대학생 진로의사결정 상태의 하위유형 분석 = Analysis of Subtypes for Career decision status of University Students

The purpose of this study is to examine the subtypes of career decision status of university student’s using cluster analysis and to identify characteristics for each subtypes of career decision status. 374 university students in Korea were sampled in this study. The instruments of the study consisted of for Structured Question List: Career Decision Profile, Career Stress Inventory, Vocational Rating Scale, Problem Solving Inventory and Work Preference Inventory. This results are as followed. Firstly using cluster analysis, two types of each subtypes of career decision status were identified. There were significant differences in total score of Career Stress Inventory, Vocational Rating Scale, Problem Solving Inventory and Work Preference Inventory. Secondly, the characteristics of students who have awareness of career identity were low career stress in comparison with the students have unawareness of career identify. Also the characteristics of students who have awareness of career identity were low level of career decision. This study provides an initial taxonomy of career problems not only undecided but also decided. We found difficulties existing in the decided via analyzing the subtype of career decision status. Despite some limitation, this study provides the empirical evidence and the insight on studying the problematic career decision status, which would provide clear implications for researchers and practitioners.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 진로 미결정과 결정 간의 차이를 넘어서 결정자와 미결정자의 하위유형을 파악하고, 각 집단의 구체적인 상태에 대해 밝히고자 하였다. 먼저, 결정성과 편안성을 기준으로 374명 대학생의 진로의사결정 상태를 2차원으로 구분(김경은, 2011)한 후, 각 진로의사결정 상태(결정-편안, 결정-불편, 미결정-편안, 미결정-불편)별로 직업적 자기개념명료화, 문제해결력, 직업 내․외적가치를 기본 자료로 하여 군집분석을 실시함으로써 집단 내 하위 유형들이 발견되는지 확인하였다. 군집분석 결과 사례수가 작은 미결정-편안 유형을 제외한 나머지 유형에서 상이한 특성을 지닌 군집이 각각 2개씩 확인되었다. 다음으로 군집분석을 통해 나타난 하위군집 간의 특성 차이를 알아보기 위하여 총 6개 군집의 진로스트레스, 직업적 자기개념명료화, 문제해결력, 직업 내․외적가치의 변인 차이를 분석한 결과, 직업적 자기개념이 명료하지 않은 대학생이 명료한 대학생보다 진로스트레스가 높았고, 특히 진로스트레스 중 진로모호성이 높고 직업적 자기개념이 명료하지 못할수록 진로결정 수준이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점을 논하고 후속연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.
