아동학대 경험이 아동의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향: 내재화 문제와 외현화 문제의 매개효과 = The Effects of Child Abuse Experience on Children`s School Adjustment: The Mediating Effects of Internalizing and Externalizing Problems

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aims of this study were to investigate the effects of child abuse experience on children’s school adjustment and to identify mediating effects of internalizing and externalizing problems. To this end, we used the third year data from the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(2010 KCYPS). The subjects consisted of 2,188 6th grade students from elementary schools. Structural Equation Model(SEM) was conducted to examine the mediating effects of internalizing and externalizing problems. Our analysis showed that child abuse experience had no direct effect on children’s school adjustment, while both internalizing and externalizing problems have negative effects on children’s school adjustment. Moreover, internalizing and externalizing problems fully mediated the effects of child abuse experience on children’s school adjustment. Based on these findings, this study suggests that preventive education and counseling for internalizing and externalizing problems need to be focused.
