        A Study on i-Fashion 3D Avatar's Consumer satisfaction & Comparison of 3D and Direct Masurement - Based of Domestic University Students

        This research is to understand customer satisfaction with virtual fitting based on a 3D body scanner and avatars as well as differences between avatars and the 'real me'. To this end, this research examined Korean college students to facilitate 3D body scanning, avatar generation and surveys. The author used 3D body scan data with direct measurements to identify differences between the 3D body scan data-based 'my avatar' and 'real me' in the virtual dress fitting system. The survey results on 'the level of customer awareness on 3D body scanner' found that the majority of both genders did not know about it and indicated a lower usability to incorporate IT technology into the fashion industry. The question in the 3D body scanning and avatar found an affirmative attitude. Satisfaction levels on the 3D avatars' similarity with 'own body' and garment fitting were positive and indicated a need for further technological improvements to express the avatars identical to customers' own body. More research is necessary for the accuracy of sizes for 3D body scanning that measure body sizes while wearing clothes. Avatars based on such datamay be less similar to 'own body' and cause customer dissatisfaction. Thus, further technology development is required to narrow gaps using data to make avatars that provide more accurate virtual fitting simulation services to customers.

      • BubR1 acetylation at prometaphase is required for modulating APC/C activity and timing of mitosis

        <P>Regulation of BubR1 is central to the control of APC/C activity. We have found that BubR1 forms a complex with PCAF and is acetylated at lysine 250. Using mass spectrometry and acetylated BubR1-specific antibodies, we have confirmed that BubR1 acetylation occurs at prometaphase. Importantly, BubR1 acetylation was required for checkpoint function, through the inhibition of ubiquitin-dependent BubR1 degradation. BubR1 degradation began before the onset of anaphase. It was noted that the pre-anaphase degradation was regulated by BubR1 acetylation. Degradation of an acetylation-mimetic form, BubR1–K250Q, was inhibited and chromosome segregation in cells expressing BubR1–K250Q was markedly delayed. By contrast, the acetylation-deficient mutant, BubR1–K250R, was unstable, and mitosis was accelerated in BubR1–K250R-expressing cells. Furthermore, we found that APC/C–Cdc20 was responsible for BubR1 degradation during mitosis. On the basis of our collective results, we propose that the acetylation status of BubR1 is a molecular switch that converts BubR1 from an inhibitor to a substrate of the APC/C complex, thus providing an efficient way to modulate APC/C activity and mitotic timing.</P>

      • THE IMPACT OF HUMOR IN ANNOUNCEMENTS ON SERVICE CUSTOMER’S INTENTION TO COMPLY WITH THE ANNOUNCEMENT

        Service customers influence the quality of service outcome through their role in the service delivery process. As a way of informing customers of their role and motivating customers to play the role well, service providers often use auditory announcements. However, how to design an effective announcement for service customers still remains largely under-studied. To fill this gap in the research, the current study examines the impact of humor in a service announcement on customer intention to comply with the announced message. Specifically, we examine the impact of two humor design factors: location of humor in the announcement and the degree of message-relatedness of the humor. Further, we explore the structure of the impact of humor on customer intention to comply. We propose that the two design elements of humor will first influence the degree of customer perceptions of funniness of the announcement, which will influence the degrees of customer attention to the announcement and customer memory of the message, which will eventually influence customer intention to comply with the message. To empirically examine our hypotheses, we conducted a two (positions of humor: beginning versus ending of the announcement) by two (message relatedness of humor: strong versus weak) between-subject experiment. The context of our experiment was college students’ course evaluation. In the message, listeners were asked to participate in an online evaluation of the course which they were taking. Pre-recorded messages were played to students at the beginning of five different sections of one particular course at a business school in a major university in Seoul, Korea. The results of an ANCOVA analysis demonstrated the significant impact of both humor position in the message and the message-relatedness of the humor. A structural equation modeling analysis showed that perceived funniness influence customer attention to the announcement but not customer memory of the message. The degree of customer attention, in turn, influenced customer intention to comply with the announced message.

        1;1- 2;6세 한국 아동의 표현어휘 연구

        본 연구는 부모보고서를 통해 1;1- 2;6세 한국 아동이 각 연령단계에서 사용하는 어휘의 목록과 평균어휘수를 조사하고, 평균어휘수가 집단간 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 또한 수집된 자료를 분석하여 한국 아동의 초기 어휘습득이 언어보편성가설과 언어특정성가설 중 어느 것을 지지하는지 살펴보았다. 연구대상은 서울·경기 지역에 거주하는 1;1- 2;6세 아동 180명을 대상으로 하였는데, 3개월 간격으로 각 연령집단별로 30명씩, 남녀비율은 1:1이었다. 횡단연구 결과, 연령집단별로 평균어휘수가 1;1- 1;3세에 13개, 1;4- 1;6세에 54개, 1;7- 1;9세에 166개, 1;10- 2;0세에 256개, 2;1- 2;3세에 326개, 2;4- 2;6세에 488개로 나타났다. 또한 생활연령 집단과 언어연령 집단별 명사와 술어의 산출율을 살펴보았을 때 모든 연령집단에서 명사의 비율이 50% 이상으로 술어의 비율보다 훨씬 높게 나타났다. 종단연구 결과 아동별로 명사의 산출율이 술어의 산출율 보다 커 50% 이상을 유지하고 있었다. Choi & Gopnik(1995)의 명사, 술어 증가 기준을 사용하여 총 어휘수가 100개 이하 아동에게 적용하였을 때도 명사 증가가 동사 증가보다 유의미하게 빠르게 나타났다. 따라서 한국 아동에게도 언어보편성(명사선호성) 가설이 지켜지고 있는 것을 알 수 있었다. The r es ults showed that noun spur t was fas ter than that of pr edicates . The total number of nouns and their pr opor tions to total wor ds wer e far gr eater than thos e of verbs in all age gr oups. It was als o found that the pr opor tions of nouns wer e mor e than 50% r elative to the pr opor tions of verbs. The r es ults of the s tudy definitely s uppor ted the language - univers ality hypothes is.

        손자녀와 동거하는 중고령자의 손자녀 돌봄시간과 삶의 질

        본 연구는 통계청의 2014년 생활시간 조사자료를 이용하여 9세 이하 손자녀와 함께 거주하는 중고령자 405명(남성 143명, 여성 262명)의 1) 손자녀 돌봄에 사용하는 시간을 측정하고 2) 이 시간분배에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하고 3) 손자녀 돌봄에 사용하는 시간과 삶의 질의 관계에 대해 연구하였다. 특히 이 연구문제들에 대해 남녀 차이에 대해 주목하였다. 연구결과 돌봄시간의 경우 하루평균 남성 중고령자들은 40.7분, 여성 중고령자들은 79.3분을 사용하고 있었다. 전체 중고령자 중 돌봄 행위를 한 중고령자에 한정해서 보면 남성 중고령자(전체 남성 중 46.9%)는 86.9분, 여성 중고령자(전체 여성 중 63.4%)는 125.2분으로 나타났다. 시간 분배에 영향을 미치는 요인은 남성 중고령자의 경우 돌봄 필요 여부와 취업여부가, 여성의 경우 연령, 취업여부, 가구내 성인 수, 가구 내 10대청소년의 수가 돌봄시간에 영향을 미쳤다. 삶의 질을 보면 손자녀 돌봄이 조부에게는 삶에 대한 불만족, 피곤 정도, 시간 부족 등의 면에서 아무런 영향을 미치지 못했는데 비해 조모에게는 피곤 정도, 시간 부족 등이 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 결과는 손자녀 돌봄에 대해 느끼는 책임감의 차이에서 연유할것으로 유추할 수 있다. Using the data from the 2014 Korean Time Use Study, this study 1) measures the time the elderly living with grandchildren spend on caring for grandchildren, 2) examines the factors affecting these amounts of time distribution and 3) investigates the relationship between the time spent for caring and their life satisfaction. In particular, the differences between men and women were examined in these research questions. We find that men s grandchildren care time was 40.7 minutes on average and women s was 79.3 minutes, and the average time of actors who took care of children for more than 10 minutes out of 24 hours was 86.9 minutes (46.9%) for men and 125.2 minutes (63.4%) for women. We also find that factors influencing the distribution of time were the need for care and employment status in the case of men, and the age, employment status, number of adults in the household and number of teens in the household in the case of women. Caring for grandchildren had no effect on grandfathers in terms of dissatisfaction with life, level of fatigue, and lack of time. However, it affected grandmothers in terrms of level of fatigue and lack of time
