        The Approaches of Positive Experience Design on IoT Intelligent Products

        This paper proposes a positive experience design approach for Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent products to improve users’ subjective well-being in the fields of artificial intelligence and big data. First, the authors selected six target users and taking the Xiaomi IoT intelligent products for the research objects and conducted a thorough observation on how the target users used IoT intelligent products in their own homes over two weeks via a home-visiting interview, group diary, and focus group. Second, they constructed an individual activities table for the participants' IoT intelligent product experience using a hierarchical task analysis (HTA). Third, two researchers sorted out the sub-tasks of happiness in the HTA table. Finally, the authors found the positive experience design approach of IoT intelligent products. The positive experience design approach of IoT intelligent products is proposed from focusing on the personal pleasure experience to individual life meaningful design and group social relationship design, including individual pleasure experience, personal goal realization, group needs satisfaction and the harmony of group relations. The paper uses the two design examples of an interactive kettle and a harmonious chair to further discuss the feasibility of the design approach. In the era of big data, it is helpful for designers to use this design approach to improve the users' sense of sustainable pleasure, achievement perception of their future goal realization, and the well-being of the group’s social relationships.

      • Application of Expert Evaluation Method over the Brand of Internet Innovative Product Evaluation

        Purpose - The paper is analyzing an emerged phenomenon in innovative product design. That is focusing on the point of operating the brand over the Internet. It takes the Tai Huoniao as an example, analyzing its operating mode. Design/methodology/approach - The research employs a practical approach, performing a qualitative analysis of the evaluation by experts and the method of evaluation. Findings - The method of expert evaluation could bring a reasonable effect on the innovative product design, which is also useful to the detailed strategy. It is clear that the resulting main elements of the framework over the expert evaluation are strongly interrelated in the brand over the internet. Practical implications - In the way to imposing different rights on expert evaluation, could analyze the evaluation on different gradation, providing a more systematic approach to understanding how the innovative product sold over the Internet. Conclusion - Under the weighting on expert evaluation, not only could offer a consideration to designers and enterprise, but could also apply the data to supporting the innovative design, in order to satisfy the consumers’ pursuing. Recommendations - Based on the expert evaluation, it could lead the design process more rationally. The expert evaluation is an essential part in producing and consuming process.

        The Internet Design Framework for Improvement of Users’ Positive Emotions

        This study proposes an internet design framework for users to improve their positive emotions when they are in a negative mood. First, the literature review focuses on the definition of emotion, positive emotional design in internet experiences, and emotion regulation. Second, in order to construct an internet design framework that improves positive emotion, this paper adopts a qualitative analysis method to analyze 70 collected studies in the area of regulating emotion and stimulating positive emotions. Additionally, bibliometrics and statistics are conducted to summarize the framework and strategies. Third, two cases of internet design are presented: (a) Internet design that improves users' positive emotions is examined under the background of extreme rainstorm as an example; an applet service design is provided by case study; (b) in the context of COVID-19, we developed an Internet of things interactive design that improves users’ positive emotions. Fourth, the internet design framework and the results of the case studies are analyzed and discussed. Finally, an internet design framework is proposed to improve users’ positive emotions when they are in a negative mood, which includes the Detachment–empathy framework, External–protection framework, Ability–strengthen framework, Perspective–transformation framework, and Macro–cognitive framework. The framework can help designers to generate design ideas accurately and quickly when users are in a negative mood, to improve subjective well-being, and contribute to the development of internet experience design.

      • ANALYSIS AND APPLICATION OF THE PRODUCT DESIGN ELEMENTS BASED ON THE IMPLICIT

        Research from the life phenomenon which influenced by Christ and Tao, comparing the different culture of Christ and Tao, author analyzes the characteristics of implicit and explicit. Take the armchair and red blue Chair as examples, discusses the method of implicit product design elements. Implicit can be displayed from the inward compliant style, simple and elegant color, natural and comfortable material, exquisite craftsmanship, magnificent and ethereal emotion. Finally, the feasibility of implicit product design method is demonstrated by design cases.

        Effects of blue light on pigment biosynthesis of Monascus

        The influence of different illumination levels of blue light on the growth and intracellular pigment yields of Monascus strain M9 was investigated. Compared with darkness, constant exposure to blue light of 100 lux reduced the yields of six pigments, namely, rubropunctatamine (RUM), monascorubramine (MOM), rubropunctatin (RUN), monascorubrin (MON), monascin (MS), and ankaflavin (AK). However, exposure to varying levels of blue light had different effects on pigment production. Exposure to 100 lux of blue light once for 30 min/day and to 100 lux of blue light once and twice for 15 min/day could enhance RUM, MOM, MS, and AK production and reduce RUN and MON compared with non-exposure. Exposure to 100 lux twice for 30 min/day and to 200 lux once for 45 min/day decreased the RUM, MOM, MS, and AK yields and increased the RUN and MON. Meanwhile, the expression levels of pigment biosynthetic genes were analyzed by real-time quantitative PCR. Results indicated that gene MpPKS5, mppR1, mppA, mppB, mmpC, mppD , MpFasA, MpFasB, and mppF were positively correlated with the yields of RUN and MON, whereas mppE and mppR2 were associated with RUM, MOM, MS, and AK production.

        Valeriana jatamansi Jones Inhibits Rotavirus-Induced Diarrhea via Phosphatidylinositol 3-Kinase/Protein Kinase B Signaling Pathway

        Rotavirus (RV), as the main cause of diarrhea in children under 5 years, contributes to various childhood diseases. Valeriana jatamansi Jones is a traditional Chinese herb and possesses antiviral effects. In this study we investigated the potential mechanisms of V. jatamansi Jones in RV-induced diarrhea. MTT assay was performed to evaluate cell proliferation and the diarrhea mice model was constructed using SA11 infection. Mice were administered V. jatamansi Jones and ribavirin. Diarrhea score was used to evaluate the treatment effect. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was performed to detect the level of cytokines. Western blot and quantitative reverse transcription-PCR were used to determine protein and mRNA levels, respectively. Hematoxylin-eosin staining was applied to detect the pathological change of the small intestine. TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling was conducted to determine the apoptosis rate. The results showed V. jatamansi Jones promoted MA104 proliferation. V. jatamansi Jones downregulated phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K) and protein kinase B (AKT) in protein level, which was consistent with the immunohistochemistry results. Moreover, V. jatamansi Jones combined with ribavirin regulated interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interferon γ, IL-6, tumor necrosis factor α, and IL-10, and suppressed secretory immunoglobulin A secretion to remove viruses and inhibit dehydration. V. jatamansi Jones + ribavirin facilitated the apoptosis of small intestine cells. In conclusion, V. jatamansi Jones may inhibit RV-induced diarrhea through PI3K/AKT signaling pathway, and could therefore be a potential therapy for diarrhea.
