this study, NO₂ levels were measured in total 87 houses. After mean and standard deviation of NO₂ concentrations were obtained, frequency distributions were plotted using Monte-Carlo simulation. Presence of gas range was the most significant factor contributing to indoor NO₂ level in house characteristics (p=0.000). Overlap by one factor like gas range, gas water heater, inside smoker, and attached house were 47.0, 54.7, 41.9, and 54.9%, respectively. Overlap by two factors like gas range and gas water heater, gas range and inside smoker, and gas range and attached house were 34.9, 20.0, 23 .0%, respectively.

Chronic enteritis can produce an excess of reactive oxygenspecies resulting in cellular damage. Stanniocalcin-1(STC-1)reportedly possesses anti-oxidative activity, the aim of thisstudy was to define more clearly the direct contribution ofSTC-1 to anti-oxidative stress in cattle. In this study, primaryintestinal epithelial cells (IECs) were exposed to hydrogenperoxide (H2O2) for different time intervals to mimic chronicenteritis-induced cellular damage. Prior to treatment with 200μM H2O2, the cells were transfected with a recombinantplasmid for 48 h to over-express STC-1. Acridine orange/ethidium bromide (AO/EB) double staining and trypan blueexclusion assays were then performed to measure cell viabilityand apoptosis of the cells, respectively. The expression of STC-1and apoptosis-related proteins in the cells was monitored byreal-time PCR and Western blotting. The results indicated thatboth STC-1 mRNA and protein expression levels positivelycorrelated with the duration of H2O2 treatment. H2O2 damagedthe bovine IECs in a time-dependent manner, and this effectwas attenuated by STC-1 over-expression. Furthermore, overexpressionof STC-1 up-regulated Bcl-2 protein expression andslightly down-regulated caspase-3 production in the damagedcells. Findings from this study suggested that STC-1 plays aprotective role in intestinal cells through an antioxidant mechanism.
Separation of arenols from a low-temperature coal tar by liquid-liquid extraction
Hua-Shuai Gao,Zhi-Min Zong,Zheng Yang,Dao-Guang Teng,Xiu-Hua Sun,Li Yan,Xian-Yong Wei,Qing-Jie Guo,Tian-Sheng Zhao,Hong-Cun Bai 한국화학공학회 2020 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.37 No.5
Low-temperature coal tar (LTCT) is a sticky liquid mixture produced mainly from coal pyrolysis, which contains various value-added chemicals (VACs). Liquid-liquid extraction is considered as one of the green and effective ways to explore the organic composition and separate the VACs from LTCT. Herein, petroleum ether, methanol, and carbon disulfide were used to extract arenols from a LTCT. As a result, the relative content and absolute content of arenols extracted from the LTCT are ca. 96.3% and 85.9%, respectively. Among them, p-cresol is predominant, accounting for 22.2%. The isolated contents of arenols are up to 84.6%. Moreover, a kilogram-scale operation was carried out under the same conditions, which offers a potential application in industrial production.

We measured anti-nociceptive activity of prim-o-glucosylcimifugin (POG), a molecule from Saposhnikovia divaricate (Turcz) Schischk. Anti-nociceptive or anti-inflammatory effects of POG on a formalin-induced tonic nociceptive response and a complete Freund``s adjuvant (CFA) inoculation-induced rat arthritis pain model were studied. Single subcutaneous injections of POG produced potent anti-nociception in both models that was comparable to indomethacin analgesia. Anti-nociceptive activity of POG was dose-dependent, maximally reducing pain 56.6% with an ED50 of 1.6 mg. Rats given POG over time did not develop tolerance. POG also time-dependently reduced serum TNFα, IL-1β and IL-6 in arthritic rats and both POG and indomethacin reduced spinal prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). Like indomethacin which inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity, POG dose-dependently decreased spinal COX-2 content in arthritic rats. Additionally, POG, and its metabolite cimifugin, downregulated COX-2 expression in vitro. Thus, POG produced potent anti-nociception by downregulating spinal COX-2 expression.

Single subcutaneous injections of POG produced potent anti-nociception in both models that was comparable to indomethacin analgesia. Like indomethacin which inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) activity, POG dose-dependently decreased spinal COX-2 content in arthritic rats. Additionally, POG, and its metabolite cimifugin, downregulated COX-2 expression in vitro. Thus, POG produced potent anti-nociception by downregulating spinal COX-2 expression.
