유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 유아교육공동체에 대한 인식에 영향을 미치는 변인 = A study of factors affecting mothers` perceptions toward early childhood educational community

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined factors affecting perceptions of mothers with young children toward early childhood educational community. The independent variables were mothers’ age, educational backgrounds and parental self-concept. Also mothers`` personal evaluation of early childhood educational settings by criteria of community characteristics and educational agent were included. The subjects consisted of 175 mothers with young children who attended early childhood educational settings. Parental Self-Concept Scale and Awareness of Early Childhood Educational Community Scale were used for data collection. The data were analyzed by test of normality, partial correlation, and hierarchical regression. The results were as follows: 1) Mothers’ age has affected their perceptions of early childhood educational community and its sub-variables (e.g. sense of partnership and sharing key values between members). 2) Mothers`` personal evaluation of educational community and understanding of educational agents have affected their perceptions toward early childhood educational community and its sub-variables. 3) Two sub-variables in parental self-concept have influenced the perceptions toward educational community: cooperation with others was related to sense of partnership and independence was associated with sharing key values of member. The implications and future study were discussed based on how mothers`` ages, their understanding and perception of educational community and parental self-concept could be included in parent education to establish sound educational community.
