“Did You Enjoy Dining Alone?” An Examination of Solo Diners
Ha,Joo-Yeon,Park,Jeong-Yeol,Robin M,Back 한국식공간학회 2020 식공간연구 Vol.15 No.3
As the number of people spending time alone continues to increase, more people are engaging in solo consumption experiences, resulting in dining alone at a restaurant becoming more prevalent. Restaurants have responded in a number of ways to provide accommodations for solo diners’preferences, including the provision of different table layouts such as small tables, bar seating, and communal tables. However, a close examination on the impact of such table arrangements on solo diners’ behavioral intentions is lacking. This study was designed to examine the influence of table layouts, in conjunction with three restaurant quality dimensions (food quality, service quality, and atmospheric quality), on solo diners’ positive emotions and situational loneliness, which ultimately influences behavioral intentions. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze data collected from 286 United States residents who had dined alone at a restaurant within the previous two weeks. Results suggested that food quality and service quality stimulated positive emotions, while food quality decreased situational loneliness. Bar seating increased positive emotions and decreased loneliness. Positive emotions increased both revisit intentions in general and revisit intentions as a solo diner. Loneliness, on the other hand, was shown to decrease revisit intentions as a solo diner.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the structural relationship among relationship marketing, relationship quality, and behavioral intention toward children sports centers. Research design, data, and methodology: To achieve this purpose, this study employed a convenience sampling method via a questionnaire dissemination. A total of 427 responses were collected from the parents of six children sports centers. Among those, 21 responses were excluded as they were not completed, leaving 406 valid data. For hypotheses test, the collected data was computed in SPSS 27.0 and AMOS 27.0, and analyzed with frequency analysis, correlation analysis, reliability analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling analysis. Results: First, relationship marketing had a positive influence on relationship quality. Second, relationship marketing had a positive influence on behavioral intention. Third, relationship quality had a positive influence on behavioral intention. Conclusions: Results showed that relationship marketing had a positive influence on relationship quality and behavioral intention. Moreover, relationship quality had a positive influence on behavioral intention. These findings indicate a positive function of relationship marketing in building psychological and behavioral outcomes in the context of children sport industry. Given this, implications of relationships among research variables were discussed.

Byeong-Dae Goh,Jong-yeol Park,Eun-Ha Jang,Ki-Jin Park,Byeong-Sung Yoon,Jin-Sun Jang 한국유기농업학회 2011 韓國有機農業學會誌 Vol.19 No.S
In order to produce the organic foods in accord with intemational standard, organic seeds should be used in organic farming. This study was conducted to establish the stable production of organic seed of waxy com by examining the growing characteristics, seed yield, and the economy for seed production by organic farming. The optimal sowing timing for organic seed production of waxy com hybrid was within 10 days of the 1st of May with yield of 88-90% of conventional seed production. The optimal planting density was 41,600 plants/ha (80x30 cm) for organic seed production of waxy corn. The weight of 100 seeds and seed productivity increased at the planting ratio of 2:1 mother plant:male plant. Growth and seed production were improved by removing male plant at 7-10 days after silking. Organic ferlilizer (mixed oil cake) was applied at a rate of 4-6 Mg/ha before sowing. 81ack plastic mulching was used for weed control. In addition, sex pheromone trap and bio-control agents were used for safe pest control and low labour cost.
Development of field corn varieties for adaptation of Primorsky Krai in Russia
Si-Hwan Ryu,Ki-Jin Park,Jong-Yeol Park,Eun-Ha Jang,Young-Ho Seo,Woo-Sik Yong,Sang-Min Lee,Kyung-Hee Kim 한국육종학회 2013 한국육종학회 심포지엄 Vol.2013 No.07
We are importing corn grains more than eight million tons every year, and self-sufficiency rate of corn is less than one percent. It is not easy to increase field corn production in Korea because of limited arable land. For this reason, many companies have been interesting overseas agriculture for corn production. But they don’t have enough suitable variety for the target area. Our objective is to develop field corn varieties for adaptation in Primorsky Krai which is the southeasternmost region of Russia. This project has been collaborated with Dr. Huk-Ha Lee in Seoul National Univ. and planted three times in Primorsky Krai since 2011. Planting materials for this project were developed in Maize Research Institute. 74 hybrids in 2011, 76 in 2012, and 80 in 2013 were planted for regional performance test. Primorsky Krai is a colder area and has less frost-free days than Korea. Several hybrids have shown good performance, but lots of materials developed in Korea could not fully ripened in 2011 because of late planting and early frost. In 2012, we mainly selected early flowering materials as well as picked materials from first year. The silking date of our materials was later than local commercial varieties, but some our hybrids had good characteristics and high yield. Among them, we picked two hybrids and planted them in Ussuriysk in Primorsky Krai for field demonstration test. We expect some of the selected hybrids can be candidate varieties for improvement of corn production at overseas agricultural production base.

The goals of palliative chemotherapy are to improve overall survival and the quality of life through relief of symptoms. The other hand, chemotherapy has many side effects such as myelosupression, neuropathy, gastro-intestinal symptom and infertility. In many known side effects of chemotherapy, bleeding occurs in approximately 6-10% of patients with advanced cancer. Most of bleeding is local vessel damage and systemic process such as disseminatated intravascular coagulopathy, abnormalities in platelet function or number after chemotherapy. There is no article about chemotherapy response related bleeding. However, bleeding may occur in chemo-sensitive tumor like lymphoma and in pre radiotherapy patient such as head and neck cancer, rectal cancer after chemotherapy. There are three cases of pure chemotherapy response related bleeding without other bleeding condition. One is pre-radiotherapy given maxillary sinus cancer, another is chemo sensitive gastric cancer and the last case is pre-radiotherapy given rectal cancer. These all cases had a massive bleeding after chemotherapy without other bleeding condition and successful management variable method such as embolization, endoscopy, and thrombotic agent.
A rare case of duodenal small cell carcinoma
( Ha Yeol Park ),( Choon Hae Chung ),( Chi Young Park ),( Sang Gon Park ) 대한내과학회 2011 대한내과학회 추계학술대회 Vol.2011 No.1
The length of small intestine is about 75% of total gastro-intestinal tract, but the incidence of malignacy is account for 2% of it. Whereas most of small intestinal malignancy is duodenal cancer, and the most common histologic type is adenocarcinoma. Duodenal small cell carcinoma is extremely rare. We had a case of a 66-year-old female who visited the hospital to evaluation for RUQ discomfort. Endoscopy was done and large ulcerative lesion is founded at duodenum. The histologic finding was small cell carcinoma. We performed Abdomen-pelvis CT and bladder wall thickening was seen. For confirm the lesion, cystoscopic biopsy of bladder wall was done and pathologic finding was small cell carcinoma, too. In positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT), we can find multiple metastasis to duodenum, bladder, lung and brain. Finally we diagnosed duodenal small cell carcinoma with multiple metastasis. After 4-cycles of chemotherpy, Irinotecan and Cisplatin, the mass size was markly decreased. However she was expired due to unknown origin infection. We present a extremly rare case of duodenal small cell caricnoma with bladder wall, lung and brain.

Kidney transplantation is the treatment of choice for end-stage renal disease. A successful kidney transplant improves the quality of life and reduces the mortality risk of patients, as compared to maintenance dialysis. The number of patients awaiting kidney transplantation has steadily increased, and the gap between allograft supply and demand continues to widen despite initiatives to expand the use of nonstandard deceased-donor allografts. The use of organs from living donors is one strategy to address the need for transplants. A medical, surgical, and psychosocial evaluation is mandatory prior to living kidney donation to ensure that the donor candidate is in good health and has normal kidney function, is not a risk to the recipient with respect to transmission of infections and malignancy, and will not face unacceptable risks after donation.
