Relational Network Analysis for Advanced National R&D Outcomes Management

Through national R&D project, various research outcomes, such as papers and patents, are generated in every year. In particular, some outcomes are come from joint researches, and they represent social relationships. This paper proposes the relational network analysis for advanced national R&D management approaches for dealing the complex relationship between R&D outcomes in convergence researches. We analyze the relationship between national R&D project and followed outcomes with status of collaborative researches.

사용자 인터페이스는 어플리케이션 사용자에게 효율적인 서비스를 제공하는데 있어 중요한 요소이다. 특히 언제 어디서나 실행 가능한 모바일 어플리케이션들은 다른 도메인의 어플리케이션보다 사용성의 우선순위가 높다. 기존의 연구들은 어플리케이션의 사용성 향상을 위해서 프로토 타입과 스토리보드 방식을 활용하여 해당 어플리케이션의 사용성에 대한 설문을 수행했다. 하지만 이러한 방식은 특정 어플리케이션의 사용성 관련 문제점을 지속적으로 식별하고 개선하는데 한계가 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 터치 제스처 데이터를 이용하여 사용성을 분석하는 기법을 제안하고 있다. 이는 어플리케이션이 배포된 후에도 지속적으로 사용자의 의도를 파악하여 어플리케이션의 UI/UX 문제점을 식별하고 개선시킬 수 있다. The user interface is an important factor in providing efficient services to application users. In particular, mobile applications that can be executed anytime and anywhere have a higher priority of usability than applications in other domains.Previous studies have used prototype and storyboard methods to improve the usability of applications. However, this approach has limitations in continuously identifying and improving the usability problems of a particular application. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a usability analysis method using touch gesture data. It could identify and improve the UI / UX problem of the application continuously by grasping the intention of the user after the application is distributed.

웹의 발달과 함께 많은 정보들이 쏟아지기 시작했다. 그에 따라서 사회 이슈들을 소셜 데이터로부터 추출하고, 이에 대한 해결 방법을 모색하는 연구에 대한 관심이 많아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 과학기술문헌들을 수집하고, 분석해서 이슈 토픽 별로 군집화 하는 연구를 수행한다. 이를 위해서 보건분야의 주요 용어들을 중심으로 수집하고, 효과적인 분석을 위한 데이터 처리 및 토픽들을 중심으로 군집화 연구를 수행한다. 그 결과, 연구 이슈들을 도출하고 사회 현상에 대한 해결 방안을 마련할 수 있는 토대를 구축하고자 한다. With the development of web, amount of information are generated in social web. Then many researchers are focused on the extracting and analyzing social issues from various social data. The proposed approach performed gathering the science data and analyzing with LDA algorithm. It generated the clusters which represent the social topics related to ‘health’. As a result, we could deduce the relationship between science data and social issues.
노인의 외모관리가 심리적 적응과 사회적 유대관계에 미치는 영향에서 인터넷 쇼핑경험의 조절효과: 가상현실예술융합의 필요성 탐색을 기반으로

The purpose of this study was to identify the moderating effects of internet shopping experience on appearance management in elder people, psychological adaptation and social connectedness. Data were collected from 257 elder people who living in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do. Collected data were analyzed by frequency, descriptive statistic analysis, moderated stepwise regression. The results of the study were as follows: First, appearance management of elder people was significantly related to psychological adaptation and social connectedness. Second, internet shopping experience moderated between appearance management and social connectedness. Third, internet shopping experience is not a moderator variable on between appearance management and psychological adaptation, it just was a influential factor on psychological adaptation. Based on these results, it suggests that there are strong needs of approaching of practical and political interventions to development internet shopping system for social connectedness and psychological adaptation of the elderly in future aging society.
Marine Disaster Detection Using the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI)

Recently, harmful algae (e.g., red tide) has damaged human and marine ecosystems. To address this, a response system should be developed to quickly cope with these ocean disasters. However, it is difficult to simultaneously monitor the vast ocean areas. Here, a marine disaster detection system can be developed through a convergence between the satellite-based ocean color remote sensing and the marine sensor network. The system architecture is divided into two steps: first, the system detects ocean anomalies in real-time using the satellite-based techniques, and secondly, the detected disaster information is transferred to the ships via the marine sensor networks. In this paper, we only focused on the first step and the second step is reserved for future work. Although the polar orbit satellite-based ocean color sensor platforms (e.g., MODIS, MERIS, and SeaWifs) can be used to simultaneously monitor the vast ocean areas, they are unsuitable for capturing subtle changes on a geographically equivalent area. On the other hand, the Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), the world’s first ocean color remote sensor platform operated on a geostationary orbit, receives ocean color data around the Northeast Asia region every hour, eight times a day. Therefore, GOCI can be more effectively utilized to observe subtle changes and to detect anomalies in ocean environments in real-time. In this paper, we attempted to build a system to monitor marine disasters by detecting ocean anomalies using the ocean color data derived from GOCI. This system directly compares the test spectrum vectors (i.e. anomaly candidates) to a predefined reference spectrum vector (i.e. a target anomaly) through the cosine similarity. The experimental result showed that the proposed system could efficiently detect the disasters (e.g., the red tide) on the ocean environments.
Trust and Risk based Access Control and Access Control Constraints

Access control in dynamic environments needs the ability to provide more access opportunities of information to users, while also ensuring protection information from malicious users. Trust and risk are essential factors and can be combined together in access control decision-making to meet the above requirement. In this paper, we propose the combination of the trust and risk in access control to balance information accessibility and protection. Access control decision is made on the basis of trustworthiness of users and risk value of permissions. We use potential relations between users and relations between permissions in access control. Our approach not only provides more access opportunities for trustworthy users in accessing permissions, but also enforces traditional access control constraints such as Chinese Wall policy and Separation of Duty (SoD) of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model in an effective way.

NTIS는 세계 최초의 국가 R&D 정보 지식 포털으로 서비스 활용도와 인지도 제고를 위하여 웹진을 활용하고자 한다. 본 논문에서는 공공기관의 웹진 운영 현황과 웹진 운영에 대한 이용자 의견을 살펴보고 NTIS 웹진 제작 방안에 대하여 논의하고자 한다.
