      • A Technique and software of analysis and control for measurement process

Fengyu, Zhao,Xu, Jichao,Bergman, Bo 한국품질경영학회 2000 The Asian Journal on Quality Vol.1 No.1

In this paper, a two-section method for measuring is introduced and the variation sources of measurement process are analysed. Measuring is a special process in general process. Various variation source must be firstly decomposed so that the statistical distribution law of measuring process can be established, and then implement monitoring control of the measuring process. A special method to obtain the measuring variation is discussed, and a monitoring control technique for measuring process is studied based statistical distribution. Towards the end, we briefly introduce software design for the analysis and control of a measurement process.

The closure time of the easternmost segment of the Solonker-Xar Moron-Changchun-Yanji Suture: determined by the Yangjin’gou granite porphyry in the Hunchun Region, northeast China

        Tuofei Zhao,Bo Peng,Fengyue Sun 한국지질과학협의회 2019 Geosciences Journal Vol.23 No.6

The timing of closure of the paleo-Asian Ocean in northeastern China remains contentious. To investigate this problem and better constrain the final closure time of the paleo-Asian Ocean, we report the geochemical characteristics, zircon U-Pb chronology, and Hf isotopes of the Yangjin’gou granite porphyry in the Hunchun region in the easternmost segment of the Solonker-Xar Moron-Changchun-Yanji Suture (SXCYS). The zircon U-Pb age of the Yangjin’gou granite porphyry is 247.1 ± 1.5 Ma (mean square weighted deviation = 0.7). Initial εHf(t) values are high and positive, ranging from +11.2 to +13.3 with an average of +12.7, and the two-stage Hf isotope model age TDM2 is 520–350 Ma. The geochemical characteristics of the granite porphyry indicate that the rocks belong to the calc-alkaline series and are rich in Si, alkali, and Al, and poor in Ca. These rocks also have a rare-earth element distribution pattern that is smooth and inclined down to the right in spider diagrams, weak negative to positive Eu anomalies (Eu/Eu* = 0.83–1.01), moderate enrichment of large-ion lithophile elements (e.g., Cs, Ba, Rb, and K) and radioactive incompatible elements (e.g., Th and U), and depletion in high field strength elements (e.g., Ti, Nb, and Ta). The geochemical and isotope data of the rocks indicate that the Yangjin’gou granite porphyry is a high-Ba-Sr granite and that the primitive magma of the Yangjin’gou rocks originated from the partial melting of juvenile crust. Given the location of the Yangjin’gou granite prophyry in the Hunchun region in the easternmost segment of the SXCYS, these rocks are inferred to have formed in a tectonic setting that changed from continental collision to post-collision extension at ~247 Ma, clearly later than the middle Permian closure time of the paleo-Asian Ocean along the middle segment of the North China Craton. The age of ~247 Ma, or a little earlier, represents the closure time of the paleo-Asian Ocean in the easternmost segment of the SXCYS.

      • Economic Design of the Specification for Geometrical Quality Characteristic

Ma, Yizhong,Zhao, Fengyu,Xu, Jichao The Korean Society for Quality Management 2001 The Asian Journal on Quality Vol.2 No.1

The economic design of specification limits must be determined on an economic basis where we minimize total loss to society, which consists of both the producer and the consumer. Economic specification limits have been developed based on the assumption that the quality characteristic is normally distributed. Unfortunately, the assumption is not to meet some practical cases. In this paper, some non-normal distributions are considered for quality characteristic with geometrical features. An economic model for selecting the optimum specification limits on the basis of minimizing total cost is introduced. A case study is presented to illustrate the application in practice.

Discovery of the Early Paleozoic Akechukesai high-Mg diorites in the western segment of East Kunlun Orogenic Belt and its constraints on the mechanism of break-off from Proto-Tethys oceanic subducted slab

        Chao Wang,Fengyue Sun,Dongwei Liu,Lei Zuo,Tuofei Zhao,Jiaming Yan 한국지질과학협의회 2022 Geosciences Journal Vol.26 No.1

High-Mg andesites (HMAs) and their cognate intrusive rocks constitute volumetrically very small proportions of the total earth, and are mainly distributed along the edges of convergent plates. Petrogenetic studies can provide possible solutions for discrepancies in the geodynamics and subduction zone evolution. This paper presents the first ever reports of the newly discovered high-Mg diorite in Akechukesai area, the western part of the East Kunlun Orogenic Belt, and provides a reference for the evolutionary history and subduction mechanism of the Proto-Tethys Ocean. Akechukesai high-Mg diorites yielded a weighted mean zircon U-Pb dating age of 427.3 ± 2.3Ma (Middle Silurian). Results of the geochemical analyses show that the high-Mg diorites were high-K calc-alkaline series with the SiO2 content ranging 50.40 to 55.41 wt%. They are characterized by high values of Mg# (67–77), high MgO (6.92–10.58 wt%), TiO2 (0.53–0.87 wt%), Cr (286–615 ppm), Ni (61–124 ppm), Ba (570–927 ppm) contents, and low FeOtotal/MgO ratios (0.54–0.89). Furthermore, they exhibit nearly flat right-declined rare-earth element (REE) patterns with slight LREE enrichment. The samples are enriched in large ion lithophile elements (e.g., Ba, Rb, and Th) and depleted in high field strength elements (e.g., Ta, Nb, and Ti). These geochemical features are analogous to the sanukitic high-Mg andesites. The mean value of the initial εHf(t) is –1.3, indicating that the source is enriched mantle. The values of Rb/Cs, Ba/La, and La/Sm ratios suggest that subducting sediments formed an important component of the magmatic source. The presence of water-bearing minerals such as amphibole and biotite indicate a water-rich and oxygen-rich primitive magma system. Petrogenetic analysis indicates that the Akechukesai high-Mg diorites probably formed by melts and aqueous fluids produced from partial melting of the subducting sediments interacting with mantle peridotites. We hypothesize that, after the closure of the Proto-Tethys Ocean Basin in the Middle Silurian, the deep subducted slab broke-off and formed a slab window, asthenospheric material upwelled heating the subducting sediments and causing them to melt. Thus, we suggest that the emplacement of the Akechukesai high-Mg diorites mark the commencement of post-collisional magmatism.

New Analysis of Reduced-Version of Piccolo in the Single-Key Scenario

( Ya Liu ),( Liang Cheng ),( Fengyu Zhao ),( Chunhua Su ),( Zhiqiang Liu ),( Wei Li ),( Dawu Gu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.9

The lightweight block cipher Piccolo adopts Generalized Feistel Network structure with 64 bits of block size. Its key supports 80 bits or 128 bits, expressed by Piccolo-80 or Piccolo-128, respectively. In this paper, we exploit the security of reduced version of Piccolo from the first round with the pre-whitening layer, which shows the vulnerability of original Piccolo. As a matter of fact, we first study some linear relations among the round subkeys and the properties of linear layer. Based on them, we evaluate the security of Piccolo-80/128 against the meet-in-the-middle attack. Finally, we attack 13 rounds of Piccolo-80 by applying a 5-round distinguisher, which requires 244 chosen plaintexts, 267.39 encryptions and 264.91 blocks, respectively. Moreover, we also attack 17 rounds of Piccolo-128 by using a 7-round distinguisher, which requires 244 chosen plaintexts, 2126 encryptions and 2125.49 blocks, respectively. Compared with the previous cryptanalytic results, our results are the currently best ones if considering Piccolo from the first round with the pre-whitening layer.

Production, purification and characterization of a milk clotting enzyme from Bacillus methanolicus LB-1

        Liu Li,Zhe Zheng,Xiao Zhao,Fengyu Wu,Jian Zhang,Zhen-Nai Yang 한국식품과학회 2019 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.28 No.4

Bacillus methanolicus LB-1 isolated from traditionalrice wine was found to produce a milk clottingenzyme (MCE), and its fermentation conditions wereoptimized using response surface methodology. Then theMCE was produced by ethanol precipitation, and furtherchromatography separation resulted in a 10.46-fold purificationwith a 59.28% recovery. The MCA (milk clottingactivity) of the purified MCE reached 597,310 ± 0.13 SU/g. The optimal temperature of the MCE was determined tobe 50 C and it was stable in the low temperature range of40–45 C. The MCE had an optimum pH of 6.5, and it wasstable under neutral conditions. Calcium chloride at theconcentration of 25 mM was found to be the most effectivestimulus. The MCE was identified by LC–MS to be aputative protein (ID I3EB99) containing 759 amino acidswith a molecular weight of 80.37 kDa and a pI of 9.23.

      • Fine control of titania deposition to prepare C@TiO2 composites and TiO2 hollow particles for photocatalysis and lithium-ion battery applications

        Ming, Jun,Wu, Yingqiang,Nagarajan, Srinivasan,Lee, Dong-Ju,Sun, Yang-Kook,Zhao, Fengyu The Royal Society of Chemistry 2012 Journal of materials chemistry Vol.22 No.41

<P>In this study, an effective method of slow hydrolization of metal alkoxide (<I>e.g.</I>, Ti(C4H9O)4) in an ethanol–water system was systematically investigated and used to finely control the deposition of titania on carbon colloids. A model of adsorption–hydrolization of precursors during the coating process was rationally built for the first time to interpret the usability of the method and facilitate its further extension. Using this strategy, titania in the form of supported nanocrystals or layers on carbon colloids (TiO2/C, C@TiO2) was successfully tailored. Meanwhile, finely dispersed hollow TiO2 nanoparticles with shells consisting of different crystalline structures were also prepared by varying the calcination conditions after removing the carbon cores. More importantly, the effects of the crystalline and nano/macrostructures of the as-prepared TiO2 samples in photocatalysis and lithium-ion battery applications were analyzed in detail. The preliminary results show that anatase–rutile TiO2 hollow particles demonstrate a higher catalytic activity in the photo-degradation of rhodamine B than anatase TiO2 hollow particles, powders, and P25. However, in the case of Li-ion battery applications, the anatase TiO2 hollow particles exhibited better performance as anode materials with high capacities of around 190 mA h g−1, 140 mA h g−1, and 120 mA h g−1 at current densities of 60 mA g−1, 120 mA g−1, and 300 mA g−1, respectively, accompanied by stable cyclability.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Fine control of the titania deposition to prepare C@TiO2 composites and TiO2 hollow particles for photocatalysis and lithium-ion battery applications. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=c2jm34106a'> </P>
