        In response to the evolving landscape of remote collaboration, this project introduces a dynamic interaction rendering framework, leveraging the Double 3 robot as a pivotal element. Our goal is to facilitate seamless collaboration in digital twin environments across diverse domains. The system allows remote control of the Double 3, enabling users to navigate, inspect, and interact with the local environment in real-time. Through sensor data from the robot, users share expertise, transcending physical distances. Our innovative framework redefines collaboration, emphasizing teamwork and problem-solving in digital twin spaces. Contributions include realtime updates of the robots perspective in the digital twin and enhanced avatar motion using Azure Kinect, overcoming the uncanny valley. This initiative empowers users to actively engage in distant environments, overcoming the limitations of physical presence.

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We synthesized uniform FA<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB>MA<SUB>1-<I>x</I> </SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> perovskite films with a single α phase by a two-step process combined with a dynamically dispensed spin-coating technique. It uses the continuous dropping of precursor solutions with a constant CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>I (MAI)/HC(NH<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB>I (FAI) concentration enabling the kinetically controlled grain growth. Dynamic coating cycles are also changed to facilitate a cation-exchange process, control the degree of the mutual inter-mixing between formamidinium lead triiodide (FAPbI<SUB>3</SUB>) and methylammonium lead triiodide (MAPbI<SUB>3</SUB>) and examine the formation process and properties of the mixed perovskite films formed under the excess MA/FA cation environment, which has not been clarified so far. Notably, without additional solvent washing steps, FA<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB>MA<SUB>1-<I>x</I> </SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> films are adjustable in composition, pinhole-free, and have various grain sizes depending on the coating cycles. Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) synthesized from FA<SUB> <I>x</I> </SUB>MA<SUB>1-<I>x</I> </SUB>PbI<SUB>3</SUB> films with two cycles of the dynamic spin coating have achieved a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 18.50% with an average PCE of 17.06 ± 0.42%, which shows much-improved performance as well as reproducibility compared with 14.79 ± 1.82% obtained from the conventional static spin-coating method.       • Solution-processed flexible planar perovskite solar cells: A strategy to enhance efficiency by controlling the ZnO electron transfer layer, PbI<sub>2</sub> phase, and CH<sub>3</sub>NH<sub>3</sub>PbI<sub>3</sub> morphologies

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This paper reports a synergistic strategy to enhance the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of flexible planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs) by controlling the thickness of the ZnO electron transport layer (ETL), PbI<SUB>2</SUB> phase, and size/morphology of the perovskite (MAPbI<SUB>3</SUB>) absorber layer. To optimize the size/morphology of MAPbI<SUB>3</SUB> via a two-step spin coating process, various volumes of CH<SUB>3</SUB>NH<SUB>3</SUB>I precursor solutions with a constant concentration were continuously coated, which greatly affected the grain growth condition of the MAPbI<SUB>3</SUB>. In addition, the remnant PbI<SUB>2</SUB> phase in the MAPbI<SUB>3</SUB>, which acted as a recombination barrier, was simultaneously controlled.       • Exposure data to facial makeup cosmetic products in Korean

        Backgrounds: Ingredients of cosmetic products (CPs) are able to pass in variable amount across the skin and mucosa. In particular, facial makeup products contain variety of probably hazard compounds such as colorant dyes, heavy metals, preservatives etc. To investigate the exposure data of 10 widely used facial makeup products, realistic exposure assessment study was undertaken. Subjects and method: 358 women and 79 men, aged 15-59 years, who use the facial makeup CPs of interest regularly, were recruited nationwide within 5 metropolitan cities in Korea. Essential information about the amounts of product applied and the frequency of use over a two week period. 10 facial make up CPs including liquid foundation(BB cream), lipstick, eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc.Men were investigated for lip gloss, lip balm, and liquid foundation. The subjects recorded detailed daily usage information over the 2 weeks period. Products were weighed before and after the study period to determine the total amount of product used. Result: 20’s aged women used more lip gloss, lip balm, and eyeliner. 30’s aged women used more eyeshadow. 40-50’s aged women used more amounts of lipstick. The daily use amount of liquid foundation (0.161g), lipstick (0.010g), eye shadow (0.007g) was lower than that of European and American previous studies. The daily useamount of eyeliner (0.006g) was higher than that of European report. Men used similar amount of BB creamand less amount of lip gloss and lip balm comparing with women. Conclusion: We provide provisional database containing exposure information of facial makeup CPs. It can be a fundamental cornerstone for makeup CPs safety assessment.

        Measuring the Effectiveness of an Ecosystem Service to Regulate Air Quality in Wetland, South Korea

        This study aimed to verify the suitability of an air quality regulating service for wetland ecosystem service evaluation by investigating the effect of reducing particulate matter (PM) on vegetation in wetlands. We installed tunnel-type experimental plots at Yonghwasil Pond in the National Institute of Ecology and set up the input and output of PM by applying the natural vegetation of the relevant wetlands. We took measurements by replicating four different conditions four times each. The air quality regulating service in each experimental plot was measured based on PM10 concentration; further, the difference between the input and the output concentration of PM passing through the Phragmites australis community tunnel was measured using a light scattering method. For the Phragmites australis community in the outdoor conditions and bare land, the PM concentration was measured with the same specifications as tunnel-type experimental plots without setting up the input and output. For the tunnel-type experimental plots, PM10 concentration was significantly lower in the output than in the input. Furthermore, in the outdoor conditions, a comparison between the Phragmites australis community and bare land showed that the concentration was relatively low in the former than in the latter. This confirmed the PM reducing effect due to the blockage and absorption of PM depending on the growth of Phragmites australis. Based on the results of this study, we assessed the air quality regulating service in wetlands as an evaluation indicator.

        Provisioning service, which is one of the ecosystem service functions, means goods and services such as food and fuel that people get from ecosystem. Provisioning functions are closely related to the primary industry, a sector of economy. Excessive demand and use of human society can cause trade-offs among regulation, cultural, and supporting services. Therefore, it is important to perform evaluation ecosystem services periodically and to monitor the time series fluctuations to identify the impact of provisioning services on other ecosystem services (trade-off) and to maintain sustainable provisioning service. When it comes to the precise assessment of provisioning service, it is necessary to get the statistical data and standardize indicators and methods. In this study, indicators and methods, which are applicable to the spatial level of national-local-protected areas, were derived through literature analysis and expert survey. The result of this study implies that provisioning services measurement by spatial level improve the efficiency of the establishment of environmental conservation plans by whose purpose.

        Ablation of the deubiquitinase USP15 ameliorates nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis

        Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) occurs due to the accumulation of fat in the liver, leading to fatal liver diseases such as nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) and cirrhosis. Elucidation of the molecular mechanisms underlying NAFLD is critical for its prevention and therapy. Here, we observed that deubiquitinase USP15 expression was upregulated in the livers of mice fed a high-fat diet (HFD) and liver biopsies of patients with NAFLD or NASH. USP15 interacts with lipid-accumulating proteins such as FABPs and perilipins to reduce ubiquitination and increase their protein stability. Furthermore, the severity of NAFLD induced by an HFD and NASH induced by a fructose/palmitate/cholesterol/trans-fat (FPC) diet was significantly ameliorated in hepatocyte-specific USP15 knockout mice. Thus, our findings reveal an unrecognized function of USP15 in the lipid accumulation of livers, which exacerbates NAFLD to NASH by overriding nutrients and inducing inflammation. Therefore, targeting USP15 can be used in the prevention and treatment of NAFLD and NASH.

        Twenty Years of Regeneration Process for Tree Species in Burnt Pine Forests with Different Severity and Initial Regeneration

        The East Coast Fire in April 2000 was a recorded large-scale fre in Korea (23,794 ha) which caused a ferce debate over mandatory reforestation policy. The regeneration process of tree species at the stand and species level was tracked for 20 years by permanent plots according to burn severity and degree of initial regeneration in prefre Pinus densifora forests. Fire activated sprouting vigorously in the frst two years, forming single-cohort tree clump populations. The abundance of prefre resprouter trees and burn severity greatly infuenced the process. The high survival and fast growth of the initial clumps contributed to the stand development. Quercus mongolica was dominated with large clump size initially, while Quercus variabilis increased the dominance with a faster growth rate over time. Pinus densifora, obligate seeder, was established from about 8 years later only in the low-regenerating stands. After 20 years, the canopy of the prefre pine forests shifted and diverged to three types. Pinus stand was maintained at light-burn stands, while Quercus-dominated or Pinus–Quercus mixed stand was formed at severe-burn stands. The qualitative and quantitative characteristics of initial stands mostly persisted in stands for 20 years, suggesting a good predictor for the structural development of later stands. This provide good information for establishing a restoration policy in the early stage after fre.

        유자(Citrus junos)씨와 유자씨 유지의 메탄올 추출물에 의한 HT-29 대장암 세포 생장 억제 효과 및 유효 성분 분석

        본 연구의 목적은 유자씨와 유자씨 유지로부터 HT-29 암세포생장 억제효과를 확인하고 주요 원인 물질을 확인하는 것이다. 유자씨, 헥산 추출 유자씨 유지, 냉압착 유자씨 유지로부터 60% 메탄올을 이용하여 추출물(각각 ES, EHO, ECO)을 얻었다. 추출물의 성분은 HPLC-MS를 이용하여 확인하였다. ES, EHO, ECO를 HT-29 세포에 처리하여 생장 억제 효과를 확인한 결과, EHO와 ECO가 유의적인 효과가 있었다(p<0.05). 반면, ES와 리모닌, 노밀린은 24시간과 48시간 처리 후에 암세포 생장 억제 효과가 없었다(p>0.05). 유자씨 유지 추출물의 암세포 생장 억제효과에 주요 역할을 하는 성분을 탐색하기 위해 제조용 LC로 EHO와 ECO를 분획하여 이 분획물의 암세포 생장 억제 효과와 조성을 확인하였다. 분획물 중에서 EHO의 3개 분획물과 ECO의 2개 분획물이 유의적인 HT-29 세포 생장 억제 효과가 있었다(p<0.05). 이 5개 분획물의 HPLC-MS 분석 결과, 아이소핌피넬린, 버갑텐, 이찬젠신이 주요 성분일 것으로 추정되었다. 아이소핌피넬린, 버갑텐, 이찬젠신을 HT-29 세포에 처리한 결과, 이찬젠신이 유의적인 생장 억제 효과가 있었고(p<0.05), 아이소핌피넬린과 버갑텐은 약간의 생장 억제 효과가 있었으나 유의적이지는 않았다(p>0.05). 따라서 아이소핌피넬린, 버갑텐, 이찬젠신이 유자씨 유지 내의 주요 암세포 생장 억제 물질이며, 이 중에서 이찬젠신이 그 활성이 가장 높은 물질인 것으로 추정한다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-proliferative effect of methanolic extracts from Citrus junos (yuja) seeds and yuja seed oils against HT-29 human colon cancer cells and to identify the key compounds responsible for this effect. Extracts from yuja seeds, yuja seed oil prepared using hexane, and cold-pressed yuja seed oil were prepared using 60% methanol (ES, EHO, and ECO, respectively). The key compounds in the extracts were determined using HPLC-MS. Among the extracts, EHO and ECO inhibited proliferation of HT-29 cells. EHO and ECO were fractionated using preparative LC and the bioactive compounds were determined. Five of the fractions showed a significant antiproliferative effect and the main compounds in the fractions were isopimpinellin, bergapten, and ichangensin. These compounds showed anti-proliferative effects on HT-29 cells when treated individually, and ichangensin showed the highest anti-proliferative activity. These results suggest that these compounds may be responsible for the anti-cancer effect of EHO and ECO.
